Question about Rembrant whitening and teeth?
I recently have been only drinking a crystal light type drink (usually about 10 water bottles/day)...for about 2 months or so...I finally noticed my teeth were looking weird...and there's actually brownish/yellowish spots all over and inbetween the teeth! Gross!..I know I need to go to the dentist...but while I'm saving up the money (no insurance)...do you think the whitening systems they have out there could make my teeth look even worse...or is it quite effective...(I'd still go to the dentist asap!)

I got out of braces a few months ago, and my teeth look great! The only thing is I'd like them to be whiter, so I've been considering getting some whitening strips to use. Are there any side effects? What brand do you recommend? Is it appropriate for a 12-year-old to be using them, anyway?

Most likely these are areas of decalcification. Sometimes they are more apparent after whitening or if the teeth are dried off. They don't cause any problems but they will not go away by themselves. They would have to be ground out and replaced with bonded composite fillings. This is not usually done.

Someone told me today that they met a woman who had amazingly white teeth, and she told her that her secret was diluting bleach in water, and rinsing her mouth with it. Has anyone heard of anyone else doing that and it working?

Well, if they did do that, that probably went straight to the ER to get their stomach pumped or something. You never put bleach in your mouth...you can use hydrogen perioxide and swish it around in your mouth to help clean your gums, but it will not lighten or "bleach" your teeth. one of my front teeth is bonded because i cracked it, i want to whiten my teeth, will the whitener do anything to the bond, will it make it whiter, not have an effect, or what? thansk a lot

The bonding material will not whiten. Only the natural tooth structure will whiten; if you want to whiten, you should whiten first (have your dentist do it) and once your teeth are whitened the dentist can redo the bonding to match the lighter color.

I am having my teeth whitened next week. Is it a relatively pain free procedure? Just looking for some feed back on the procedure and the results.

I'm not sure how your doctor is going to lighten your teeth but don't worry about it. Usually a rubber guard is placed over your teeth to protect your gums. Then a gel is painted on the teeth and possibly a light or laser is used to activate the gel. If the laser is used you will have a short apt. if the light or no light is used then you will be sitting in the chair a while so you might think about bringing something to listen to.

Does Excel teeth whitening gum work?
OK so i bought this new gum called "WHITE" made by Excel brand... but i don't know if it really works so far i bought 4 packages .... can someone just tell me if it ever worked for them thanks!

2 be honest those gums that say they help ur teeth become white I think don't really work at all just try it but f it doesn't work buy a tooth paste that says whites teeth there r some out there that work but the cost a lot try the ones that say with baking soda a lot of people say that works hopes this helps u
