Which is better- dentist prescribed at home bleaching trays or chairside zoom teeth whitening?

Im interested in teeth whitening - I want fast (of course), with great results - but I also want the most economical. I've been hearing that the dentist prescribed at home bleaching provides the same results as the in-office chair-side whitening -but that the at home takes a little more time.

You answered your question perfectly right. While it will take a bit longer it is less expensive. So is the 2 or 3 weeks of extra time worth saving the money? You should get pretty much the same end results. Good luck

Not really.

Do teeth whitening products work at all?

Such as Whitening toothpaste, and white strips? I mean it needs to be powerful enough to bleach your teeth, that doesn't seem like something they would be allowed to sell to the public. Anyone had any results?

I have only had temporary improvements with teeth whitening products. In the end, they fade by the end of the day. However, I heard that burshing your teeth with baking soda makes them whiter. I saw results on the first try! This also faded; however, I kept at it daily for a month, and my teeth are now whiter! It does taste kinda bad, but it's worth it. The way to get the most dramatic and quickest results is just to get your teeth professionally whitened though, I feel.

What Foods to Avoid After Teeth Whitening?

I just got my teeth whitened two hours ago via BriteWhite. I am pleased with the results and want to do everything possible to further the whitening and prevent the stains from returning. My questions is what foods, drinks, and drugs/vitamins (if any) to avoid for the first day or two, and then what food, drinks, or drugs/vitamins (if any) to avoid permanently. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Coffee, tea, soda, anything colored. Your teeth will absorb any color for about three days, until they re harden. I know, I wanted a cup of coffee so bad. Just clear liquids, I did not even eat thing like tomatoes, peaches, cherries, that had color. costs too much to ruin the smile. I even bought white toothpaste, mine was green and white, and I did not want to take a chance. They(teeth), are said to be porous until they harden. Now mine looked just so nice at first, but about five hours later, I looked in the mirror and my upper lip looked like a duck, I turned the upper lip up to look inside and it had a blister from one side to the other. I did not realize it, did not feel it until it happened. Now if this does happen to you, get some orajel and put on inside of upper lip. The lip sticks out so you will not swallow it. I also bought Sensodyne toothpaste. This went away after two days.

Do teeth whitening strips really work?

I have white teeth but I want to make them like bleach white. I got my braces off 2 months ago and I always brush my teeth 2 times a day because that's the only times I can get a chance to. I chew lots of gum that claim to whiten your teeth, and I notice a small changes in my shade of white. I was wondering if whitening strips really fasten process up?
--------------------
Well I'd imagine that they do work, but i really suggest that you don't try them. All you're doing with the whitestrips is bleaching your teeth, which will severely damage your tooth enamel (NOT A GOOD THINGGG!) If you want white teeth, just use the natural, harmless way. Baking soda. It has a horrible taste, but it works. And just to let you know, bleach white teeth are very unatractive, and kind of creepy :S

I was thinking about getting my teeth whitening how much does it cost?

Is it worth getting your teeth whitening or bleach.
--------------------
The top dentist in my area charges 450.00 and they send you home with a kit so you can keep it up. Do not pay several hundred as an earlier person stated. Call around and find out what the rate is in your area. If you live in a big city, things will be more expensive, small town, smaller prices but still expect something around the $500 range.
