I just had my braces taken off two days ago and they gave me a whitening kit. I just put some on my teeth and when i took it off a bit of my gums were bleached. :/ now is this permeant or will it change back to the normal pink colour in a day or so?

You can't make them whiter than their natural color. Your best option would be veneers, but those are pretty expensive. *I'm in the USA, so I have no idea what it would cost in Ireland. But around here, they are anywhere from $1000.00 & up depending on how many teeth you have done.

alright....well I am freaking out about my teeth! cheap teeth whitening ! Some choices for cheap teeth whitening? any help? how?
Ugh, white teeth system. My teeth is kind of average white (not yellow but not celebrity white) but I would like it whiter. Any white teeth system ideas? I know the uses of bicarbonate soda, strawberries or some sort but I'm looking for something faster.

ok, so, to start, i SUCK at brushing my teeth. i do it frequently, but not nearly enough and my teeth are yellow. not a gross yellow, but most definitely not white. ive had braces for 2 years now. i get them off on november 17, and im scared! im worried my mom will have what they call "puzzle pieces", or whiter areas where the braces were and yellowish where i was supposed to brush. i know for a fact i need to whiten them. so, how do i do this? if i whiten them, will the yellowish turn lighter and the place where my braces were turn even brighter? do you suggest a brand to use that works? please and thank you to everyone who answers. i really appreciate it.

I am 18 years old, and i have slightly discolored teeth that are having a big effect on my confidence. so i want to get them whitened I really look after my teeth by brushing 2/ 3 times a day (with a electric tooth brush) floss and mouthwash but they are still discolored- (maybe it is to do with the diets i have been on over the years.) I have some plaque build up on some of my teeth, but I want to use a home whitening kit. I can't go to the dentist atm, so I'm saving for that, but have an event I would like whiter teeth for. Would this be ok? Or a bad idea?

Teeth Whitening w/o Pain?
I'd like to whiten my teeth but I've heard the Crest Whitestrips cause extreme tooth sensitivity like putting jumper cables on your teeth while hooked to a battery pain. I have fairly sensitive teeth to begin with, especially cold, not so much hot. I don't know what to use...there's the Whitestrips, the Rembrandt stuff, I think Listerine has some too. Also, what one's whiten best? Thanks for any help.

I didn't notice them making my teeth any more sensitive than they already were (mine are a little sensitive to cold, but not very). My teeth were white for like a year or so after having used them! It does take some discipline, though. My husband couldn't stand them; he said they gave him the heeby-jeevies. Plus it took too much time & effort to use them. Good luck!

And its always good for touch-ups if you notice your teeth are getting a little discolored. 4 years ago I fell and broke my 2 front teeth, so the dentist filled my teeth in w/ who knows what. 2 yrs ago i got braces and im getting them off in a month. my teeth are naturally a bit yellow, so if i decided to get my teeth whitened, would my "fake" ones get whitened too?

Any good dentist will know exactly what to do for you. They probably will whiten only your natural teeth so that they match your falsies. :-) If you try at home whiten, the strips shouldnt affect your fake teeth so you would get pretty even results.

Will a teeth whitening procedure last?
So I haven't had the best teeth. Infact, I'm a little embarrassed of them and wish I could improve their colour (they're slightly yellowish... and it turns out that's my "natural" colour and not some stains you can remove with teeth cleaning). My local dentist does teeth bleaching for around $375, but only said that it lasts 6 months to a year. Do these procedures typically last that long? What other alternatives do I have that actually work (like strips, do they make a difference)? I'm kind of desperate at this point, sigh, but don't know if I'm willing to pay so much for such a short-term thing =/ Any help will do.

it may damage teeth but there are no long term studies on these products because they have just come out. Teeth are NOT supposed to be white. Teeth are naturally off-white/ ivory colored. So just keep your teeth clean and dont use all of the whitening hype products.

what is the best way of whitening your teeth,i brush them twice a day,?
i would like my teeth to be abit whiter,i have even bought some whitening stuff from boots but it was expensive rubbish i have 2 crowns at the front of my mouth that make the ones at the side of my mouth look darker,so i look like i only brush my 2 front teeth
