my teeth hurt soo bad from tooth whitening?
i recently bought an at home tooth whitening system with custom fit trays and 35% carbamide peroxide. i used it for two or three days(cant remember) and i haven't done it in three days,but for some reason the redness in my gums won't go down too much and my tooth sensitivity is getting worse! I have never had sensitive teeth,either. Now it even hurts from air! Why is it getting worse? Isn't it suppost to go away? Am i stuck with this forever now? I want my gums to be light pink again! Please help!

The trays basically burn through your enamel to get rid of the outer layer of the teeth for a whiter smile. I'd suggest laying off them completely until you feel better. My buddy whitened his teeth the same way, it took about a week before he wasn't bothered by heat and cold.

They are the 2nd cheapest and they work really good also. go to crest.com and go to the whitening section and you can check out the different types and compare it with the other ones. and wear darker colors to make your teeth look really bright and white! :)

Most likely these are areas of decalcification. Sometimes they are more apparent after whitening or if the teeth are dried off. They don't cause any problems but they will not go away by themselves. They would have to be ground out and replaced with bonded composite fillings. This is not usually done.

Well, if they did do that, that probably went straight to the ER to get their stomach pumped or something. You never put bleach in your mouth...you can use hydrogen perioxide and swish it around in your mouth to help clean your gums, but it will not lighten or "bleach" your teeth. I asked a friend (dentist) about my teeth whitening gels questions and she recommended ordering a teeth whitening kit online....it's the best thing I've ever used. It works great and really doesn't take that long to whiten. You can also go to your dentist and get the take home gel but the price for those ranges from $500-$2000. Try the whitening kit first to spend a little and see if that works. If you don't like it then visit your doctor for their home gel.
