Those ones you get at Target are only temporary and dont work lol so dont do those. Its an hour long procedure and its painful only because you are forced to keep your mouth wide open for an hour, your lips will be chapped after. They will help you select a shade to whiten your teeth, and put the bleach over each teeth several times while keeping the area nice and dry, they will go over it with a light to harden the material, your teeth will look absolutely great afterwards you cant drink anyhting that stains your teeth for a while (anything that stains your clothes stains your teeth) coffee, grapejuice, etc. Its a really great idea to do it if your willing to spend the cash. yep..in excess. it will make your gums sore and your teeth really sensitive. I've been using this toothpaste call "Pronamel", it's kinda expensive but it helps build your enamel back up. even my dentist says my teeth are stronger.

Is there any way of temporerally whitening my teeth while in braces?
I have had Braces for just over 3 years and had jaw surgery 6 months ago where i couldnt brush my teeth for 2 weeks ew gross i know. My teeth have become quite weak as a result and Very yellow, although i brush my teeth atleaat 5 times a day it makes no difference! Its not like their dirty there just very yellow. It really gets me down and affects my confidence as theres notihng i can do about it until the braces are off. Is their anything i do jsut for now while the braces are on? Can tooth whitening gel infect gums?
I got my braces off recently, *thank god* and i used this tooth whitening gel the orthodontist gave me. I brushed my teeth before and my gums got a little bloody. I decided to use teh stuff anyway and did. It burned my gums and when i took it out my gums are all red, swollen and sensitive... Could this be an infection? or is it just the tooth whitening agrivated my gums? I used Opalescence PF.

I used teeth whitener and now have REALLY sore lips?
I fancied a whiter smile, so I purchased a teeth whitening kit, which has a retainer type thing, accelerator and whitening gel. (this is a 7 day period) After a couple of uses, I noticed my lips had become slightly sore...as if you licked them too much But NOW, they are killing me! It's really noticeable, and it looks like it's about to scab over! Anything to help my lips?

i'm getting my teeth whitened in 2 weeks, should I still get my tongue pierced in 2 days or wait?
The thing is, I'm on my week-long spring break, and I'm going home for 2 days to see my parents and then going back to my apt, so it'd be the ideal time to get it pierced because I probably wouldn't see my parents again for at least 2 weeks and by then, my swelling would have gone down, not to mention the fact that I want to use the spring break as recovery time, I certainly don't want to go back to school with a huge tongue! I just don't to know if the chemicals they will be using to whiten my teeth will affect my new piercing. I'm starting to think I should just wait to pierce after the whitening, if the chemicals they use are strong enough to whiten teeth, it definitely can't be good for a new piercing, huh? I'm pretty certain I'm going to get this piercing, and I know of all the risks involved, so please don't waste your time scolding me or trying to tell me horror stories, I've heard them all. Thanks!

i would wait. after 2 weeks it will feel perfectly healed, but it's still a new hole in your mouth, and those chemicals are pretty harsh. if you do it now your risk messing up your piercing and then you will just have to take it out and start over... waste of money!

Hi. I have recently had my braces taken off, and i really want to make my teeth as white as possible. good news - I've been looking on youtube and apparantely bleaching your teeth with 5 minute plus white gel works! bad news - they only sell 5 minute plus white in the US... so I'd have to bid for it on ebay, which isnt what i had in mind. My mum just emailed me to say that whitening toothpaste is bad?
AND that you should only brush your teeth once a day with a soft brush. Her dentist told her that she brushed her teeth too much and used whitening toothpaste and that is why her teeth are yellow, because all the enamel came off them. How can this be true? It's always being drummed into our heads to brush our teeth twice a day and I usually brush my teeth after every time I eat, yes with whitening toothpaste. What is going on here?

well.my sis is a dentist.n from wats she told me is dat wen u brush ur teeth in da normal way as i think everyone does u wil only take away a layer from ur teeth,so to prevent dat u need to ask someone for example a dentist about da rite way to brush ur teeth.u shud knw dat there r only 3 ways dat u can brush ur teeth properly.wen u use of those ways u can brush ur teeth as many times as u wish.my sis taught me dos ways but da thing is i cant explain it,it shud be demonstrated infront of urself.hope it helped.
