I have braces and I need my teeth to be nice and healthy. I brush my teeth at least 2-3 times a day, and try to floss at night. I need more suggestions! Thanks!

be careful about whitening your teeth with braces. if you use something that really whitens your teeth to a noticeable extent, then you'll end up having discolored squares on your teeth where the braces were. I recommend doing what I did, and getting crest whitestrips after your braes are removed. In the mean time, it sounds like you're doing the perfect stuff to keep healthy white teeth.

If I use different kinds of teeth whiteners all at the same time will they whiten more?
Ok. My teeth are pretty yellow-ish. I've been using the whitening toothpaste for like 2 or 3 years...anyways I recently got a whitening gel and it worked a little...it whitened them 1 shade in 2 weeks. So, I'm thinking if I start using a whitening strip and another kind of whitener they'll get really really white. :D I'm aware that I'm gonna have really sensitive teeth.

Does brushing teeth with sea salt erode teeth enamel?
I read somewhere that brushing with sea salt whitens teeth. I tried it last night and woke up to noticeably whiter teeth - It Worked! But now I'm worried that maybe it's only cuz it peeled of a layer of my enamel. Can that be?

No it doesn,t hurt the enamel and is safe to use Fine grained table salt is not the best choice, because it is not coarse enough to remove stains well. You will need to purchase some sea salt for this task. Sea salt's grains are much larger and so work better as an abrasive. Do not mix the salt in water before brushing, as this will dissolve the grains and defeat the purpose. Salt can be used alone by rubbing it directly on to teeth. It might be easier to add it into a paste like the one mentioned above. For this to work properly, mix the baking soda and peroxide together first and once it forms a past, then add the sea salt, (remember that you don't want to dissolve the salt in liquid). You can even add salt to the strawberry paste for extra abrasiveness.

It has flouride in it and works really well as a supplement to speed up the results with the white strips.Hope this helps.

Well I want to start making my teeth whiter, but im wondering what would be better making a toothpaste from baken soda and hydrogen peroxide or just rising with hydrogen peroxide? Can I use whitening gel in my plastic retainers?
Probably a stupid question.. But anyway. Can I? I'm talking about the clear retainer you get when you get braces off.. whitening gel is a lot more potent than toothpaste, so don't do it! i have really bad fluoride mottling on my teeth (bright white spots) and asked about teeth whitening at the dentists and was told its not worth it - it just makes the white bits whiter. and i was told that the home kits just make your teeth really sensitive and don't actually work. in terms of stopping them getting worse, don't smoke, avoid tea and coffee, fruit juices (they are OK with a straw), and avoid acidic foods. good luck and i hopes this helps! xx

I fancied a whiter smile, so I purchased a teeth whitening kit, which has a retainer type thing, accelerator and whitening gel. (this is a 7 day period) After a couple of uses, I noticed my lips had become slightly sore...as if you licked them too much But NOW, they are killing me!
