Teeth whitening product. Anything similar to Simply White Gel?

I used to use Colgate's Simply White brush on gel but it has been discontinued and nothing else works. Not even plain peroxide. I've tried plenty of different toothpastes but even using them for 1 months straight I don't even notice a difference in the color. So what is a similar product, in cost and effectiveness to Simply White? (If you don't know how much that is...well it's around $7 a bottle, so I need something relatively inexpensive.)
--------------------
i like Listerine Whitening mouthwash ..u use it before u brush and its about $6 i use to use Simply WHite too and it worked great if you put it on and went in a tanning bed (sounds stupid but it did ) Another i like is Rembrandt Whiting kit they are a lil more pricey though but good luck

Help with teeth whitening?

My teeth have a tint of yellow in them, im 14 and too young for teeth whitening professionally. Does anyone know a really good whitening toothpaste that actually does work?
--------------------
Whitening toothpastes only work very little over time. Your best bet is to get the paint on gel. Tastes like blah, but works well and only in a matter of weeks, with toothpaste you have to work through multiple tubes of toothpaste before you notice any shade change and toothpaste will only remove one or two shades of color, rather than the gels and trays which will remove multiple layers of stain.

teeth whitening tips?

Are there any good teeth whitening tricks and tips that actually work and are there any reasonably priced products that work. Also can teeth whitening products like i see on tv shop such as whitelight damage my teeth.
--------------------
Hi Mike, Brushing your teeth with baking soda works. The "gritty" texture grinds down the plaque. However, people who have thin enamel report that their teeth become more sensitive after a while. Why? If you keep polishing your teeth, you have to expect a weaker teeth. The same is true with other techniques, such as drinking lemon water. I'm not even mentioning chemicals because you sound conscious about that. I'd say, if your teeth are pretty strong, try baking soda. Also get a tooth cleaning as you start your plan. And, if you're ready for a way alternative technique, consider "oil swishing", a technique whereby you swish coconut or sesame oil between your teeth every morning. (See link for reference.) does the 24 Carat Teeth Whitening System really work?

saw this product off ebay; here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130284211089&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 anyone ever tried it? does it really whiten the teeth or it just another gimmick? thanks
--------------------
I checked on the site and the formulation it's 22% Carbamide Peroxide. Most formulations used by dental clinics for take-home kit vary from 10% to 20%...this one is 22%, possibly with proper use this will whiten your teeth. Just one thing the zero sensitivity claim..not so sure. Teeth becomes very sensitive after whitening which is the usual reaction and there is a special mousse used along with whitening, its not in the kit. What's the best, cheapest teeth whitening product?

I don't know the difference between the trays and the sticky things. I don't know. ha. I need it to last pretty long too.
--------------------
i'm currently using the crest white strips - classic. theres also other categories including premium or advanced seal or pro-effects. i guess the cheapest would be the classic. crest gives you 28 packs of strips for a 14 day use, 2x a day. so you could say it lasts pretty long. if you want a better effect, buy a whitening tooth paste along with the crest white strips, such as crest vivid white, or pearl drops :)

How much is a teeth whitening in dentis? And how much is a braces?

I live in Portland, Oregon PLEASE HELP!!
--------------------
Well from my experiences when I used to have braces they can run around 500 to 5000+ dollars. Depending on how much work needs to be done to your teeth. I'm not sure about how much it'll cost for a dentist to white your teeth but you can go to a local market and get whitening stips.

Is white light (home teeth whitening product) dangerous or damaging to your teeth?

Will it eat the enamel, make teeth dull, cause gum cancer, or whatever else? Thanks in advance! M
--------------------
Hi, Lot of people do face problems with yellow teeth. The reason for yellow teeth can be less calcium, smoking or coffee. Some people face problems like yellow to faint yellow teeth also because of too much brushing or using products which harm teeth. While baking soda or peroxide can make your teeth white but it is not recommended. Dentists world over do not recommend use of such pure form substances on teeth as they harm your teeth in longer run. Not all whitening trays are good, in fact many people have complained about irritation and pain with trays. Yellow teeth are not always unhealthy while bright white teeth can be unhealthy. Lot of people want white teeth so that they can smile big and don't get embarrassed while talking to friends and colleagues. Such people can use teeth whitening pens which are 100% safe for your teeth. The best thing about these products is that you can easily get free trial to have white teeth. You may order your free trials and have white teeth. Its always better to try before you buy and I am sure it will work for everyone including you. BTW the website where you can get such free samples is http://tinyurl.com/freewhiteteeth I am not promoting the website nor am I associated with it in any manner. Just trying to help someone who is worried about bad/yellow teeth. Hope this helps. Thanx :-)

I'm about to touch up on teeth whitening has anyone tryed the crest 3d white strips?

5 months ago i used crest advanced seal whitestrips and it made quite a difference but i want to make them a bit whiter. next month i want to reapply... are the Crest 3D White Whitestrips Advanced Seal better than the normal advanced seal i used before?
--------------------
Hi I personally didn't use Crest, but I heard from my friends that they are actually give almost same result! So, if the price has a huge difference, then I believe you can use the regular advance strips! Just for your reference, I do use the whitening powder as it gives very good result as well! You can check out my link below for more options of your choices! Hope this helps!

Has anyone used the generic Crest teeth whitening strips?

I went to walmart to buy Crest teeth strips and noticed the generic kind next to them and they were $10.00 cheaper. Has anyone tried these? If so do they work just as good as the real thing? :)

I haven't but if I were you, I'd just get Crest...I mean, these are your teeth for Heaven's sake...Do you wanna use a generic brand that could maybe possibly ruin your teeth?

