How can I whiten my teeth w/o buying anything expensive?

I use Colgate or Auquafina toothpaste (depending on my mom's or dad's house), I floss in the mornings, and occasionally use mouthwash. If I do use mouthwash, It's either listerine or store-brand fry's (again depending on my mom's or dad's house). I cant change what they buy and i'd rather not spend my money. I heard u can use baking soda? Can someone give me ideas.

I wante dto do that also, and I bought the toothpastes that said whitenner, but I want to share with you the faults so you have a chance before doing what I did. I kept getting pain in my gums-I've never had anything wrong with my teeth in my life-no cavitees ever, no braces, nodda. I go see the dentist and they tell me that whitenner causes the nerves to start showing up above the gumlines. Those nerves never go back inside. It's painful when it acts up. I now have to buy sensodyne. ouch. so just remember when you try any chemicals that are burning the yellows off teeth, they will also burn the gums slowly. I didn't even have anything I should have been worying about-so if you don't either, I'd say skip it.
