How much does teeth whitening normally cost in Toronto? ( Easy 10 Points ) PLEASE?

What is the cost rang or approximate cost ? And what are the renowned places to go to ? Recommendations? ** 10 points for best answer!
--------------------
I had three small fillings that required three needles and I was in the chair for two hours. The assistant cleaned and polished my teeth in 15 minutes and removed the nicotine stains that ten years of brushing could not remove The bill was $570.00 and the clean &polish whitening was $55.00. It may be more if you just go in and get the procedure done alone. I have been to many Doctors in my life and these two young ladies were very concerned about me being in pain and were soo careful that I barely felt the injections. This Dentist is excellent and is located on Bay just south College on the main floor of 736 Bay st Toronto on suite 5 Dr. Michelle Lui Asadi/Lewis and Associates Dentistry 416 599 9962

whats the safest way to get teeth whitening by a dentist?

some dentists use bleaching over a short period of time while others use laser whitening which consists of gel and UV light. Which is the best and safest method and what are the possible side effects?
--------------------
There are a number of factors that determine the success of any tooth whitening product, including the present state of your dental health. That's the most important reason to consult a dentist if you're planning on professional whitening. In general, patients having a darker set of teeth have shown better results than people with lighter teeth. Also, the degree of relapse of tooth whitening achieved will vary from patient to patient. Some patients are able to sustain their results for a longer time than others. As a matter of fact, even the different teeth in a patient's mouth show different results, despite using the same product. Hence, the results of professional tooth whitening products are very subjective. Besides these factors, the results also depend on the way your dentist uses the whitener. Certain professional tooth whitening products are to be used in a specific way. The results of the whitening system can be affected by the dentist's adherence to the protocol as prescribed by the manufacturer. Ideally, you should focus on finding the best dentist for tooth whitening rather than looking for the best professional tooth whitening system in the market. The results depend on how skilled your dentist is and how he or she uses the tooth whitening system. While choosing dentists you should keep the following things in mind: - The experience of the dentist in this field - Number of teeth whitening treatments performed - Number of teeth whitening methods available - Testimonials and results of previous patients Once you find the best dentist for tooth whitening, let the dentist decide the best tooth whitening system for you.

Teeth Whitening strips?

Today I bought a box of teeth whitening strips ( a $14 Market Basket brand) and have just tried it for the first time. I left it on for a little over 30 minutes and when I took it off, there were little areas of white in the middle of a couple of my front teeth. This is probably because my teeth aren't very straight... It looks pretty odd, so i'm wondering if after using it a couple more times it will even out. Or maybe it's just the brand I got? Help!
--------------------
I think theyll be fine but the strips didnt do anything for me either. Just brush as normal and maybe find a better product.

Home teeth whitening?

I've never had a cavity, I brush my teeth twice a day, but my teeth are still not as bright or white as I'd like them to be. I don't want to have to go out and get whitening strips or what have you, so are there any "home" tricks that people have tried and actually work? I've heard of stuff like strawberries and baking powder, but never found any real directions. Thanks! <3

I've used baking soda and a drop (low percentage concentration) of hydrogen peroxide.

--------------------
if you want to keep teeth even whiter, have a talk with a dentist about the best teeth whitening kit. he may recommend some teeth whiteners that are safe and effective to use. you can also choose a teeth whitening that has quality ingredients that can be able to restore white teeth. chocolates, tea, coffee, red wine, sauces, colas and more are the common culprits that can stain teeth. it is best that your refrain from them. be sure make it a habit to brush and floss teeth every after meal to remove stains caused by foods and drinks. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on how to keep teeth whiter.

Teeth Whitening question with Peroxide?

Alright after reading all the posts about baking soda whitening teeth Im starting to try it, but I also heard that if you swish hydrogen peroxide before you brush that dramatically helps as well? Does this work or is it dangerous and shouldnt be tried? Normal CVS hydrogen peroxide is what I have
--------------------
You probalby shouldn't put undiluted peroxide in your mouth. At a concentration of 3%-what is normally available OTC- peroxide can be pretty caustic to the oral mucosa. I always advise my patients to cut the peroxide 50/50 with water. Tooth whitening gels contain carbamide peroxide which "sticks" to the teeth better. When it breaks down, it forms urea and H2O2. Interestingly, carbamide peroxide has been available as a treatment for mouth sores for years, packaged as Gly-Oxide.

