Does anyone know a safe "at home" teeth whitening technique using household ingredients? Thanks :)
--------------------
How can I get whiter teeth for free? Don't bother with those gel packs that you have to leave on your teeth. Don't buy that expensive mouthwash for smokers! You have everything that you need to brighten and whiten your teeth right in your own home. Remember that this is free and it works. Do I have these items in my house? All you need to whiten your teeth are simple household products. Ok, first go to the kitchen. Open the cupboard where you keep your baking supplies. Do you have baking soda? You probably do. Spoon about two teaspoons of baking soda into a little bowl or cup. Now, travel over to the nearest bathroom. Open the medicine chest. Do you have hydrogen peroxide ? You probably have this common household item, too. How do I make this paste? Drop two or three teaspoons (this may not be exact) of the hydrogen peroxide into the baking soda, making a paste. This sometimes takes a little trial and error. Be sure it is the same consistency as toothpaste. If you wish, you can add a bit of mint flavoring or even a small dollop of toothpaste. How do I use this free whitener? Brush your teeth with your mixture, being sure to leave it on your teeth for at least two minutes. Do NOT swallow this paste! Trust me, you wouldn't want to swallow it- the taste is not the best. To make the paste taste better, try to use the above tips. This will help to make the taste a little bit tastier. What should I do after using this paste? After you finish brushing with this free paste, brush again with regular toothpaste to rid your mouth of the taste as well as the peroxide solution. You will be amazed at just how white and bright your teeth will be! Many smokers and heavy coffee drinkers use this little trick. This may be a home remedy that your grandmother even used. How often can I use this paste? · This treatment can be done weekly, monthly, or whenever you want extra bright teeth! · You shouldn't brush with this mixture more than once per week. List of Items Needed · 3 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide (the amount may vary depending on family size) · 2 teaspoons of baking soda (the amount may vary depending on family size) · Optional (A small amount of toothpaste or drop of mint flavor may also be added.) Hopefully, this article put a bright smile on your face!

Teeth Whitening: crest strips?
I heard from alot of other answered questions on this site that Crest Whitening Strips are the best teeth whiteners. If you have used these before, are they worth it? Do they dramatically whiten teeth? Please answer if you have experience with them. They cost almost 35 dollars at drugstore.com and at most walgreens... are they really worth the money? If they are, does anyone know where to find them for a bit cheaper?
--------------------
If u can wait for them to be shipped, try ebay. Whitestrips are awesome...they whiten ur teeth pretty quickly, but can cause sensitivity to hot and cold. Also check on their website, sometimes they have coupons u can print off.

Best HOME TEETH WHITENING kit?
Hey everyone :) Wondering if anyone has PERSONAL experience as to which is a good home teeth whitening kit? Thanks! x
--------------------
Baking soda and water make it a pasty substance! I took pics before and after and the result were amazing! Also stuff that can make yellow/gray teeth worse is soda/tea/red wines. The best things for your teeth after you use this mixture is water/sierra mist/milk/and juices..This mixture is'nt the Best taste ever but the results are great. I would do this twice a day then brush your teeth again with tooth paste to get the extras out...good luck!

Professional teeth whitening at the dentist: does it last/is it worth the money??
My teeth have gotten yellow over the years due to being a coffee drinker. I get those little cheap whitening kits from Rembrant and the white-strips, and they do a so-so job of removing the yellowness. It doesn't really get my teeth white; it just makes them look a little bit better. But after I do the two-week plan of white-strips and stop using them, my teeth get yellow again very quickly. This summer I am thinking of saving up and having my teeth professionally whitened at the dentist. I think it costs about $350. I was wondering if anyone has some input on whether it is worth the money. When you have it done professionally, does it last at least a year or so??? I don't want to spend that kind of money if my teeth are going to end up yellow again after a month or two. Thanks.
--------------------
the extra white you get with professional is very temporary. The Rembrandt kit has the same ingredient, just weaker solution. Try a second kit. Few people get white white teeth, but get improvement in their overall lightness

the local mall is offering teeth whitening for $99. what credentials do their "salespeople" need?
is it safe? the person who performs it... are they dentists?
--------------------
There is no requirement for any credentials for someone to offer and perform tooth whitening. It is an unregulated procedure. Your hair salon can offer it; I have seen it offered in the spas on cruise ships. This is a perfect case for "Buyer Beware."

teeth whitening how soon will i see results?
if i get them whitened my the dentist how soon will i see results
--------------------
Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 20 years. My patients see the results right after we are done. The Zoom works very quickly and most patients are thrilled with the results right away. You will get a kit to take home to use if you want to, but most of the time it is not necessary, just a touch up if yur teeth tend to stain faster than most people. It is more expensive, but the results are in the dental chair. You can also go to Wal-Marts and get a Crest kit for about $20. to try that first. Some people DO get the results that they want with that, without a lot of tooth sensitivity with the dental procedure. AND that is only temp. Good luck ~M

Stubborn yellow teeth! I need whitening help!?
After I got my braces of last year, I begun to stop taking care of my teeth, and they are now a shade of yellow. And I know it sounds absolutely disgusting, but it's true. And now since I am entirely devoted to fixing up my appearance, I am looking for a way to whiten my teeth by brushing or using a whitening kit. After I am somewhat satisfied with the look of my teeth I am considering going to get my teeth whitened by my dentist. Specific questions: What can I do to insure that I will at least have white teeth? Specific toothpaste brand? Whitening kits? Rituals you may have??

