What is an inexpensive over the counter tooth whitening product?
Also, I chipped my front tooth when I was 12 and I got bonding put on it...can I still whiten my teeth?

The cheapest tooth whitener is peroxide and baking soda. Mix a little baking soda and peroxide in a cup and and make a paste. Dip your toothbrush in it. Brush away. I always do this right before I go to the dentist, and they always comment on how clean my teeth are.

Home-made teeth whitening remedies?!?!?
Ok so I'm only 13 and my teeth are really crooked. We can't really afford braces right now. But, my teeth aren't as white as I wish they were. Whitening strips wouldn't work for me because of my crooked teeth. My parents don't want to spend money on something I don't "need" such as teeth whitening stuff. So do you know any things I could just make from scratch that I could use that would whiten my teeth? Please help

Hi, I'm a dentist. Actually, the only whitening that any tooth paste will accomplish is the removal of surface stains in the enamel. If your goal is to remove deep stains, I'd recommend using some over the counter whitening strips or professional whitening trays/gel, or if you're in a big hurry and money is no problem, just do the zoom whitening. They all work, but the gel in the strips/trays will take weeks to accomplish what the in office whitening (zoom and it's competitors) does in two hours. Good luck.

Tips for teeth whitening?
I've just had braces removed and i've noticed that my teeth are quite a yellowish shade. I'm becoming really self conscious about this and would like my teeth whitened professionally but the prices are far too high for my budget. I've heard about using bicarbonate of soda and hydrogen peroxide but i've also heard a lot of warnings about this and i doubt i'd manage to get hold of any hydrogen peroxide anyway. Does anyone have any good tips of how to make teeth appear whiter? Thanks :)

The crest whitestips and others brands do work but they can make your teeth VERY sensitive to cold and sweet. Try them out, see how it effects you. But if it bothers you too much, and it is that important to you, I think you should save up and have it done professionally.

The best results I got at home (I work in a dental office) were from a system I worked out myself. I ordered some free trials for at home teeth whitening kits and then I bought a whitening toothpaste to maintain the results. I didn't find the pastes alone gave any results but were great for maintaining the results I got from the kits.
