Hi all, I bought today bicarbonate soda, how much bicarbonate soda should I add to a regular glass of water (15 cm high) does it mater, or is it used in another way to whiten teeth? I think you mix it (bicarbonate soda powder) with water and then hold the solution in your mouth, am i correct?

You can make a paste of baking soda & hydrogen peroxide and brush gently w/ it several times weekly. This will only remove surface stains. If your teeth are very discolored this will NOT do the trick. You may have to consider a tooth whitening procedure by your dentist.

Tooth whitening stick?
I was watching America's Next Top Model and they were using some type of tooth whitening stick. It wasn't on of those strips. You just colored it on your teeth like paint and it make them look instantly whiter. Does anyone know where they sell these or where I can order one? Please & thank you.

Will whitening your teeth at the dentist scrape off tooth enamel?
I'd like to maybe whiten my teeth but I'm worried that doing so will scrape off my already weak teeth? When they whiten them, do they simply bleach them or do they try to take off the stains? for some reason i don't like the thought of just bleaching my teeth instead of getting the actual stains off.

Only half my teeth bleached after whitening strips?
I used whitening strips, And the middle is bleached white. The top and bottom isn't. I used the strips correctly. But it seemed to have attached to the tartar areas on my teeth... I've got a date on saturday, And I need to get this white off soon. Any help at all...? Thanks everybody.

I think that Crest White Strips are pretty awesome. They make your teeth a little sensitive for a few days, but they really do the job. I'd try them before trying some of the other brands out there - they just haven't worked as well for me (or anyone else I've talked to).

I haven't tried that kind but Crest Whitestrips worked really well for me! I was able to see a difference after just a couple days. They're a little pricey, but it's worth it and there are a lot of strips in the box. Hope that helps!

Other times when I just want to use baking soda I put toothpaste on my brush first, then dip the toothbrush in the soda. By the way, hydrogen peroxide is really cheap and is usually used as an antiseptic. You can buy it at any store over toward pharmacy area.