Teeth whitening franchise....a good investment?

Hi, I am thinking of adding more strings to my bow....basically i need to make more money!!! LOL. I am thinking about investing in a teeth whitening franchise. The prices for the training, equipment and franchises really vary and it is a little confusing! Plus there seem to be lots of companies out there. I would appreciate any input from anyone who has done this. Who was it with? Hope much (roughly) do you earn? Was your training good? What was your initial investment? Etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Most web-based teeth whitening outfits are generally regarded as scams - both for those investing and for those using the end product

One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations. Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels. In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth. I'm considering having a teeth whitening process done, any advice B4 I take the plunge?

I know there are different brands and price ranges. who rates the highest in quality?
--------------------
Nothing in the stores is better than the solution that you can get from your dentist. Before you start to whiten you should start using some toothpaste for sensitive teeth for about 2 weeks and continue to use it while you are whitening. The solution makes your teeth sensitive so we always tell our patients to do that because it will help your teeth to not be as sensitive.

why did two of my teeth start to hurt really bad when i was whitening them??

it was like a really sharp bad unbearable pain and i almost started screaming. i have this gel stuff in this tube and it is called 5 minute whitening. i've used it before with no problem, but this time was different. i always put it on for about 20 minutes instead of just 5 because i want my teeth to be white for school tomorrow. i was just sitting there on my couch watching t.v. with the gel on a paper towel folded over my teeth and like, in a split second there was hecka pain. now, whenever i bite down, they hurt a little as if i was eating/drinking something really hot/cold. (i have sensitive teeth) . that's the perfect way to describe the pain.... it was as if i was biting full on to an ice cream bar for a second to long. have you ever felt that?? it sucks!! did i leave the whitener on way too long? thanks for any help... oh. also, so i don't use another 5 points on a question... does anybody know of a way to replace the screen on a samsung glyde? or have any suggestions on where to take it to get it fixed? thanks. =]
--------------------
Some whitening products use chemicals that can weaken the enamel on teeth, but you didn't say if the pain was concentrated in one area or everywhere. If it is concentrated then you might have hit a cavity, and if it was not, as in all of your teeth were hurt, then it may have been a sensitivity issue with your teeth. Remember the chemicals in the teeth whitening products are supposed to be strong enough to make something as hard as stone, whiten in 5 minutes. By using it for quadruple the recomended time you probably exposed yourself to a certain chemical for longer than intended. Either way I don't think it is something to see the dentist about, just use it as recomended from now on or, stop using it. If the pain still continues then go see the dentist. As for the glyde question I have no idea what that is.

Teeth whitening procedures?

My dentist says that teeth can be whiten by using either a home whitening kit or getting zoom laser whitening at the clinic. Would anyone of these cause damage to my real teeth or are they completely safe when administered by a good dentist?
--------------------
They work temporarily to whiten teeth. You will have to keep repeating the procedure to keep them white. The more you do it the more you will notice a bluish tinge to your teeth as the effect wears off. Finally you will feel you are worse off than when you started. Some peoples teeth remain bluish. Others have acute sensitivity as the enamel has been attacked by the whiteners. My daughter went through the whole of this and now regrets having ever started it.

What should I whiten my teeth with?

I would like to whiten my teeth with an at-home set that I can buy at the store (Target probably), such as the Crest Whitestrips and stuff like that. Have you ever used a teeth whitening product like that one or other ones? Which did you use? What was the procedure for teeth whitening like? Did you like it and would you recommend it? Thanks so much!
--------------------
Crest Whitestrips are great! I have been using them for a while and they always give me the results I'm looking for. They are so easy to use and work quickly, which is so nice when you need a little last second whitening!!

So how do I whitten my teeth without causing more damage? I am on dissability so there is no way I can afford to have the dentist do it.

Which teeth-whitening procedures are dangerous?