Teeth Whitening for my 13 year old niece with braces?
ok so i never had braces so i dont know how to approach this. my niece who is 13 years old is getting braces off in lik 5 months. they dont want their teeth to look all dirty and yellow and not white, especially when you have like perfectly straight teeth. so my niece wants to whiten her teeth a little. and since shes practically a kid/teen, i dont think stuff like whitening rinse, white strips or any of the adult methods would work/be safe. so other than brushing twice a day, rinse, brush her tongue, and floss, i dont know what else she should do, especailly since shes 13. and she has about 2/3-5 months until her braces are coming off. and she doesn't want spots where the brackets were on her teeth. SO PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ANSWER THIS, because i dont.. PLEASE ANSWER!! 5 STARS TO BEST ANSWER!! :D 10 points anyone?!

Usually when braces are taken off, the orthodontist removes the stains a bit themselves, after that, use a toothpaste such as Sensodyne Pronamel gentle whitening or Arm and Hammer gentle whitening. Your right to not want to use a strong whitener as these do damage especially young teeth, but a gentle one as above should be ok - the idea is to build up surface enamel rather than strip the teeth of enamel like most strong whitening products do.

is it ok to put whitening gel on my invisalign trays until my teeth get to my prefered whiteness?
i use invisalign for my retainers so i dont need to worry about my teeth being straigned first., i already had braces.. will the gel break the trays also, what can i do after i put the gel on to get it off. listerine?
--------------------
No Way! The invisalign is designed to hug your teeth. If you put bleaching gel in it, then the gel will more than likely surround your gums, and bleaching gel will irritate the HELL out of your gums! Don't Do It!!!!

Teeth whitening trays/strips (kind of a strange question)?
So I was just wondering, if I was to use tooth whitening trays or strips, will they even fit on my teeth, I only have 12 teeth on the top and 12 teeth on the bottom... lol I know most people have more than that, so I'm thinking the trays or strips might be kinda big since I have a small jaw and not many teeth (no gaps though, I had braces :D). Also, any way to prevent the sensitvity that I've heard often happens with these products? I kind of already have sensitive teeth (very minor problem usually though) but I really don't want it to get any worse. AND (sorry, more questions than I thought) since I wear retainers at night, I'd have to wear something during the day probably or some product that won't damage the retainers... Any advice?
--------------------
If you use the strips they're sort of like cling wrap and will fold around your teeth, so that won't be an issue. As for sensitivity, they probably will make your teeth more sensitive while you're using them, but just use them every other day or something if they're a problem.

Teeth Whitening Help?
I use opalescence tooth whitening gel, but that's not important, when you whiten over night, do your teeth hurt really badly?? Thanks!!

Got to your local drug store and buy "sensodyne" toothpaste (it's a brand name) and just smear it on your teeth leave it on for about 10min. Then use sensodyne during routine brushing. Make sure when you put the gel in your trays that you stay away from the gum line. Good luck!

Try using the Listerine Mouth Whitening Pre-Brush Mouth Wash. It works great! Although, if your teeth don't have very many surface stains then your teeth won't get much whiter ( and don't' worry every ones teeth have a natural tint to them, hardly anyone has snow white colored teeth). I'd recommend getting a teeth whitening treatment. They are expensive, but my sister got hers done and it made her teeth 3-4 shade lighter than her natural color. Good luck!

Teeth whitening advice?
I want to whiten my teeth but am not sure how it's done or who to choose. I would like a Hollywood bright white smile because my teeth are perfectly straight and I look after them. How much can I expect to pay for this sort of treatment? I am in West Midlands so any recommendations gratefully received.

aving white teeth can entirely change your life. having a nice and bright smile can bring many friends and you can become very open and confident socially, but consulting a dental expert is the best thing you can do to be able to start restoring white teeth. he might be able to suggest a good, effective and safe teeth whitening treatments that is suitable to for your teeth. next is be able to distinguish the foods that can stain your teeth and the beverages you take in that can promote tooth stain like colas, coffee, tea, chocolates and sauces. be able to refrain from taking them and if not, you can always do proper brushing and flossing to remove the stains on your teeth after a meal. for more tips visit about getting whiter teeth visit http://www.trustedhealthproducts.com

I would call around to some of the local dentists and see if they're offering "Free Whitening For Life." This promotion usually requires that you are a new patient and come in for an exam, x-rays and cleaning. Once complete, they will take impressions for a custom tray. You'll get enough bleach to get you white and you will recieve a touch-up tube at your 6 month visit.

