Will whitening toothpaste take care of coffee stain on teeth?
I drink coffee in the morning but brush my teeth with whitening toothpaste so my teeth wont look like I do. A friend said it wouldn't help, but I think it would. What do you say?

Sometimes these products help. Let me tell you what does help and I am speaking from experience, I know this and have used it all the time. They are a little expensive $30 to $40 in your average grocery store. But if you go to Wal-Mart I bet they are $20. Sam's Wholesale (Wal-mart sister) has them two packages for $40 and that is where I get mine and I have tried everything. I had my teeth bleached about 10 years ago and they looked and still do look GREAT and very white. After bleaching them at the dentist and I went in for a followup about 3 or 4 years ago I quized my doctor that bleached them about up-keep on them. At this point they still looked great and white but I was worried about tea and coffee stains after the fact. The doctor told me to try Crest Whitestrips. At this point I had already tried all the other crap and was not happy. I wanted only to keep them white after I have them bleached. Let me say this, after I did it the first time I knew I had found my solution. One box of these can last you for a year. Remember Sams sells two boxs of them for around $40. So find a friend that will go in with you and take the other box or keep them both for yourself. I love these things and no I DO NOT work for Crest. The box says to keep them on for only thirty minuets and I suggest you go by that because you will see the difference in your teeth the first night. Brush your teeth then apply the strips and brush them after the strips have been on for 30 minutes. I am not sure what the directions on the box say but I suggest you do it a few nights in a row until you get your teeth where you want them and then only do it once every other week or once a month for upkeep. Trust me on this one.

My teeth are major white and ive never had a darn thing done to them. OH HEY... if you havent had a cleaning you need to get that done by a dentist and then do the above. Best to wait until your braces come off. When they do come off: US Consumer Reports Magazine recently did a study of whitening strips. They found that the best whitening system was Rembrandt brand strips. They were preferred over the Crest Whitestrips because they didn't slide around as much and left less goop on participants' teeth after removal. They whitened at least as well as the Crest product. I hope Rembrandt is available in Australia. If not, maybe you can look into getting it on eBay. Good luck!

My advise would be to have it done if you can afford it then every 9 months or so buy a home whitening kit to get them back cleaner again!

It has a lot of the tools you would need to get through and it would definitely have the tools to perform teeth whitening on images. I need someone to explain the whole process of at home teeth whitening. I use opalescence and the trays. What do I do after I'm done whitening after I've taken the trays out? baking soda is not bad for whitening your teeth havent you heard of that one baking soda toothpaste i tried it and my teeth feel and look amazing if you dont want to but that toothpaste you can just use regular baking soda you just have to wet your toothbrush with cold water and then dip your toothbrush into the baking soda and start brushing thats it quite simple actually remember to rinse your mouth with water when finished brushing

baking soda is not bad for whitening your teeth havent you heard of that one baking soda toothpaste i tried it and my teeth feel and look amazing if you dont want to but that toothpaste you can just use regular baking soda you just have to wet your toothbrush with cold water and then dip your toothbrush into the baking soda and start brushing thats it quite simple actually remember to rinse your mouth with water when finished brushing

Is teeth whitening bad for teeth?
I heard that the use of the strong peroxide from the dentist is not good for your teeth, even though they will look good after the whiteneing process. Any knowledge about this? I think it has weakened mine. It's as s if they are more see through or glassy.

It is true. It corrodes your teeth over time if you keep continuing to whiten them either by a dentist or those whitening strips. A dentist friend recommended that I just use baking soda rather than any products. Dentists don't tell you this because whitening brings in a lot of business.
