Can you get your teeth whitened right after you get you braces off?

Will i notice immediate change in whitening my teeth with aquafresh whitening trays?
So ive been whitening my teeth now for 2 days with whitening trays, and im worried that ive wasted my money on the product because there really isn't much change with my teeth...The package also says that you'll notice change within 3 days. But i dint see that happening soon. And also its suppose to be a good product if you have sensitive teeth but i used it and my gums started hurting alot and there was like a infection starting on my gum that turned white, and it hurts. What does this mean? And will my teeth get whiter? Thanks (:

If it hurts don't use it anymore. The white on your gums is actually a burn from the gel. I know this because I work in the Dental field and I see it all the time with those home kits. They don't offer the right protection for your gums and most of time the results are not that great.The percentage of peroxide is what whitens your teeth and no over the counter that is safe to use is as strong as what you get in the Dental office. I suggest you go to your Dentist to whiten your teeth. You can choose from a take home system with custom trays that protect your gums or the in office system. With the in office whitening you walk out with whiter teeth in about an hour. I've seen people go off the chart white! Its awesome. I've done it myself and definitely recommend it.

How to whiten teeth within 4 weeks?
I dont know why but my teeth are sort of yellow. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss once a day, and use mouth wash once a day. Sometimes i use this tooth whitener but it doesnt seem to help at all. What are some methods/products that will whiten my teeth in about a month/4 weeks? (Please dont recomend products over $15.00,i am on a budget)

the yellow usually doesn't have much to do with brushing them or not.. many of us get stained teeth due to many factors such as certain medicines when growing up, coffee, etc. i got about 2 shades lighter in like 2 weeks with a whitening pen + brushing with a whitening tooth paste and listerine "whitening" mouthwash. good luck!

My teeth hurts when I bite on a piece of aluminum foil! Why is this happening to me?
It started after I used this tooth whitening gel.

I understand the dentist takes a negative cast and then from this is able to produce a positive cast. But what happens next?

how do I let him know that his teeth need whitening?
I met this guy online and he is sweet, good looking and seems like a great guy. We met for lunch and I realized that his teeth are VERY yellow. This grosses me out. I am not sure if he doesn't brush regularly or what. I know that he is not a smoker so I don't understand what the deal is. Oral hygiene is very important to me. He asked me out for another date and I want to go but I can't imagine ever kissing him because I know that I can't deal with the teeth. Is there any way that I could tell him that he needs to whiten his teeth with out completely hurting his feelings?

Lately my boyfriend has been picking on me about my teeth (they aren't perfect alignment-wise, but they aren't scary so I assume he's picking on the color). Is there an inexpensive way I can whiten them?

Whitening Bonding (teeth) With Denture Cleaner?
I have porcelain bonding on six of my teeth that are over 15 years old and have allot of stains. I have not replaced them yet due to the fact that new ones will cost me thousands of dollars. I have been told there is no way to whiten them but today I was at Walgreen's and bought Stain Away Plus denture cleaner thinking I would mix it and use it like a mouthwash (they are crystals you mix with water)- it says it whitens in 5 minutes. My thinking was to hold it in my mouth and spit it out after 5 minutes and maybe it would whiten them since some dentures are made of porcelain. But I wanted to do some research first to make sure it's safe to use that way (in mouth)....... It doesn't list ingredients on the box and I have been unable to find them anywhere. It also doesn't have anything that says not to use in mouth, all it says is "In case of contact with eyes or mouth, flush with water", Can anyone tell me if it's safe to use that way or if it will even work? Thanks!!

That will not work. Porcelain is very color stable. The only way those cleaners work is by knocking off surface stain. They do NOT make porcelain whiter. As for if it is safe...not sure, but I sort of doubt it. Otherwise Listerine would do it. Thanks for the gut splitting laugh by the way!

it depends on the dentist, what type of whitening you do, and where you live. around me, a lot of dentists are offering free custom trays and bleach with a "new patient" appt. i got the custom trays/bleach from my dentist for about $50 (and then it is like $40 each time i need new bleach). in-office whitening averages $650. hope this helps! :]
