Zoom works great and gets good results. It's best to go to a trusted dentist because the lamp is intense and the whitening formula is strong. S/he should isolate the teeth from the lips and gums to avoid burns. A trusted dentist can also advise if you might not get the results you want because of stains due to antibiotics (tetracycline) used as a kid (your teeth will look really bad in this case), how your teeth will look if your teeth are affected by fluorosis (bright white spots), and should be able to tell you if your teeth are already white enough and won't benefit from the procedure. It's worth it, but are your teeth really stained? If your teeth are 5 - 8 shades darker than the whitest, you'll probably benefit. If your teeth are just a few shades off white, don't waste your money. Ask your dentist about what to expect. It can cause discomfort especially if they don't isolate properly like I said above. There may also be sensitivity due to the condition of your teeth - some dentists can provide you with a potassium nitrate gel (like Relief ACP) to help. The best thing you can do is to go to someone trusted, experienced, and recommended by other patients if you can.
