what these white white spots on my teeth?
i have yellowish teeth and i see white spots on my teeth. i do brush my teeth a lot and i gargle listerine mouthwash. what could those spots be my dentist sad it look like they will be cavities soon and another dentist sad they are tooth that are whitening up.

Do strawberries actually whiten teeth?
I've heard people say mashing up starwberries and brushing with them or simply rubbing them on your teeth will whiten them. But is that really true? I mean, wouldn't that stain them red?

Nope it wouldn't stain them, but it WILL wear away your enamel. (Which you can't 'grow' back) Don't brush with anything acidic , (lemon juice, strawberrys ect.) Try brushing with baking soda (it removes external stains)

It was SO much better than Whitestrips and I guess it is the same strength as the professional dentist whitening stuff. My teeth are looking better (well, at least whiter) than ever now!!

Can you rehape and whiten all of your teeth with dental bonding?
Instead of getting veneers, can you just get all of your teeth bonded and rehshaped and whitened? would it look good?

With bonding it is possible to reshape and brighten the color of your teeth. However, bonding does not last a lifetime and it is difficult to tell how long it will last, it depends on how your teeth come together and what your habits are. (Veneers don't last forever either) with veneers or bonding you are making a long term commitment. You should have your dentist take a look and see what they recommend, if you already have bonding on some of your teeth, they won't whiten w/ bleaching, so you would want to have those replaced anyways.

yes. i got custom bleaching trays (and bleach) from my dentist and it worked amazingly (and i don't smoke but i love coffee and iced tea lol)! i think it cost me like $50 for the trays and $40 for the syringes of the bleach. but, most dentists around me are offering free whitening when you have a "new appointment." even if you need a lot of work done, you don't have to get it done unless it is really going to effect your health. just tell your dentist you don't have a lot of money...they might be able to put you on a payment plan if you need a lot done. you could also try a dental school if you have one around you. they can pretty much do any procedure, for a lot less. or you could try crest whitestrips...those generally work for typical stains (like coffee, tea, berries, etc). hope this helps! :]

I'm glad you asked, my friend. Firstly, invest in some tooth polish and if you don't have it already, dental floss and mouthwash. After eating breakfast in the morning, clean your teeth with some normal toothpaste for around three minutes and immediately after, mouthwash once. After lunch, clean your teeth with the tooth polish for around two minutes. DO NOT mouthwash after doing this, the good effects will be neutralised. Around forty or fifty minutes afterwards it would be a good idea to eat a stick of celery or some cashew nuts. Before you go to bed, brush your teeth with your normal toothpaste for around three minutes again and mouthwash afterwards. Then, take out your floss and gently floss between each tooth. Your gums may bleed for the first couple of times, that is normal. After finishing flossing, mouthwash again to get rid of any bits of food that were released and kill any remaining bacteria. Diet wise, it is a good idea to take a tablet of high vitamin cod liver oil with breakfast. Don't chew on the tablets though, they taste disgusting, just swallow. http://www.breezecare.co.uk/ukcard/recgum.html : This is expensive, but well worth the money if you have it.

i would think that you'd have to break down the plaque first or the whitening methods would have to work through the plaque and I don't know if they can do that. but i used crest whitestrips and they were awesome--people noticed the difference.

unfortunately, anyhting you do to whiten your teeth will wear away your enamel. teeth are whitened by layers of enamel being taken off. Baking soda will probably do the least damage to your teeth opposed to Crest white strips or other drugstore kits.

First I would recommend that you consider having a dental cleaning and exam. If you have buildup (tartar, plaque, stain) the whitening process won't work that well. The crest whitestrips work well and are probably your lowest cost alternative. We sell them in my office ($75.00) and they are 3 times stronger than what are sold at drugstores and there are 3 weeks worth. I like them because they work better and if you are happy with how they look 1/2 way thru the process you just hold onto the rest and you have more to do a "touch up" 6 months later. Good luck! I prefer either Rembrandt white strips b/c they have a foam guard that is easy to wear or the new Crest white strips that grip better than the old ones. This is great for a slight change to get rid of years of coffee, tea, cola, wine, and tobacco. If you don't have a lot of these stainings you need professional whitening.