I thought I heard that some of them just strip a layer off your teeth, which is actually very bad for your teeth. Do you know more about this -- which procedures are safe, and which ones aren't? Is bleaching safe?
--------------------
Almost everyone aim to have a whiter and brighter teeth and teeth whitening strips are one of the options that is increasing its popularity in cosmetic dentistry. Teeth whitening strips are convenient compared with other teeth whitening treatments, it can be applied easily at your homes and it is relatively inexpensive compared to other treatments and it is available in any drugstore. Teeth whitening strips are made of flexible plastic and they stick into the teeth. They can be applied to the teeth that you want to whiten especially the front teeth and if you may also choose not to apply on the hard to reach molars. They are also made to be worn for several hours to let the carbamide peroxide- the whitening substance to take effect. They can be conveniently worn during usual activity like watching tv, exercise or even when you are sleeping. Its results varies with the application but they take much longer than bleaching kits. If applied patiently you can notice your teeth whitens and brightens over time. However there are teeth whitening strips that can't achieved your desired results or the same with professional treatments. Better alternative to teeth whitening are teeth whitening gels that are made from natural ingredients that can achieve professional results and won't irritate your gums. Teeth whitening strips is only one of the many options for teeth whitening and can deliver your desired results. But there are also some considerations to take before choosing it as your teeth whitening treatment for they do come with some minor issues. Some of the teeth whitening strips do not stick very well in the teeth, they can fall off any time. And if they fall off meaning you need to reapply it. When applying teeth whitening strips your teeth needs to be dry so that they will stick properly and won't slide off your teeth. Other than teeth whitening strips one of your alternative are the gels or toothpastes. There are teeth whitening products that can achieve your desired results and like the strips they are also inexpensive. Consider natural teeth whitening products for they do not contain harsh ingredients that may cause irritation or other for more information on teeth whitening strips you may visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com/art…

Teeth whitening products?

--------------------
I've also tried the Crest Advanced Seal strips & found out that they weren't that great. I found that the best & cheapest teeth whitener is hydrogen peroxide. Pour equal parts water & hydrogen peroxide into a little cup & swish for 30 seconds (Don't swallow it, you'll get sick!). Do this for a few days & your teeth will be whiter.

Natural Teeth Whitening that WORKS?

How can I whiten my teeth without using fluoride stuff like colgate, or whitening strips?? I know that just by brushing your teeth in the morning and not only at night helps (plus it's gross not to haha)
--------------------
The most common option used as homemade teeth whitening agent is baking soda, which has a mild bleaching action. Given that it is used in baking, it also implies safety. Baking soda is sprinkled on the toothbrush, and teeth then cleaned using a gentle, circular motion. Care should still be taken though, especially for people with gum sensitivity. Old wives' recipes often state that a paste of baking powder, a little salt, and a few drops of white vinegar, works effectively. Salt, used exactly as baking soda, is also touted as being a good teeth whitener. However, it might just be its osmosis, dehydrating action that makes teeth appear whiter, since dehydrated teeth look whiter. Lemon juice is often used, but it had high acidic levels, so teeth can weaken in the long run. Other natural, fruit options regard rubbing the inside of an orange peel on the teeth. A strawberry cut in half and the inside rubbed on teeth also works. Mashed strawberry can also be applied with a toothbrush. Apple cider vinegar is also said to be effective. Dried orange rind, and walnut bark, is also good. For other effective home teeth whitening solutions, you may wish to read about them here : http://teeth-whitening.my-fashion-house.…

Best teeth whitening products and preparations ....?

Hi The cost of professional teeth whitening is just outside my budget. Any suggestions as to home made or propriety products that are worth a try? Would like some suggestions please. Gemhak
--------------------
Baking soda has been the best teeth whitening product so far, and you can mix it with the salt to make a cheap teeth whitening product at home. In addition to using these products, it is also essential to take healthy diet, avoid snacking, drinking plenty of water and rinsing your mouth thoroughly after each meal. Natural teeth whitening products are cheap, and quite effective. You can get a winning smile without spending a fortune, or hurting the tissues in your mouth. Strawberries are also one of the best teeth whitening products, and they can be easily rubbed on the teeth or brushed on after being mashed up in a paste. Rinse after leaving for five minutes. Inside of orange peel is also one of the best teeth whitening natural product. You can either rub the inside of the peel on the teeth, or take the dried orange peel, and make paste along with ground bay leaves and brush it on. Another one of the best teeth whitening method is to avoid drinking the water with added fluoride or using the fluoride toothpaste, as this can discolor your teeth. Many countries have banned the use of fluoride in their drinking water due to symptoms and diseases associated with it.
