I am interested in teeth whitening and wondering which one you think is better and why? also how much did you pay, did the results last?

I tried zoom awhile back and it was great, but expensive! The best teeth whitening solution I've found for the lowest price is Movie Star Look. You can try it for free from this link that I found: http://32whiteteeth.com/Free-Whitening-K The results with this do last. I was surprised how well it works. Best of luck to you!

What is the best drugstore teeth whitening system?
I have never tried to whiten my teeth before. They are not horribly stained, just a little yellow. I want something that is easy to use but effective. Any suggestions? I don't know if strips or tray or those rub on gels are best

teeth whitening systems ! How do people produce teeth whitening systems? any ideas? how?
For cheap teeth whitening, I've always had stained, less than perfect, off white teeth and I brush every morning and night! How do I get whiter teeth without having the entire mouth replaced with fakes? Any cheap teeth whitening product solutions?

An acquaintance told me to try out a teeth whitening kit because I asked so many 'my white teeth' questions. I was skeptical because whitening toothpaste, mouthwash, strips and hydrogen peroxide didn't work out the way I wanted. I got a free trial online and had it shipped to my house. Within a few days later, I could see noticeable results. I am getting so many compliments, a friend actually went out and paid $450 to whiten her teeth. Only if she knew what I did and how much I paid for it. Enough about my white teeth. Try out the baking and peroxide first and see how that works. If you end up in my situation, I suggestion the whitening kit. Good luck.

how many tooth whitening kits can you use on your teeth before causing damage?
I have a few of these tooth whitening kits, but none have managed to get my teeth the way I want them. But I'm worried that I have damaged my teeth by using several kits (albeit, not at the same time). Is there any risk in using several of these in the space of a few months, or am I worrying about nothing? Cheers

How much does professional teeth whitening cost?
I have looked on the internet and there are so many different ways to whiten teeth. I am not going down the route of damaging my teeth enamel by making up some baking soda or using abrasive tooth pastes which damage enamel. What I want to know is how long does it take for your dentist to whiten my teeth and does it only take one session or more to achieve the Colour I want? I will pick best answer please don't tell me to buy any tooth pastes or strips.

The best way is to visit a qualified dentist to bleach your teeth. Providing you don't have any fillings on your front teeth you should have no problem. There are 2 ways dentists will bleach teeth. 1) Power bleaching - normally done in surgery for about 1 hour, bleach is applied then activated by using a blue light. This is an instant result and because so is more likely to cause sensitivity to the teeth and also more likely to cost you more. 2) Overnight bleaching/home bleaching - your dentist will make you a set of trays which you wear at home for at least a couple of hours a day or overnight depending on the concentration of solution given. This will gradually lighten your teeth until you reach your desired shade however this is variable to each person and it does depend on what shade you are starting from initially. In our dental practise, we only do home bleaching as this is much more gentle on the teeth. We charge £400 for upper and lower trays and bleach initially. Please do not be tempted to go to a beauty salon! The do not have the dental knowledge to advise you correctly and it is really illegal for anyone other than a dental surgeon to do with the correct chemicals.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg

ZOOM whitening in office 350.00 takes about 1 1/2 hours start to finish -we do 4 txts in a row for maximum affect(you have to open the kit you might as well use it up) for 48 hours after you can't eat anything with color in it -It would do it at least 2 week before the wedding but you could do it a couple of months before- it does last.

How long do the results of professional teeth whitening last?
I just saw one answer to a question on this topic here and they said that the results of getting your teeth professionally whitened usually only last 1-2 years. Is that accurate info? Please share your knowledge on this topic or your personal experiences. Thanks!

How long you can maintain your whitened teeth will depend on several things. If your discoloration is from drinking a lot of of tea, coffee, wine or tobacco products and you don't change your habits, then the whitening effect won't last as long. It helps a lot to brush with baking soda and peroxide every day and floss your teeth everyday as well.

Can you use teeth whitening trays if your teeth are crooked? If not what could I use?
My teeth are crooked not badly more like the tooth after the fang tooth. On both sides that tooth grows higher on my gum and I know that the trays are formed to fit normal teeth. So if I can't use those what could I use. By the way my teeth are'nt yellow they just need a whiting boost, you know what I mean. But I want to whiten them, though.

Is it normal to have pain after teeth whitening/bleaching from dentist?
I just had my bottom teeth bleach or whitened, not sure what you call it. Its where you have to sit for an hour with this blue light pointed toward your teeth. My teeth/gums feel sore like having a tooth ache now. It comes and goes, it almost feels like cavities when cold water gets in and hits the nerves. Is this normal after this procedure?

