How can i whiten my teeth from products i can find in my home? I've heard about the baking soda & hydrogen peroxide, but does it really work? will it harm your mouth? thanks:)

Use only bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and mix it with your toothpaste. Do this for only 3 days and stop or you'll begin to damage your teeth. Don't drink or eat anything acidic for about 2 hours afterwards. You can repeat the procedure after a week and then give your teeth a break for a month.

Do teeth whitening strips go old?
I have like, these Crest White Strips that I found the the back of my bathroom closet, and I wanted to use them. I stopped myself when I saw that they went old in 2004. D: They were my mum's a few years back, and she said I could use them because there were still a bunch of strips in there. I understand that they may not be as 'strong' as they would have been back then, like they might not whiten as vividly or something like that, but would it actually be BAD for you if you used 6 year old whitening strips? you can use a whiening toothpaste only once a week(harmful to your enamel when u use it more) the whitestrips do work, but what works better is bleaching your teeth using trays. they tend to be a bit more expensive but are worth the cost. if you go to your dentist they can make you a custom tray that fits your mouth perfectly and can sell you the jelly that will bleach your teeth. you can also get laser treatment done which works great. but no matter what it might be expensive, but worth it. hope that helps

Can you get your teeth whitened with Brite Smile if you have a permanent retainer on bottom teeth?
After my braces came off, my orthodontist placed a permanent retainer in the back of my lower front teeth and was wondering if it's safe to have teeth bleached? I've heard it can be bad to do this and it could mess up the retainer?

i got a tooth whitening kit online http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Professional-Whitening-Optimized-Formula/dp/B000O3SHF8 ....it came with moldable trays that i dip into boiling water and then mold to my teeth....instead of using these trays can i use my plastic retainer to put the gel in?

Once searched, a list of dentists will come up and will tell you which ones are taking on NHS patients!! Call one of the dentists and arrange an appointment!!! It is probably best to go with an NHS dentist because to go private costs a lot more, and they don't do an any more effective job. No... on the White Out. However, if you want a cheap, but effective strategy... try rinsing with a combination of hydrogen peroxide and mouth wash every day. It really does work, but mix them just before using. I found out (the hard way) that trying to mix up a supply ahead of time degrades the mouth wash over time.

no system is safe..............you have perfectly nice teeth, and making them whiter than your natural shade will just look silly............americans seem obsessed with having teeth so white they glow in the dark...and of course the bleaching agent will damage your teeth...making them hypersensitive longterm, no one knows what the longterm effect the bleach does to enamel as there has been no study done but it cannot be good for your dental health
