The Strips? if so which is the best Crest Aquafresh CVS Rembrandt The paste stuff? what kind what is the BEST way to whiten?
--------------------
i believe the best way is to have your dentist or a professional do it. you will have better looking, longer lasting results. as far as over the counter.. i have used the crest strips and could only wear them for a couple of days. my teeth were so sensitIve to them that for a week after my teeth ached (like if you have something too cold.) and no matter what i ate, they hurt. but ive known lots of people who have had lots of success with the strips. so give them a try and i hope your teeth don't become super sensitive like mine did =)

Fast and affective teeth whitening?
What is the cheapest, quickest way of whitening severely stained teeth when brushing alone doesn't help? Are there any products on the market that ACTUALLY work and works fast?
--------------------
If your teeth are severely stained, you need to get them cleaned professionally. The cleaning will remove much of the stain, and you can speak to the dentist or dental hygienist about your options of whitening. This doesn't mean that you have to get a professional whitening from them (it's very expensive), but you can ask them if your teeth would accept whitening. You may have staining caused by an abnormality that occurred while your teeth were being formed; if this is the case, you would have to ask the dentist about options you have to make your teeth look whiter, or he/she may suggest veneers. It's better to have a professional cleaning and ask their opinion on what you can do than to rush out and buy whitening products that can cause sensitivity that may not even work, and if they do, they're probably just going to mask the problem for a short time. If you do see a professional and they say you could accept whitening, I know that crest whitestrips worked for me when I was getting married, but I did the ones that took 2 weeks. I had really sensitive teeth when I was done, but I know that if you get the ones that take one week you're going to have VERY sensitive teeth and it's not comfortable at all. Just before christmas, I was able to get a mouth tray that conformed to the shape of my mouth and a whitening paste that had fluoride in it. The paste didn't cause any sensitivity whatsoever to my teeth, and the tray was cut so that the whitening product didn't touch my gums and cause pain (which the crest whitestrips go right over your gums, which make them sore). Of course, I got this mouth tray and whitening paste from my school and it was free for me, but it worked great. Some dental hygiene schools will offer whitening for very cheap compared to dental offices, so that's another option. Good luck to you, I hope you can find something that works!

Whitening stripes on teeth with white spots?
I have calcium deposits on some of my teeth on the bottom of them (not noticeable unless your close) but I want my teeth to be whiter, should I use crest whitening stripes or get them done professionally? or would the spots be REALLY noticeable?
--------------------
This is a very tough question. There are two ways to get rid of the white spots: #1: Bleach the teeth even more As you lighten the remaining tooth structure, the contrast fades. The white spot(s) may appear to fade away. Power bleaching increases permeability of enamel (similar to the way it was when the patient was 14 years old), and will then allow the surrounding tooth structure to get REALLY white. You can't get whiter than WHITE. So the surrouding tooth structure tends to almost catch up in color to the spots. End result is that the spots are still there, but they will blend much better. #2: Microabrasion If the bleaching does not remove the white decalcified spot enough to your expectations, the dentist can use a course diamond and remove the spot mechanically with a strong bevel all the way around the spot. This can be done without any anesthesia. A translucent composite is then placed over it. From http://www.teethwhiteningreviews.com/mes

Is whitening your teeth too much bad ?
I whiten my teeth 2-3 time a day once in morning and night with CVS 5 minute whitening gel and once in a while LiquidSmile Bleaching Pen. Is it bad if you whiten your teeth that much a day and for a long period of time?? If so why??
--------------------
it can wear away the enamel on your teeth, why do you do it so often? i think it's kind of creepy when i see people with super white teeth.

Is it ok to Gargle with peroxide and brush your teeth with baking soda to whitening them?
My mom said i can use those if i want to whiten my teeth, she does it and her teeth are really white...does anyone know if its bad or not??
--------------------
It is OK to brush your teeth with a bit of baking soda( I recommend only once a day), but there toothpaste that use baking soda, and have that nice minty fresh taste we have become used to. (My favorite is Arm & Hammer toothpaste) I haven't professionally whitened my teeth, I drink wine and coffee, and I am very happy with the results) I DON'T recommend gargling with peroxide unless you have a cut or ulcer that requires short periods of treatment. Peroxide is not recommended for daily use, and it has been proven to cause cancer when used for long periods of time.

Okay for 12 year old to use teeth whitening trays/strips?
Like Crest Whitestrips or something? And can you use them if you have crooked teeth? Thanks :]
--------------------
To answer your question, yes a 12 year old can use them and they are perfectly safe for them to use. And they will work on crooked teeth because the white strips are flexible and will adapt to almost any imperfections. A 12 year old may have more sensitivity than an adult would have because the pulp/nerve on the inside of the tooth is bigger on younger people. But sensitivity levels are different for different individuals.

Thank you!

My daddy is a dentist so I'm just telling you what I've heard from him. The best bet would be to talk to your dentist about a tooth whitening tray. They will supply you with everything you need. The only thing with Crest Whitestrips and other whitening things is that they could possibly make your teeth very sensitive.

whitening teeth can be fast when you try to naturally avoid things that can get your teeth become discolored like tea, coffee, plum, sauces, red wine, chocolates and colas as well as many more. the use of at home teeth whitening can be a great help. but the thing is you must be able to seek the best teeth whitening system and product that contains high quality ingredients so that you will not experience gum irritation. you can also consult a dental expert about best teeth whiteners. brushing and flossing after meal can also help a lot. for more tips about safe and effective teeth whitening visit http://www.trustedhealthproducts.com

well from her point of view she probably thinks like this "people will only watch my show if I am pretty and I will only get sponsor ship if I am pretty but because I have no job anymore if I lose the show we are gonna end up on the streets so I have to be pretty to support my kids" but I personally think she is just shallow

Has anyone tried the Listerine teeth-whitening dissolvable strips?
also, do they work, and if not, what would you prefer?
--------------------
Yes i have tried them. They do work and they make your teeth white. The bad thing is as they dissolve they leave tiny bits of the strips b/w your teeth and when you go on with your life they begin to grind b/w your teeth making a bad feeling. Then the taste of the dissolved strips make you want to rinse your moth over and over. Eventually you will have to brush your teen or eat something strong (milk worked for me) to get the taste out. It all depends of you are ready to make the sacrifice. IS IT WORTH IT FOR YOU?

