I have an appointment tomorrow for teeth whitening at a spa, and wanted to find out what the tipping etiquette for this type of procedure is. Thanks!
--------------------
You're trusting your teeth to someone at a spa? I wouldn't worry about what you should tip this person. I would worry about what training they have and whether they are certified as a dental care professional. I personally, I would not let anyone who isn't a dentist, a dental assistant, or a dental hygienist get anywhere near my teeth.

Are there any teeth whitening products that will make your teeth blindingly white?
I recentley got the Rembrant 2 hour whitening system and some other generic brand and neither of them worked on my teeth are there any that would? I have a slight over -bite so white strips don't work for me.
--------------------
Try this: Put some baking soda on your tooth brush and brush for 5 minutes. Rinse, spit, add more, whatever but do it for five minutes a day, or twice. Careful, it make sure your gums. Or get a thin wash cloth, wet it and put baking soda on it and rub your teeth for five minutes. I recently heard this from a friend who has amazing white teeth. I just started doing it and I already see results.

Do generic brand teeth whitening strips work as well as the name brand?
I've noticed in some stores they sell a generic brand option for teeth whitening strips, and they're a lot cheaper than the name brand kinds. Do these work as well? Or even work at all? (My teeth aren't really yellow, but if I could get them just a couple shades brighter I would be happy, so they don't have to be AMAZING, just work a little.)
--------------------
I've used Walgreen's brand of white strips and they had the same result: whitened quite nicely and lasted for a while. Don't forget to keep up with your dental hygiene in order to preserve the whitening. I would have to say, though, that the trays/strips each uses are much different. Instead of Crest's clear, thin strip that doesn't stick to your teeth very well, Walgreen's brand has an actual plastic-type of strips that mold to your teeth. They're thick and blue, but they stay on much better and don't make you salivate and taste that weird whitening taste too much. (I usually keep a cup with me so that I can spit out the weird taste instead of swallowing it.) If you want to try strips that are nearly invisible, go with the name brands or brands that say that their strips are clear. If you don't care, I would highly recommend Walgreen's or Fry's brands (I've tried both). You also need to consider the time each takes. Walgreen's (Fry's, too, I think) takes 14 days (once a day for 20 or 30 min) and Crest (and other name brands) offer ones that only take 7 days. In terms of effects on your teeth (like ruining the enamel and such), I'm not sure if there is a significant difference. I haven't noticed any changes in my teeth and I've used all three brands (Walgreen's, Fry's, and Crest) within the past 6 years. I'm thinking about whitening them again, and I'll just go with the cheapest ones that I find. Good luck!

Does teeth whitening cause teeth to get a clear color at the tip of the teeth?
I just had a teeth whitening a few weeks ago and I started to notice a clear color on the tip of my two front teeth, can someone tell me if teeth whitening usually causes this and can it be fixed? Can someone please let me know? Thank u

You could have weak enamel from the whitening. I had braces and after I got them removed I whitened my teeth. I got the white tips and they haven't gone away, just kinda faded and its been like 4 years.

Hi my friend, My dentist told me $400 for the trays of professional whitener professionally molded to the shape of your teeth. ($200 top, $200 bottom) but if I wait until January, it's discounted to only $300 ($150 top, $150 bottom) My dentist also offers "Zoom" that uses light to whiten, but that costs $800 and does the same thing. Both options my dentist offered are 10x better than the whiten-at-home things, and they are done professionally. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THE WHITEN-AT-HOME SCAMS! You see, for only $300 I can get my teeth professionally whitened, but if I spend $80 like ten times over the course of several years for the ones like Luminous Brites (SCAM), I could have just as easily spent that $800 on the light-whitening thing at the dentist, or I could do the $300 option that is just as good, and used the other $500 on something more important. Also, think about the time you'll have to spend doing it yourself - not to mention most people never even finish one set of them because it's tedious! Also, all the ones you can do yourself like Lumious Brites (SCAM) many people have reported it causing sensitive gums, which is a serious dental issue and could cost you another $1,000 - $3,000 in dentist costs! So just save like $300 and get your dentist to professionally do it for you. Then you have no worries! Also it's just a waste of money to pay for the light-whitening or laser-whitening. The dentist makes a ton of money off it too, so don't let him/her sell you on it! It really works no better than the professional whitening that is placed in a plastic/rubber/ish [professional] impression of your teeth. Also your dentist knows what he's doing and if he screws up you can sue him for malpractice so at least you have a fall-back plan so you don't get screwed up gums and stuck with a $3,000 dental bill. If you screw up your gums yourself, you have no fall-back plan; and plus you're not an expert but your dentist is. Hope this helps! Good luck!