Rio Professional Teeth Whitening System?

Has anyone tried the Rio Professional Teeth Whitening System? I am referring to the System that you can use at home. I do not mean the cheaper £40 battery operated version. I am referring to the £100 mains operated version. It comes supplied with peroxide free gels and uses the advanced blue light technology. If anyone has used this at home system, can you please tell me what your results were. Replies only from people that have actually used the system please =D Thanks.
--------------------
She is asking for replies only from people that have actually used the system so that she can get a true and balanced judgement about the product. She hasn't stated in her question that she intends to use the system, she has just requested for those people who have used it's opinion. So why are people ignoring the question and stating their views on teeth whitening methods in general rather than on this product in particular. Desperate for 2 points I guess. 'Starry Eyed Maniac' the product is peroxide free! I guess you didn't read that bit of information in your rush to answer the question and get your 2 points? Granted I haven't used the product in question, but I do recognise, have experienced and know how hugely annoying it is when people who don't have neither direct or correct knowledge of the question you are asking, none the less still answer the question anyway. Therefore providing information that is neither relevant or useful to the questioner. She specifically asked for replies from people who have actually used the product. If you haven't used the product then don't answer. Audrey if no one on here provides you with the answer you require then I think your next best option is to look on Amazon. You can find peoples responses to what they think of the product after having purchased it. I usually use this method whenever I want to purchase something but am not sure of how good it is. Hope this helps =D

Does teeth whitening toothpaste work?

Does it actually make your teeth pearly white? If so, how long do you have to use it for?
--------------------
Teeth whitening toothpaste by itself does not really help with getting stained teeth white, but it will help maintain a whitening treatment longer. Don't count on toothpaste to do the trick though, because it won't. To get your teeth whiter, you can go to the dentist and have a professional whitening, or you can use a home care product such as Crest Whitestrips. Hope this helps.

What are some good teeth whitening products that i could buy in Boots?

that actually work...i can't afford to go to the dentist right now... thank you
--------------------
I've tried nearly all of them and there were only 2 that worked. For daily use Rembrandt toothpaste - apparently they have a patent on a certain ingredient which makes it work better than all the others. For weekly use - Colgate Professional Weekly Clean. The Rembrandt is quite expensive - around £7 a tube I think, the Colgate is about half that but a very small tube but you only use it once a week so it lasts a while. If you have bad plaque build up neither will get rid of it though but they do help to keep teeth clean and get rid of stains.

How much does teeth whitening normally cost in Toronto? ( Easy 10 Points ) PLEASE?

What is the cost rang or approximate cost ? And what are the renowned places to go to ? Recommendations? ** 10 points for best answer!
--------------------
I had three small fillings that required three needles and I was in the chair for two hours. The assistant cleaned and polished my teeth in 15 minutes and removed the nicotine stains that ten years of brushing could not remove The bill was $570.00 and the clean &polish whitening was $55.00. It may be more if you just go in and get the procedure done alone. I have been to many Doctors in my life and these two young ladies were very concerned about me being in pain and were soo careful that I barely felt the injections. This Dentist is excellent and is located on Bay just south College on the main floor of 736 Bay st Toronto on suite 5 Dr. Michelle Lui Asadi/Lewis and Associates Dentistry 416 599 9962

whats the safest way to get teeth whitening by a dentist?

some dentists use bleaching over a short period of time while others use laser whitening which consists of gel and UV light. Which is the best and safest method and what are the possible side effects?
--------------------
There are a number of factors that determine the success of any tooth whitening product, including the present state of your dental health. That's the most important reason to consult a dentist if you're planning on professional whitening. In general, patients having a darker set of teeth have shown better results than people with lighter teeth. Also, the degree of relapse of tooth whitening achieved will vary from patient to patient. Some patients are able to sustain their results for a longer time than others. As a matter of fact, even the different teeth in a patient's mouth show different results, despite using the same product. Hence, the results of professional tooth whitening products are very subjective. Besides these factors, the results also depend on the way your dentist uses the whitener. Certain professional tooth whitening products are to be used in a specific way. The results of the whitening system can be affected by the dentist's adherence to the protocol as prescribed by the manufacturer. Ideally, you should focus on finding the best dentist for tooth whitening rather than looking for the best professional tooth whitening system in the market. The results depend on how skilled your dentist is and how he or she uses the tooth whitening system. While choosing dentists you should keep the following things in mind: - The experience of the dentist in this field - Number of teeth whitening treatments performed - Number of teeth whitening methods available - Testimonials and results of previous patients Once you find the best dentist for tooth whitening, let the dentist decide the best tooth whitening system for you.

Teeth Whitening strips?

Today I bought a box of teeth whitening strips ( a $14 Market Basket brand) and have just tried it for the first time. I left it on for a little over 30 minutes and when I took it off, there were little areas of white in the middle of a couple of my front teeth. This is probably because my teeth aren't very straight... It looks pretty odd, so i'm wondering if after using it a couple more times it will even out. Or maybe it's just the brand I got? Help!
--------------------
I think theyll be fine but the strips didnt do anything for me either. Just brush as normal and maybe find a better product.

Home teeth whitening?

I've never had a cavity, I brush my teeth twice a day, but my teeth are still not as bright or white as I'd like them to be. I don't want to have to go out and get whitening strips or what have you, so are there any "home" tricks that people have tried and actually work? I've heard of stuff like strawberries and baking powder, but never found any real directions. Thanks! <3
--------------------
I've used baking soda and a drop (low percentage concentration) of hydrogen peroxide.
