Can I Use Baking Soda to Whiten my Teeth?
I have braces (but on the inside of my teeth, the ones that the orthodontist puts on after you have your regular braces taken off), and i heard that baking soda can dissolve orthodontic glue?
--------------------
Never heard of baking soda dissolving orthodontic glue. Consult with your orthodontist before you whiten your teeth. They will tell you your best treatment options. I have been using crest vivid white toothpaste for about 7 years and it keep my teeth white.

Anyone try that neon light that you place in your mouth to whiten your teeth?
If yes, did it work and what was the name of it? Thanks so much.
--------------------
,That "Neon" light as you called it is actually a Laser type light and the usual procedure is for the dentist to apply a gel over the surface of the teeth and in most cases the laser light strongly activates a combination bleaching and oxygenation process....Since there are a number of brands of dental lasers used to whiten teeth I suggest you go on the Internet and type in Dental Laser Tooth Whitening...That should bring up a number to check out.

I have 2 porcelin veneers (upper front teeth) that are looking grey and ick...i want to get?
my teeth whitened but not sure if that will work witht he fake teeth ihave. My other teeth are actually white in pictures while the fake ones dont show up white and dont mathc colorwise...is there anythin i can do to fix this and make it look perfect?
--------------------
If you have two veneers that are discolored they may have decay starting under them, you need to see the dentist to have them checked. Bleaching will not effect the veneered teeth at all, you would need new veneers or crowns made to the new color. I would suggest having a full aesthetic work-up done with your dentist. Think about whitening prior to the new veneers, so they match the whitened color. If you want the "perfect" look you may consider having the veneers on most if not all of your upper anterior teeth. That way they all match for color and shape bringing a harmony to your smile. Good luck!

I need another method to help prevent plaque from forming on my teeth and a way to whiten my teeth fast?
I already brush my teeth twice a day and use mouth wash but the plaque keeps growing back no matter what
--------------------
There is no way that you can completely stop plaque. You can use toothpaste that slows it down a little but the best thing is to brush right after each meal. Be careful when you brush though, you don't want to damage your gums or you will have problems later. As for teeth whitening, unless you want to get it done professionally by a dentist, the Crest set that you buy for about $30 does well. You do have to be careful there too, follow the directions, you don't want to erode your enamel.

Any toothpaste brands that say they are ADA approved means that their statements have been tested by the ADA to prove that they are true. If one of those toothpastes says that they whiten teeth, then that is the best way to go. The thing is, toothpaste only removes surface stains. Teeth are naturally white underneath your enamel. If you see yellow that looks like it is under the white-looking enamel on your teeth, then that is perfectly normal. This yellowish substance is called dentin. It can be whitened through bleaching. This also dehydrates your dentin though, which is what gives it the white-looking appearance.

i heard that strawberries are a natural teeth whitener. also paw paw is supposed to have similar effects. not sure how they are applied exactly but im sure you would use them with a toothbrush. natural whitening doesnt happen overnight so you would probably have to repeat regularly. good luck :)
