What are the best toothpastes that actually whiten teeth?
My teeth are kind of stained. They're not dirty dirty, but like I said they're kind of stained, probably due to me drinking alot of dark drinks, such as soda and tea. I see the commercials for toothpastes that whiten, but what toothpaste actually does whiten your teeth?

I recommend Crest Vivid White. It has a 2 part deal - one removes stains when you brush and the other part of it resists stains by putting a protective barrier on your teeth (you can't feel it). I've used this one for a while now and am very happy with it. Also, try drinking your soda and tea through a straw. It helps the liquid not hit the front of your teeth. Drink anything colored through a straw if you can. It does help!

All you have to do is swish a cap-full of peroxide around your teeth and mouth for about a minute each night before brushing your teeth. Just make sure that you DO NOT swallow the peroxide! Peroxide is poisonous if swallowed, but it is completely safe to use as a rinse. It has no taste, but it will foam up in your mouth. It works great to whiten teeth and it only takes a couple days to see results. I brush my teeth after using it just to make sure I get all the peroxide out of my mouth before I go to bed. Today i put on opalescence teeth whitening and my gums are red, is this normal?
Today i went to the dentist to get my teeth whitened and i put the gel on my tray as directed and left it in for an hour as instructed by my dentist and now the part of my gums that are nearest to my teeth are really red. I called my dentist and she said if it continues for three days to go and see her. Does any on else get red gums from using teeth whiteners? Is it normal for some of your gums to get red ?

so i want to try whitening my teeth. usually i just brush my teeth for three minutes in the morning and then again for three minutes at night and floss. but since i want whiter teeth, should i brush my teeth five minutes morning and night, floss, and use whitening mouth wash? i dont want to use whitening strips because i know several people who have used them and they've told me that they work, but they make your teeth a little tender and sore, which i dont really want..... so just give me your opinion please :)

If you think they need to get whiter try the white strips or I've had patients with fair results using the Aquafresh trays. The toothpastes and rinses don't work. The foods you eat and the beverages that you drink will stain teeth over time. If the strips or trays don't work then see about whitening products at the dental office. They do work better.

Im 11 and my bottom teeth are white, my 2 front teeth and then all the right side is white. on the left side the first 2 back teeth, like the first 2 after the 2 front are yellow-ish and i am nott happy about that. especially cuz on my right side, i rlly dont like my teeth, i had braces but i dont any more and one day they chipped part of my tooth and they somehow didnt notice that they did that.. numb skull orthodontists lol. so anyway for like pictures i dont smile straight on like straigh facing the camera, i always put "good side of my mouth" to face the camera so i can smile without wanting to rip up the picture afterwards lol. ok, that wasnt very clear, i like my teeths' SHAPE on the left side, and i do NOT like my theeths' shape on the right side. thing is, its WHITE on the right side, and yellow-ish on the left side. so basically the teeth i dont like are white. the teeth i DO like are yellow-ish.. figures. i brush my teeth 2 times a day everyday, sometimes extra if i have like a pack of skittles or something lol, and no matter HOWW hard or how much i brush, i spend like 2 minutes brushing just that area trying to fix it every time and i of course do the same with the rest of my teeth lol. so its not brushing habits or anything causing it.. any type of whitening tooth paste that dosent taste horrible or mouth wash, or like some kind of "potion" ( by that i mean anything that i can whip up at home with like pretty usual house hold stuff that will help make my teeth whiter. ) I used to use this Arm and Hammer Extra Whitening Tooth Paste. it worked like a charm, but booyyy did it taste badd. lol Srry this is long!

Whitening teeth - bleached gums?
I just had my braces taken off two days ago and they gave me a whitening kit. I just put some on my teeth and when i took it off a bit of my gums were bleached. :/ now is this permeant or will it change back to the normal pink colour in a day or so?