Temperature sensitivity is the most common complication from teeth whitening procedures. This will usually subside in a week or two but there are some strong fluoride solutions the dentist can use to help stop the sensitivity. Good luck.

what teeth whitening product do you like?
I'm 15 years old and my teeth aren't exactly white, i'm thinking of buying some whitening strips product ( not the floss, or any of those other stuff) so which ones would you recommend? Also it has to be available in like a common store like walgreens, or something cuz i can't shop online

Personally, I think the Crest whitening strips and mouthwash work the best however, I would be very careful with using them because after awhile my teeth have become very sensitive because those products break down the enamel apparently. So just be cautious! Good luck!

What are the pros and cons of teeth whitening?

I have been using teeth whiteners for a couple of months now and I give my highest recommendation to Sparkle White. I have researched this subject multiple times throughout and here is what I can tell you: No matter how healthy your teeth may seem, discolored or stained teeth can make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. There are various causes of tooth discoloration; it can be caused by medication such as antibiotics or an excessive intake of fluoride. But the most common contributing factor to stained teeth is usually attributed to the daily onslaught of coffee, soft drinks, nicotine, alcohol and food. Over time, the surface enamel begins to crack and erode, causing stains and discoloration. The obvious solution to this problem is a teeth whitening treatment, and there are several brands available on the market, employing different techniques. It can be somewhat confusing when deciding which of these methods is best suited to your needs. How does Teeth Whitening work? The whitening process uses peroxide to bleach discoloration and stains. Enamel is the first layer of the tooth surface and is actually semi-translucent. The layer underneath the enamel is known as dentin. In order to whiten the dentin, a peroxide solution is placed on the enamel. The solution will then bleach the dentin, resulting in whiter teeth. When teeth are bleached, stained teeth will generally lighten four to five shades, depending upon how severely the teeth are stained or discolored. At-Home Teeth Whitening Techniques Cosmetic dentists offer several whitening procedures, which may be quite costly. For example, applying bleaching gel to the teeth in conjunction with laser treatment to accelerate the tooth whitening process. But most people opt for more economical and convenient "at-home" teeth whitening procedures. At-Home Teeth Whitening Systems There are several types of whitening products available for use at home, including teeth whitening pastes, bleaching solutions and "paint-on" whitening gels. Bleaching solutions in a mouthguard: These products contain carbamide peroxides, which bleach the tooth enamel. The bleaching agent is placed in a mouthguard (tray), usually form-fitted by your dentist, and can be used at home, usually overnight over a period of 1-2 weeks. Teeth whitening pastes: All toothpastes help remove surface stains to some degree by using abrasives. Unlike bleaches, these products do not alter the pigmentation of the teeth. A further drawback is that with excessive use, these abrasive whitening pastes may wear away the tooth enamel. Whitening strips: With this technique a plastic strip coated with a bleaching agent is placed on the surface of the teeth. The bleaching agent is adhesive and holds the strip in place. Paint-on whitening gel: As opposed to tray-based or whitening strip methodology, paint-on teeth whitening gel is painted directly onto the tooth surface with a special applicator. The instructions for paint-on products usually suggest that the surface of the teeth should be clean and dry. This improves the adherence of the bleaching gel to teeth for better results. Take note that it may take several treatments to achieve the desired effect as results will vary, depending on the severity of the stains or discoloration. When choosing a teeth whitening product, consider which whitening system is most compatible with your lifestyle and budget. Selecting the system you find the easiest to apply could very well be the best personal choice. When choosing your personal teeth whitening solution, consider one of these teeth whitening kits. This teeth whitening gel comes with a special applicator that is easy to apply and safe to use, and you will get amazing results within minutes.

Will using the Cleverwhite Teeth Whitening affect my tooth decay?
Recently, a filling fell out, that I was unaware of, and my tooth has started to decay. On the packet, it says I shouldn't use the whitening if I have decay, but it doesn't say not to. SO, if I do go ahead and use it, will it cause any more damage to my decay? Make it painful or anything?

All I can think of would be Listerine and Store Brand Whitening Mouthwash ... You can get them at any Dollar General Store in your area, its a few bucks cheaper and has identical foaming agents for whitening teeth. Also, go with any toothpaste with Whitening and Baking Soda unless your Dentist says otherwise. Dunno about braces and whitening so I can't answer that part. I don't want to ruin your braces from any bad advice I might give on that subject.

what foods can I safely eat the day after whitening my teeth?
My dentist said that I should avoid carbonated drinks, citrus drinks/fruit, coffee/tea/wine, and anything colorful for 48 hours after teeth whitening. I am a vegetarian and I want some ideas for food to eat besides mashed potatos and rice. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

what to avoid, any food especially liquids that has a strong color or dark color, like coffee, black tea, red wine, even soy sauce. so what to eat (vegetarian): oatmeal, soy products(bean burd, soya milk, tofu), light or white colored vegetables like turnips, raddish. however at moderate amount lettuce, cabbage are okay, avoid carrots. you could eat corn, vegetarian pizza, minimal amount of tomato sauce is ok, however right after eating you should brush your teeth properly=)
