I have sensitive teeth and they're yellow and I want to use whitening strips on them. I've heard that using whitening strips makes your teeth hurt and very sensitive. I've also heard that they're bad for your teeth. What are the most healthiest strips that will ONLY make my teeth white and nothing more? Also are there any toothpastes or mixes that work very well and that have great results?

The best thing that I found which works is to brush your teeth after every meal. I had to do this when I got my tongue pierced. After two weeks my teeth were incredibly white, but you have to maintain it. Nothing is going to work instantly unless you went to the dentist and got a whitening treatment there.

Can you mix Darvocet with other pain relievers? I had zoom whitening done and my teeth are killing me.?

You really should not mix pain relivers because it can cause kidney or liver damage. To tell you the truth Darvocets are really mild and in my experience they don't help much. Advil or execrin helps much much more. You will still need to wait about six hours before taking anything else so in the meanwhile try an ice-pack alternating it with a heating pad.

I've used an Oral B Precision electric toothbrush for a while now and it is satisfactory. I haven't tried other electric brushes so I can't give you a comparison. I also use dental floss because a toothbrush cannot always access the tiny gaps between your teeth. I don't believe in using tooth whiteners because teeth are not usually brilliantly white so I can't see why people cannot live with their natural colour. Just make sure that they are clean and healthy and not freakishly white.

i am 14 and my teeth are perfect EXCEPT! my 2 front teeth one of my tooth is crooked going inwards and it makes it look like a gap and i hate it What should i do? Make trays for your top and bottom teeth out of tin foil (it works better if you fold the foil so its multiple layers thick). Then mix baking soda and toothpaste together until they're the consistency of playdough. It shouldn't be sticky, but not too dry either. Fill your tin foil trays with the mixture and pop them into your mouth. Leave on for about 45 mins then remove the trays and rinse your mouth out very well with water. Do this about once a week and your smile will be white in no time :) I like taking before and after pictures to see how well it works each time, but you don't have to...

Will braces hurt and how can you whiten teeth?
I'm taking out 7 teeth soon so there are room for my braces. People told me that when the dentist puts on your braces, it doesn't hurt but does anything else hurt? I'm very scared since my friend said it will hurt like crazy when you get it tightened. Generally you will be sore for the first week when you get your braces, then like 3 or 4 days after you get them tightened each time. It's not so much pain as it is just soreness, and taking an Advil or Tylenol usually helps alot. I don't think you can get your teeth whitened with braces though. It's probably going to suck for a long time, but it IS WORTH IT!!!! just remember that

I have bonding on my front teeth. How can I get my teeth whitened if this bonding matches a darker shade ?
My teeth are are real but parts of them had to be expanded with this tooth colored cement that was matched to the current shade. What must be done now?

You would have to have your teeth whitened, then have the bonding removed and replaced with the color of the newly whitened teeth. One major downside to having fake pieces on teeth is that you can't really whiten without things looking kinda funky

Whitening Teeth?
I asked my dentist the other day how much he would charge to whiten my teeth. His reply was that he don't offer the service because he don't agree with it. He says the bleech damages your enamel. Also that he thought people look silly with fake looking pearly white teeth, saying it didn't look natural. I smoked cigs for years and quit within the past year. I wish to get my teeth looking white again. But I don't want to damage them either. What are you opinions about the over the counter whiteners?