What is a good teeth whitening brand/method?
I would like to get a professional teeth whitening but unfortunately I just learned that it costs around $600! Has anyone used any store bought whitening trays/gel, etc with good results? My teeth aren't severely discolored--I drink a lot of tea and cola and they are a bit stained from that. Please only answer if you have used the product yourself! Thanks!

Crest whitening strips work great. I used them 4 years ago and my teeth are still really white (I get complimented on how white they are all the time). They made my teeth super sensitive for a while, and they aren't the best for your enamel, so I haven't done it recently. If you whiten them, just take really good care of them and use whitening toothpaste, mouthwash to maintain them because it isn't healthy to use whitening strips too often.

Can you brush your teeth after using teeth whitening strips?
Does brushing your teeth after using teeth whitening strips ruin what the strips did? After i use my strips it leaves this thick gummy material left from the gel on the strip. I brush my teeth after just to get it off but i was wondering if that just totally ruins what the strips did. And if it does, how can i get the gel off my teeth without reversing or ruining what the strips did?
--------------------
Well normally you should brush your teeth before whitening. But if you wish to brush your teeth after whitening to get rid of the gel, it will NOT ruin or revers the whitening. How ever, it is enought to just rins. your mouth a couple of times with water, and the gel will be cleaned but if you like to brush your tooth afterward, no problems!

What teeth whitening product do you suggest?
What teeth whitening product(s) have you tried that work? I intend to order online.
--------------------
You should first understand that most teeth whitening procedures will work with natural teeth; veneers, crowns, bondings and fillings don't usually respond to whitening agents.. It would also depend on the undertone one has which range from Pale yellow to pale brown or grey.Teeth whitening generally works for those with Pale yellow undertone as compared to those with Brown undertone. Bleaching would be a success generally for those whose teeth are stained because of tea, coffee, wine or cola. As for online ordering, well I would suggest that you would be better off avoiding it. Companies looking to make a fast buck often invent fake personalities, reviews and testimonials to convince you their product is the real deal and worth the inflated (or unreasonably discounted) price you're paying. One of the tricks used is to build credibility for useless products is the fake review website. Scamsters create their own websites devoted to reviews of whitening products - and publish phony reviews, tests and claims - under the guise of objective Internet journalism. Some of the false testominoal/blog sties will even check your location via IP address, then plug your city in the testimonial

What companies offer free trials or money-back guarantees for teeth whitening products?
I used to remember seen TV infomercials on teeth whitening gel trays and all sorts, but I don't know where to look for them now. I'm looking for free trials or money-back guarantees, mostly so I can use them and then return it for free, haha! Better than paying retail for something like Crest White Strips. Booya. Help me out, and you'll get 10 points.

Many offers available! I ordered free trial offers over the net and then bought whitening toothpaste to maintain the results. Alone I found the pastes didn't do much but they are great for maintaining.

What teeth whitening method do you think is better, laser or the gel trays?
I'm referring to whitening options from the dentist. My teeth aren't badly stained, but the over-the-counter stuff wasn't doing anything for me. I'm leaning towards laser because I'm afraid the chemicals in the gel trays getting absorbed into my gums. And which is better price wise? What are your thoughts?
--------------------
I would say gel trays, you control the length of time you bleach or Whiten your teeth, and you can do it at home when ever you want and you can touch up your teeth how ever often you need to as long as you have the custom trays, although the laser light whitens you quicker, they end up giving you the gel anyways, the material in the trays/gel you use is mostly peroxide, and when you use the laser the same stuff is applied to your teeth befor they put the light on them so eather way, peroxide is sitting on your teeth. My advice go with the trays they are less expensive than the laser and you can use them over and over again with eventually getting the same result

first, i suggest that do not have laser teeth whitening because you are too young. Teeth whitening is not recommended in children younger than 16 because at this age the teeth are still developing and the nerves are enlarged. Teeth whitening may cause irritation of the pulp chamber of the tooth or make it more sensitive. for you, it is advisable to use the dentist-supervised home bleaching that is a teeth whitening tray with lowest concentration of whitening gel. 10 Best selling teeth whitening home products 2009 http://www.teethwhiteningbest.com/teeth- 1.
