I heard that you can use baking soda to whiten your teeth but i tried it and it didnt work. I would do it 3 times a week for 1 month but it just got a little bit whiter. What can i do to make using baking soda more effectively? If there are any other ways to whiten your teeth could you tell me. Thanks!

I am a coffee addict too. In order to keep your teeth white rinse your mouth with water or mouth wash right after you drink coffee. If not possible chew trident white. GOOD LUCK

Why dose my Uncles Chain-smoking wife use whitening toothpaste and anti wrinkle cream?
My uncle and his new wife (NOT my aunt) were staying here 4 the weekend…she smokes non stop 2 packs a day, in a house where no one smokes…This pisses me off to no end, and she doesn't seem to think there is any problem lighting up in front of non smokers….But the thing that baffles me the most…she uses whitening tooth paste, even though her teeth are BLACK.. What can I use thats fairly cheap to whiten my teeth?
My teeth have this nasty yellow tint to them, and nothing is working. I brush every day but its not going away at all and it makes me really self conscious. I can't afford the white strips or anything over like ten dollars lol. Please and thank you. :)

No, they aren't that great. Try the Rembrandt ones, they work really fast and they stay on your teeth better than the Crest ones do. They cost a little more, but they are well worth it. You can buy them at places like Target, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart.

Should I whiten/bleach my teeth before getting a cap put on?
I have a grayish tone to one of my front teeth (completely the dentists fault), so my dentist said he would fix it no charge. However, he told me he would be uncomfortable putting the cap on my tooth unless I got them bleached or whitened first because the cap will be that color permanently. Has anyone ever heard of this, or been told this? Any opinions??? Should I match my cap to my teeth as they are now, or whiten them first? Thanks in advance :)

Just got my braces off, and my teeth are slightly yellow. Since i now have nice straight teeth, i want them to be extremely white! I'm going to make an appointment with a hygenist but theres a lengthy waiting list, so what products can i use in the meantime to make them abit whiter? The full pack you are talking about is a little over 30 bucks, am I right? The trial packs can be found on the shelves, or in those black bins where they have small sample bottles of products. I got away with buying 2 trial packs. Each pack is 5.99 and has 5 packets in them, with two strips in each packet. One strip for upper teeth, one for lower. I think my suggestion for you is a better alternative because you spend about 18 bucks buying all that I suggested for you right now....and you use less chemicals on your teeth. With the trial packs, you can see your teeth remove that tint you are talking about and maintain your bright teeth with the toothpaste naturally. Will Crest Whitestrips Classic help to whiten my teeth?
School is starting in a few weeks, and I want to whiten my teeth before it starts, since my teeth are yellow. I told my mom I wanted to buy a pack, but she told me not to because she said it would make my teeth more able to show stains and could damage my enamel. I was given them by my orthodontist after I got my braces off. This is because braces made it difficult to brush my teeth so I had yellow spots around the brackets. He gave me the Premium strips.. which.. I don't think there's a difference since I have Classic now (other than Premium gives you more strips). I didn't even have to finish the entire package in order for my teeth to turn dramatically whiter. It got rid of all those nasty yellow spots and my teeth looked fantastic. I saved the rest of the package thinking that it would go away in 12 months like it said but it lasted way longer! I was able to use the rest of the package for touch-ups before photos or prom and whatnot. I'm only now having to whiten my teeth again after graduating high school! If my orthodontist gave them to me.. they obviously cannot be that damaging to your teeth. He was truly an awesome orthodontist. Not only that, but I had sensitivity issues prior to using the strips anyway (no ice in my drinks please) and I noticed no difference after using them. I accidentally got tooth whitening bleach on my gums and now they're white. What should I do?
I got tooth whitening stuff from my dentist. I put the moulds on and after 5 minutes it hurt quite a bit. i looked in the mirror and saw that my gums were white. I quickly took the moulds off and wiped off the bleach so that there was none left on my gums but they are still white. What should I do?

Nothing. It's the peroxide and it will go away. The same thing would have happened if you had brushed your teeth with liquid peroxide. Give it 20 minutes or so, rinsing your mouth with plain water may speed the process.
