Once you've reached the brightest shade, usually in about two weeks you are finished. The up side to this is you get to keep your trays and the solution. So when ever you think your teeth are getting dull from coffee, tea and other staining foods, usually every 3-4 months, you can bleach for thirty minutes to an hour and be right back to bright. And anytime you need more solution your doctor can provide it. Most patients seem to perfer this way over most others and get the best results. And the solution isn't harmful to the teeth, it does not remove any enamel, only stain thats attached to the enamel. The down side to this is you don't get instant results. I have a question about teeth whitening.?
So I have been using Peroxide and Baking Soda to whiten my teeth and I use it daily, day and night. I have been seeing results and it has only been 4 days. I told my brother about it and he said that it can have some side effects, like my teeth getting very sensitive for a couple of weeks after im done using it. (I have stopped using it because i'm afraid this might be true) Plus he has already used Crest Whitening Strips and he said that they had the same effect. Can someone tell me... . Will my teeth get sensitive after the whitening process? . Is Peroxide mixed with Baking Soda safe? . Will my enamel start to fade if I keep using this mix?

Does This Look Like A Good Teeth Whitening Solution?
I am looking to whiten my teeth after quitting smoking for over 10 years. My teeth have a small tint of yellow and I think its disgusting now. Amazing how these things don't bother you when you are a dedicated smoker. Anyway I wanted to get peoples opinion on teeth whitening. I would definitely suggest it because I used it and it worked. At first I was reluctant to spend all that money but in the end, the results were worth but I would suggest that you go see the dentist because they may have a better solution that might not cost as much but I doubt it. Its awesome that you quit smoking though!!!

Ok another teeth whitening question... about keeping crest whitening strips on your teeth?
Ok so I finally bought some. And I used it for the first time today. But I had one problem. I couldn't keep the bottom strip on my teeth. They kept sliding up off my teeth. I couldn't talk or anything because that's when it happened the most. But even just sitting there not moving my lips they would start to slid up. Why is this? And how can I keep it from not doing that?? Hope someone can help!! Thanks!!!

Best Teeth whitening?
I have colgate toothpaste that's supposed to whiten teeth right now, doesn't work. I have braces. What toothpaste do you recommend? Strips when I get my braces off? (soon) Anything else? My teeth are really gross I want them white! Also I have sensitive gums and teeth.

as gross as it sounds...baking soda. put your tooth paste on your tooth brush, then dip it in baking soda, and it will stick to the toothpaste. brush your teeth and it will taste nasty..but the more you do it..you dont even realize it all that much then rinse your brush off...then brush your teeth again with normal toothpaste(no baking soda) to get the nasty after taste of baking soda out of your mouth.. good luck!

I have been using whitening strips on my teeth. Now they are spotty. Is this normal?
I've used the Rembrandt Whitening Strips twice now, and my teeth have white spots and are whiter at the bottom part of the tooth than at the top. I called Rembrandt and they said to keep using the strips to even out the issue. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal?

I would suggest using the strips as recommended or every other day and see how you react. Also, do not brush your teeth before you put them on and no dark foods or drinks for 1/2 hour after. Pollanight Teeth Whitening system - Help?
Has anyone used this before? I've applies this 4 times so far (need to apply for 10 years) and there's not much differance at all. My teeth are a bit sensitive but not unbearable. Can you get your teeth whitened with Brite Smile if you have a permanent retainer on bottom teeth?
After my braces came off, my orthodontist placed a permanent retainer in the back of my lower front teeth and was wondering if it's safe to have teeth bleached? I've heard it can be bad to do this and it could mess up the retainer?
