Gross!..I know I need to go to the dentist...but while I'm saving up the money (no insurance)...do you think the whitening systems they have out there could make my teeth look even worse...or is it quite effective...(I'd still go to the dentist asap!)

What is the BEST tooth whitening gel to use at home?
I already have custom trays fitted for my teeth, but I am in search of a really good high-end gel ( not junk like crest whitestrips) I want my teeth to be hollywood white...like so white they are blinding! :) Any suggestions? Thanks!

I did two rounds of whitening with them (10 days, waited 6 months, and then another ten days) and I am always getting comments and compliments about my teeth. Whitening strips for my teeth?
I got out of braces a few months ago, and my teeth look great! The only thing is I'd like them to be whiter, so I've been considering getting some whitening strips to use. Are there any side effects? What brand do you recommend? Is it appropriate for a 12-year-old to be using them, anyway?

whitening stripes are great, but as usual there are side affects it can make your teeth very sensitive, so dont use them longer than recommended and not for more than the recommended time. just follow the instructions on the box. i use whiting toothpaste and mouth wash, it doesnt make my teeth as sensitive as the strips. im a dental assistant and unfortunately there are no safe products for whitening, but you can talk to you dentist about bleaching trays.

From what I hear, it can be painful, but tolerated. It's not cheap and not lasting. It's harmful to the enamel of the teeth and I personally wouldn't recommend having it done. Just take care of your teeth and use a whitening tooth paste.

I heard from alot of other answered questions on this site that Crest Whitening Strips are the best teeth whiteners. If you have used these before, are they worth it? Do they dramatically whiten teeth? Please answer if you have experience with them. They cost almost 35 dollars at drugstore.com and at most walgreens... are they really worth the money? Baking soda and water make it a pasty substance! I took pics before and after and the result were amazing! Also stuff that can make yellow/gray teeth worse is soda/tea/red wines. The best things for your teeth after you use this mixture is water/sierra mist/milk/and juices..This mixture is'nt the Best taste ever but the results are great. I would do this twice a day then brush your teeth again with tooth paste to get the extras out...good luck!

i have crest white strips that id like to use. my front tooth, is half fake- half real. i used to have a bright "line" on my tooth, appearing it to be like a french manicure for that tooth. i got it shaven off and replaced with some sort of plaster stuff i guess at the dentist. if i use the whitening strips, will it whiten along with the rest of my teeth?

I used the two hour whitening rembrandent. it really worked. I used it the night before i was taking my senior portraits. The next morning i woke up they were extremely white. THe white lasted a long time.. i used crest whitening to keep the white up.
