I don't want to go out an buy a kit or special tooth paste... So how can I get glistening whites at home? (Besides the obvious brushing&mouthwash)
--------------------
Put a heaping amount of table salt on your tooth brush and brush for 5 minutes, Rinse with lukewarm water, then put a regular amount of toothpaste on the brush and add salt directly on top of the paste, brush for 3 minutes, rinse, and you will have a great new smile!:)

white trays. There is no comparison. The dissolving strips DO NOT DISSOLVE!! and the 5 minute and other strips slip and make a huge mess. And because you have to constantly throw the ruined ones away, you waste most of them and spend twice as long.

which one is better for teeth whitening: crest whitestrips supreme or crest whitestrips advanced seal?
which is one is better than two. where should i buy it from? people say it is better to order it from online since it is from high quality. is it true. please answer mine. maybe i will answer yours?

Crest Whitestrips Supreme are definitely a better option. The Advanced Seal kits are purported to be the same as a whitening job in a dentist's office, but it isn't true. The Supreme or the Pro Effects are probably better ideas - they're more affordable and more effective (although really, even the classic whitestrips are pretty effective).

teeth whitening by dentist - I think few methods are available - which one is the safest?
Hi, by safest I mean no cancer risk as some laser methods as well as components/whitening material used is cancerous. (for example some material have/one reason is free radicals) THANKS.

After much deliberation and debate the process of teeth whitening has been deemed both safe and effective. In fact the Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide as bleaching whitener for your teeth whether teeth whitening at home or professional teeth whitening In-office. Teeth whitening not caused any cancer Studies have indicated that Carbamide Peroxide and Hydrogen Peroxide chemicals generated in the whitening process aren't carcinogens in the mouth, has not caused any cancer in gums or mouth tissue. The laser or bleaching lights were designed to a activator acts as a catalyst that speeds up the breakdown of the hydrogen peroxide into its reactive components. It can speed up the whitening process and enhance the whitening results. In fact, the lifht is not really "laser", so it is safe. The teeth whitening laser or bleaching lights are merely a marketing gimmick. It seems the only thing a light can accomplish is dehydration of the teeth, which can make teeth look whiter temporarily (usually a few hours). there are main Zoom! and BriteSmile, u can check my site to know, Compare for professional Zoom! and BriteSmile® teeth whitening In-office What works better? http://www.teethwhiteningbest.com/teeth-

where is the best place in london for a good but low cost teeth whitening place?
want my teeth bleached as i have given up smoking but i cant really afford alot i got a max of £250 but my teeth are really stained any suggestions?
--------------------
try getting a scale and polish first..........you are not going to find any dentist to do bleaching for less than £300.........and you can only get it done by a dentist according to General Dental Council regulations....so if you do go ahead with it do not go to a beauty salon, because they are breaking the law by offering this treatment.

How long does zoom teeth whitening really last?
Is it any better than the take home kits from the dentist?
--------------------
Mine lasted about six months.. But, I smoke and I drink coffee. As long as you're not doing anything to restain your teeth, I would imagine the results to last indefinately. Yes, Zoom will give you better results, because of the UV light process. You will get results in an hour, which would take weeks with the take home kits from the dentists.

What is a good otc product for Teeth Whitening?
I am looking for a good tooth whitener and don't want to spend a bundle at the dentist. Can anyone recommend a good over the counter product that actually works?
--------------------
All of the otc teeth whiteners hurt my teeth & make them ache...so I can't really recommend any of them. However, I can suggest a home remedy until u get your answer. Mix 1 tsp of baking soda with a little bit of hydrogen peroxide (make a thick paste) and brush it on with your toothbrush. Keep scrubbing for as long as u can stand it. It tastes NASTY and salty, but it's a great way to whiten your teeth naturally...and it's free if u have those ingredients around. Do that everyday for a week and u will notice a difference. Hope that helps some, even though I didn't technically answer your question, lol. Good luck :)

