Should I be eating certain foods, or not eating certain foods. Any cheap and effective ways. I am going to be in a wedding this summer so I want them as white as they can get. My teeth aren't yellow they just aren't as white as I would like them to be.
--------------------
Def. avoid coffee and I've heard grape juice. You could use Crest white strips sold at any pharmacy or Walmart type store.

Any advice on getting teeth whitened?
Im thinking of going to a dentist and getting my teeth whitened. What do you think?

No one's teeth are naturally white. They are different shades of white so you can never really get 100% white teeth. But there are products which can help you remove stains and give your teeth a cleaner look. The best way is to go to a dentist and pay for a teeth whitening treatment. But that is generally reserved for people who have badly stained teeth or people who have had their braces recently removed. For an average person, there are several solutions available in the market. The most popular are whitening strips. They are popular because they are the easiest to apply. But they may not be the most effective. I tried out strips but they didn't work for me because they kept coming off, and they take way too long to make an affect. I resorted to using baking soda and bleach but it was too painful. The best solution I have come across is the teeth whitening tips. It's the closest thing to what the dentist use. It's a powder you apply on your teeth using tips, which removes stains and such. I used it for a week with good results I saw the ad on CNN. Here's a link to the site http://www.teethwhiten.com/splash.php?ai

What is the best natural way to whiten teeth?
?

Hi, Lot of people do face problems with yellow teeth. The reason for yellow teeth can be less calcium, smoking or coffee. Some people face problems like yellow to faint yellow teeth also because of too much brushing or using products which harm teeth. While baking soda or peroxide can make your teeth white but it is not recommended. Dentists world over do not recommend use of such pure form substances on teeth as they harm your teeth in longer run. Not all whitening trays are good, in fact many people have complained about irritation and pain with trays. Yellow teeth are not always unhealthy while bright white teeth can be unhealthy. Lot of people want white teeth so that they can smile big and don't get embarrassed while talking to friends and colleagues. Such people can use teeth whitening pens which are 100% safe for your teeth. The best thing about these products is that you can easily get FREE trial to have white teeth. You may order your free trials and have white teeth. You just have to pay for the shipping and handling. Its always better to try before you buy and I am sure it will work for everyone including you. BTW the website where you can get such free samples is http://tinyurl.com/freewhiteteeth I am not promoting the website nor am I associated with it in any manner. Just trying to help someone who is worried about bad/yellow teeth. Hope this helps. Thanx :-)

What is the best whitener for teeth?
I've heard crest white strips work well, but they are so pricey and I've heard that they make your teeth very sensitive, and my teeth are already sensitive! Any other good, affordable suggestions? Maybe at home ideas to whiten teeth?

The very best and quickest results you will get from professional in-office whitening when either the Zoom or Britesmile system is used. This takes a couple of hours and costs a significant amount but it is the BEST way to whiten your teeth. The second best way is to use the take-home trays and use them for a couple of weeks for a couple of hours every day. The third best way is to use Crest White Strips Ways 1 and 2 give you recourse if you run into any sensitivity issues in that the dental office is in the best position to advise and treat you for sensitivity. There is a direct correlation between price and effectiveness in this instance! Sensitivity is a common sideffect of whitening so if you decide to do any kind of whitening for a couple of weeks prior to starting brush your teeth with a toothpaste for sensitive teeth such as Sensodyne. This will build up some of the desensitizers in the tooth structure and help with the sensitivity issues. Also instead of whitening every day try every other day and instead of keeping the stuff in your mouth for the full time, try only half the time. It will take longer to get the result you want but will help avoid too much sensitivity!

How do you use Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide to whiten teeth?
Like how much of each, what to do, and how often. Thanks!
--------------------
You can mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth. Mix few drops of 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide with one teaspoon of baking soda. You can add some toothpaste in the mixture for better taste. The paste will be formed - brush your teeth with it. After you're done, spit out the remaining and rinse your mouth. How often should you do this is the question I can't answer correctly, because I don't know how fast do you want to whiten your teeth and I don't know how sensitive your teeth are. Start with two/three times a week and if you notice unpleasant side effects reduce it to once a week. If you don't notice unpleasant side effects you can try using it more often. Good luck!

My cousin got braces and her teeth were yellow the next day. Why is this?
She had whitened her teeth with Crest Whitening Strips for months before getting her braces so that her teeth would still look nice underneath. Unfortunately, the orthodontist put a "gel" (so she says) on that made her teeth appear to be very yellow and unappealing. She does have good dental hygiene. Why are her teeth yellow and is there any way to get rid of this?

Keep brushing and it should be fine.
