I had heard that it works really good and fast but I haven't tried. I want to know if it does really work and if it can hurt my teeth gum or any other part of my mouth or body. How should I use it? What are the best teeth whitening products?
I had braces for 4 years, then I got a free whitening when they came off...but of course the dentist ****** it up. I have been using the CVS whitening strips, and prebrush wash with whitening as well as I believe it's Crest or something with Scope plus whitening. It's been over 2 weeks and I'm not seeing a difference. (I also have not been drinking coffee or having anything with redsauce and I don't like soda.)

Also do not eat anything for 1 hour after. *ADD* Do not use baking soda every other day, it will severely weaken your enamel and you will get very sensitive teeth, more yellowing and a higher chance of abrasion.

Are all teeth whitening methods bad?
I've heard that the whitening strips you buy in the store make your teeth sensitive to hot/ cold food and liquids. And the bleaching kits from the dentist also make your enamel wear down? I really don't want to get dentures anytime soon (I'm only 13 and getting my braces off in January or February 2010). I think it's the peroxide in the teeth whitening stuff that is bad for you and you definately don't want to swallow it accidentally. At your age you don't need teeth whitening yet but if you are concerned about it then stick with the whitening toothpastes on the market. They are much safer and you won't damage the enamel on your teeth

A local mall has a new "booth" set up for teeth whitening close by to the entrance. It's called A Touch of White. It's only $100 to get your teeth whitened. The less days you need, the higher the concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide, and the greater the risk for sensitivity. If time isn't a problem for you, and you can wait the entire two weeks, I would say to choose the classic Crest White Strips. It will be lighter on your wallet as well as a decreased risk for sensitivity. In the meantime, if you DO have sensitivity, there are some things you can do to ease it. An anti sensitivity toothpaste can work wonders. Sensodyne would be the best, but the secret it you need to use it for a few days before you feel the effects of it. I would suggest starting to use the Sensodyne paste twice a day for a week before you begin your white strip regimine. Continue the regimine for the two weeks you use the strips, as well as the week following. Also, using a fluoride rinse such as ACT will help to reduce sensitivity. I would suggest Rinsing with ACT after removing the strips. I would avoid Crest Pro-Health rinse, as this contains a different type of fluoride (Stannous Fluroide) which is notorious for causing stain. This would be counteractive to your whitening efforts! Good luck, and congrats on having your braces removed!

A question for those who have had Zoom teeth whitening?
My husband got me Zoom teeth whitening for Valentines Day. He had his done Wednesday and his teeth were so sore and painful and the inside of his lips were burned. Does this usually happen.