What is the best over the counter teeth whitening product?
What is the best one?
--------------------
Over-the-counter teeth whitening toothpastes are the most popular whitening products around, but the truth is "you get out of it, what you put into it." The success of any teeth whitening technology lies primarily in the amount of time the teeth are in contact with a bleaching agent - and the concentration of the bleaching agent being used. Since toothpastes contain a very low concentration of bleach and remain on the teeth for mere minutes - or even seconds - they deliver only a small degree of visible change under ideal circumstances. What's available in the market? Today, many oral care brands have their own versions of whitening toothpastes, such as: Crest Extra Whitening toothpaste, Rembrandt Whitening Toothpaste and Colgate Whitening Toothpaste. The companies that manufacture these whitening pastes do not make false claims, and consequently, promise only modest whitening results. How do whitening toothpastes work? Almost all the whitening toothpastes work on the same principle. They use hydrogen peroxide or other whitening agents in very small quantities to gently remove surface stains caused by tea, coffee, wine, etc. Results Some dentists believe that teeth whitening toothpastes are a complete waste of time and money and aren't any better at whitening teeth than ordinary toothpastes. Other dentists believe that whitening toothpastes can help improve the color of teeth, albeit to a very small degree. However, in some cases, people do experience considerable improvement in their tooth color, largely due to individual dental characteristics. Overall, however, the whitening results obtained from teeth whitening toothpastes are almost negligible. Do-It-Yourself Over the Counter Whitening If you're looking for more dramatic results than those delivered by teeth whitening toothpastes, then you're apt to consider Over-The-Counter Whitening, such as Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal. These products feature mouth trays, whitening strips or paint-on applications - and are widely available at grocery, drug and discount stores nationwide. How do they work? While more expensive than teeth whitening toothpastes, these inexpensive whitening options (compared to dentist-prescribed whitening solutions) typically involve the use of a low-concentration bleaching gel with detailed, daily use instructions that you follow at home. You'll wear the trays, strips or painted-on bleach for up to 60 minutes a day (in two or more individual applications) and for the suggested period of time - 1-2 weeks depending on the product. Results Most people with simple surface stains will experience a multi-shade change, primarily on their front teeth. While the technology of at-home, over-the-counter whitening is designed for ease-of-use; most people will find it very difficult to follow the directions exactly, particularly with regard to reaching and whitening the back teeth. Kiosk Whitening Kiosk whitening is a blend of do-it-yourself and "professional" whitening techniques that's currently under intense criticism from both many state dental boards and the American Dental Association. You'll find whitening kiosks in malls all over the country and they claim to offer "professional results" at a fraction of the cost of in-office bleaching techniques. How do they work? Kiosk whitening is "legal" because you do most of the work yourself. You'll first be given the materials to make an impression of your own teeth. When the trays are ready, you'll then fill them with a peroxide bleaching gel (less concentrated than the strengths prescribed by dentists). You'll then insert the trays into your mouth, followed by application of the accelerator lights by the whitening assistant. Results Most kiosk whitening franchises will not make a claim about how much whiter their procedure will make your teeth. Some, however, say that their procedure will work on up to 93% of people. Again, the procedure works best on the best whitening candidates. Concerns Because whitening kiosks aren't staffed by people who've undergone any accredited dental training, there is no real screening involved to eliminate unlikely whitening candidates. So while someone with severe stains may not experience any whitening - someone with cavities, cracked teeth or serious dental disease may actually experience pain, or worse. Professional Take Home Trays Take-Home Tray Whitening is tooth whitening in a kit that can be used at home, usually under the supervision of a dentist. How long does zoom teeth whitening last?
On average how much does it cost and did you like the results?
--------------------
It cost me $495 b/c the dentist had a coupon for $100 off. I loved the results but in my experience I got burned (which isnt supposed to happen). I had it done yesterday morning and today I'm still sore. My teeth were a little sensitive but nothing major. My lips and gums were what bothered me.I really think it was b/c the lady who did it at the dentist office didnt put enough gel on my lips and gums to protect it. There are three 15 minute sessions and the first one was ok, just a little warm. The second session I started feeling like my mouth was getting burned and she applied gel to the roof of my mouth that was starting to swell a little. The 3rd time around I wanted to claw that lamp off of me! but it was well worth it and my teeth are amazingly white, but not un-natural. My gums burned just a little bit but they felt better in an hour. Its just today I woke up and my upper lip was swollen. Basically my tongue and lip felt like I burned it on HOT coffee or something. That shouldnt happen I think it was just my experience with the lady who did it. they cover your mouth inside with gauze and gel to protect anything pink from burning and I sat still the entire time. Either way, I'm very happy with my results and they say it lasts a long time if you brush 3 times a day and stay away from foods/drinks that can stain your teeth the first 48 hours. Whitening strips or toothpastes can't compare to this. They say whitening strips and pastes only take care of whitening the outer layer of your teeth just like you wash dirt off your car. Zoom whitens your teeth from the inside out and give you long lasting and natural results. Just make sure the person who does it knows how to do it and tell them you heard of someone getting burned (me) and that you dont want that to happen to you! owie..... good luck and let me know how ur experience goes!

I like the trays better because they whiten more teeth and stay in better. If you get the strays don't push your teeth together or the gel will ooze out. I just put my tongue between my teeth and press gently to keep them in place and distribute the gel. Hope this helps! :)

What's the difference between bleach and laser on teeth whitening?
I'm just wondering which does the best job. Cost doesn't matter, I need to know which is faster also. thanks

Recents studies show that: 1. "In-surgery bleaching that require only one visit are to be viewed with scepticism. Patients who had only one session had a higher relapse that those that had 2-3 sessions. Approximately half of the patients with 2-3 in-surgery sessions requested additional home bleaching to improve the result." 2. "It is possible that dehydration of the teeth could be a contributor to the whitening seen in one-visit procedures." In other words, one-visit treatment looks better initially because it dries out the teeth temporarily, but that the teeth rehydrate and change back much of the change. So, go for the home bleaching - it will take longer, but give better results.

What would happen if you use Bleach Soft scrub for teeth whitening?
I was thinking last night and i wondered what would happened if i bleached my teeth with the soft scrub
--------------------
It would wear off your enamel. It is HORRIBLE for your teeth. You might as well rub meth all over your mouth. Plus, soft scrub is poison. Your teeth would never be the same after that. "Bleaching" your teeth is not really using bleach at all. It is hydrogen peroxide or a chemical that separates into hydrogen peroxide. PLEASE PLEASE promise me you won't use soft scrub!!! Buy Crest White Strips if you really need something to whiten up your teeth. Get a dental cleaning too. That will remove stain as well.
