Bleaching and Zoom work great! Capping if your teeth are really messed up. Cheapest is getting trays and bleach from your dentist. My teeth were orange and are now so white everyone asks what I do! I did bleaching and Zoom. Zoom took 1 hour and made my teeth sensitive but worked really well. A lot of dentists offer free Zoom to move to their practice. If not, you can find it for a few hundred bucks. Bleaching took about two weeks to see a huge difference but it has lasted for over 6 months now and I only did one touch-up since. Zoom lasts for years and years depending on coffee, wine and tomato sauce consumption.

How can I whiten my teeth other than using white strips or getting them bleached by a dentist? I already brush them twice a day

Just got my braces off, and my teeth are slightly yellow. Since i now have nice straight teeth, i want them to be extremely white! I'm going to make an appointment with a hygenist but theres a lengthy waiting list, so what products can i use in the meantime to make them abit whiter? Is chewing trident gum actually good for your teeth?
It's a sugarless gum but it has some artificial ingredient that sweetens it. I've read things here and there that say dentists claim that it strengthens or whitens your teeth. Is this true, and is there any health / mental benefits from any gum, really?

You could always ask your dentist, but that tends to be really, really expensive. If you want to try whitening without using the strips, you could try whitening toothpaste or mouthwash. I am a fan of the Crest Whitestrips. They worked well for me. I do use them with the Crest whitening mouthwash.

i was born with salmonella, so i was put on some medication to get rid of it quickly. due to the medication, my teeth were stained a little yellow and no amount of extra whitening toothpaste or whitening strips has worked. how can i get my teeth to be white?

The type of staining you have is not fixable by normal whitening so you are going to need to see your DDS and see what cosmetic opinions are best for you. I would recommend Veneers. Depending on your age I would make sure that you have all of your dental work done 1st (including any Ortho or Endo work you may need)

How do I keep Crest Whitestrips on my teeth?
I just recently bought these to whiten my teeth. So far I've only used one strip. After I put it on, it kept sliding off my teeth (partially) due to the wetness in my mouth. How do I prevent this so I can keep them on my teeth for 30 minutes? Also, is it safe to swallow? With gel in my mouth, won't a little bit get in parts of the mouth? Somebody help me here.

If they start to shift, just push them back into place. I use the Whitestrips once a year, and I've never had a problem with just pushing them back up. As for the swallowing bit, obviously you shouldn't swallow the whole thing. However, like toothpaste, if you swallow a tiny bit, it won't do any harm.

My teeth are really sensitive, and I've tried 3 different brands already, and they cause pretty severe tooth sensitivity. Any suggestions on stuff that actually works, but doesn't kill me in the process? lol

I would also alternate bleaching with Prevident fluoride gel (ideally placed in a bleachingtray) (can get a prescription from your dentist) to help with the sensitivity.