What are the best products for teeth whitening?
But nothing too pricey... thanks =)
--------------------
I can say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips (which cost about $20.00), some more than others. Our office uses the Supreme which are 4 times stronger than what you can get in the store (AND cost $60.00), but the others will work as well but take more time and possibly more than one kit. The results are usually pretty quick, noticeable in the first few days, best in a week or longer. If you can, do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar, plaque, or orthodontic cement) will impede their ability to work. They will not whiten any white fillings you may have, but whiten uniformly. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). You should not drink or eat anything dark for at least 1/2 hour after using the strips. The strips/trays are your least costly whitening method as compared to custom made trays or in office whitening ($500.00+) All of the methods (strips, trays, custom trays, in office whitening) have the potential to make your teeth temporarily sensitive, but will not harm the enamel. If you get sensitive use the product every other day in conjunction with a sensitive tooth toothpaste. You might try to drink dark liquids through a straw and don't smoke. Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again. Good luck! JAMRDH - a dental hygienist

I need ur advice please ! Teeth whitening- Should I ??? ?
Hey folks. Listen, I am considering on getting my teeth whitened. My teeth are pretty straight and healthy, and so I thought it would be awesome to just turn things up a knotch and go and get my teeth bleached. The particular system that my dentist uses is the Zoom whitening system. Can anyone explain the process ? What was the experience like ? Was it painful ? How much ? Was it worth it or pass on it ? I would really appreciate any experiences, tips or advice ! Thanks !
--------------------
Zoom is an 'in office' procedure, time intensive and somewhat expensive.... Most offices now reccomend the 'take home tray' style whitening...a custom tray is moulded and then you whiten daily over a week or so with the same result as the zoom....BUT, you keep the tray and the re-treatment cost is just the cost of the bleaching vials....MUCH CHEAPER in the LONG run...as you will want to re-treat every 12-18 mos.....and the vials are less that $20 ea. SO, ask about a take-home style...the Zoom is a one-shot deal

One of the latest trends in beauty is getting your teeth whitened. Beside of a nice suit and a great hair style, a perfect dazzling smile is a must-have. When come to teeth whitening, you could think of toothpaste, but actually it is only works on surface stains because the concentration of bleaching agent is very low so that cosmetic dentistry is needed. One can maintain healthy teeth by regularly practicing good dental hygiene habits. It is essentially important to clean your teeth on a daily basis and visit your dentist one or two times a year. Teeth whitening, also known as teeth bleaching are a common procedure especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Teeth bleaching is the process of whiten your teeth. Teeth that are yellow respond best to bleaching. There are many chemicals that can get your teeth to be whiter, and there are many procedures of doing so. If you think that cosmetic dentistry is the correct choice for you, you should always ask the professional which technique is work best for you. There are many different procedures that dentists will be able to do. That is includes using cleaning materials or use ultra violet lights to remove all of the stains from your teeth. Laser is widely used, it can get the most dramatic result but it is also the most expensive option. Laser teeth whitening can last you for several years if you follow the routine of brushing your teeth twice a day with whitening toothpaste. There are domestic teeth whiteners and i would be cautious because through consultancy there are those such as crest that do have good effects but take weeks and actually only take the surface residue away meaning you have to use them for pro-longed periods. They do claim to take away plaque too but i wouldn't rely on them to do such a thing due to there lack of testing. I know there is a product that controls its own patent on their strips meaning no other company can copy or emulate there product. They clean 55-75% of plaque and also show lasting results within six days. Therefore i use them in my consultations and my clients are happy with there 90 day money back guarantee. I have included there website for further information. Hope i helped

Is it ok to take some whitening toothpaste and rub it on your front teeth overnight before bed and leave it?
just wondering if thats a good idea and it might help whiten my teeth and make them stronger, or is leaving pure toothpaste on your teeth for along time bad and overpowering?
--------------------
Doing so won't be effective, as whitening toothpaste is designed to work via brushing, not just sitting there. Fluoride is also slightly poisonous and should not be ingested (small amounts are ok, no need to call the poison control center if you accidentally swallow the amount of toothpaste normally used for brushing, but it's not something you should do intentionally). Whitening strips or trays are designed to adhere to the teeth and contain a whitening ingredient that removes stains from the teeth via contact. The strips or trays also adhere lightly to the teeth, so they are not washed away by saliva like tooth paste would be. I've personally used the store brand whitening trays, which run about $23 for a 10-day treatment and are extremely effective.

Whitening strips hurt my teeth too - it feels like a sharp, intense pain. Try Idol White. It is a teeth whitening pen that works by applying a small amount of translucent gel to the teeth. This gel works to counteract teeth staining. It's easy to apply (no awkward gum trays to wear) - you simply dispense gel from the whitening pen onto your teeth. The product is even used and endorsed by Kim Kardashian. You can read more about Idol White here if you are interested: http://www.glamouredited.com/celebriites hope this helps : )