Temporary Teeth Whitening?
Where can I find a sorta Temporart, affordable teeth whitening product? I need something you can apply almost like whiteout not those crest white strips. I have a shoot coming up and need something Quickly.

hated the strips. They cost to much and easily come off! You basically can't talk or anything with them on.... But... I LOVE Crest Night Effects...Crest Night Effects is a teeth whitener that works while you sleep, so it fits conveniently into your schedule. You'll have a whiter smile without giving up valuable time during your busy day. The competitive daytime paint-on teeth whitener is water-soluble so it may dissolve quickly. Normal daytime activities such as eating and drinking even your own saliva can wash most of the whitener away in as little as five minutes. So while you're waiting for the ordinary daytime whitener to dry, your already-too-busy schedule has just gotten crazier. Using Crest Night Effects is as easy as getting ready for bed and going to sleep. Just brush your teeth as you normally would. I saw a difference within days....Its a two week thing just like everything else but within 2 weeks your teeth are so white. People were always asking if I got them bleached...or saying that I had the whitest teeth they had seen. Here is some information about them from the site... Crest Night Effects is a teeth whitening system. You'll get a noticeably whiter smile while you sleep over 14 nights.* It even works on tough, everyday stains, including coffee and tobacco. Why is Crest Night Effects so effective at teeth whitening? The secret is our patented LiquidStrip Technology coating that stays on your teeth overnight. It whitens teeth at home, while you sleep. The Color of Your Teeth When you look at your teeth, the color you see is more than just the color of the surface. Because the top enamel layer is translucent, the color beneath is also visible. And since the things we eat and drink contain coloring agents that actually soak into our teeth, the layer beneath the surface of the enamel becomes stained, too. Juice, coffee, tar and tobacco for those who smoke, all contribute to making your teeth look yellow and dingy. Teeth Whitening Dilemmas Teeth whitening toothpastes and products only clean the surface of your teeth and don't have any way to actually whiten the stains below the surface of the enamel. Special whitening systems are available to penetrate the enamel including paint-on systems. Many of these are water-soluble, though, and mostly dissolve away in as little as five minutes when they come into contact with saliva. The Crest Night Effects Difference Crest Night Effects' unique gel forms a LiquidStrip coating. The water-resistant coating holds the teeth whitening agent in place, slowly releasing hydrogen peroxide while you sleep. The LiquidStrip coating works to remove stains and loosen stain-causing buildup. In the morning, just brush the LiquidStrip coating and the stains away. After just two nights of using Crest Night Effects, you'll notice a clean, smooth feeling on the surface of your teeth. How to Use Crest Night Effects For the best effect, apply Crest Night Effects immediately before going to sleep. Don't forget to review our important tips for maximum benefit. Do not apply multiple coats of the teeth whitening gel. Reapplication may remove the previous layer. As you brush it on, you may find that Crest Night Effects does not form a complete or even coating on your teeth. This will not affect the whitening result. You will know Crest Night Effects is working because you can feel the LiquidStrip coating on your teeth right after you apply until you brush it away in the morning. You can sip water while wearing Crest Night Effects. We recommend that you do not eat or smoke while Night Effects products are applied to your teeth. You may find that wiping your teeth with a tissue before brushing in the morning will help prevent the LiquidStrip coating from accumulating on your toothbrush. Most people find keeping their mouth open for about 30 seconds helps the LiquidStrip coating set.

Teeth whitening kits off ebay?
I am looking to brighten up my smile. I already have fairly white teeth. I planned on using crest strips but then I found several kits on ebay for cheaper that said they were dentist strength. We're talking like $15 is this possible? It seemed legit and I guess I'd only be losing out less than $20 but I would like to only have to do it once. I know the strips work but I don't think they work as well between the teeth. What do you think? Thanks!
--------------------
if you want to get the spaces in between your teeth just use the normal strips and use a toothpick and push the strip into the spaces of your teeth. i had that problem and i asked the dentist and he said to try that and it worked very well. you dont have to use the stronger ones that way and also i wouldnt buy it off of ebay.

about Teeth whitening?
i have yellowish teeth and they bother me. I never smoked and I dont drink coffee or tea. I do drink soda. I have never tried the over the counter products because i doubt they work. I hate to smile because of my teeth. Is professional teeth whitening the best? I have been doing some research and found these products.... EZ Bright.......Artic Whites.......Whitening Now......Easy White....and have heard about Zoom but I am not sure what it is. what I have noticed is that with the products listed about you get a free trail and only pay s&h and after x many days they charge you and enroll you in a subscription (that can be cancled at any time) for 30 day supplies. now why would they do that if there white already? u shouldnt need another treatment for another year. why would you consistently need to apply the kits above ever month. i dont want something that i have to use all the time.
