Do all celebrities have their teeth whitened?
Or do they really brush them? I'm asking because I've noticed that celebrities have gleaming white teeth and I wanted to know out of curiosity if they do use teeth whitening or a dental veneer. I can imagine a celebrity with yellow teeth and when they are starring in a film they edit the teeth to make it white or if they use teeth whitening to make it white. Overall question: Do all celebrities have their teeth whitened or does their stunning white teeth come from brushing it? Just wanted to know. Thanks.
--------------------
Yes a lot of them if not all of them get their teeth bleached at a dentist office. Their teeth be so blindingly white. A persons teeth doesnt be that white just from brushing them alone. A lot of celebrities also uses veeners over their natural teeth as well. The veneers tend to be so perfect and straight and even....Veneers are bigger than the persons natural teeth. Some celebs arent born with perfect teeth at all. They get veneers put on them.

Crest teeth whitening strips?
hi are these teeth whitening strips good !! and how much of a difference did u see
--------------------
They do work really well. I would use the 7 day premium ones so it won't take so long. It gets aggravating doing them for 14 days. Depending on how white your teeth are now, it probably won't make them super bright white, but it will bring them up 2-3 shades. I do a box twice a year to get them nice and white, then use Arm & Hammer Whitening toothpaste in between. My teeth stay white all year round.

Teeth whitening products?
I used to have from the dentist whitening trays. It helped somewhat, but my teeth were really dingy from having braces for 3 years .. So I still have somewhat yellow teeth. And the trays made my teeth sensitive to anything.. What can I use that will whiten my teeth and good for sensitivity?
--------------------
1. First of all, Check to make sure you are not overloading the application of bleach. 2. Breaking up the amount of time whitening is done into smaller, longer spaced segments, will alleviate the sensitivity problem. 3. Brush your teeth with Sensodyne toothpaste and use a soft-bristle toothbrush. The sensodyne toothpaste has a high concentration of fluoride and the fluoride will stop the senstivity. 4. Try taking ibuprofen for acute sensitivity. 5. The dentist or the pharmacist can be asked to prescribe a product containing high fluoride to restore the mineral content of the teeth. 6. If the above methods can not prevent your sensitive teeth, stop the whitening for a few days to allow the teeth to get adjusted to the teeth whitening treatment. the site give me a lot of help, u can visit it 6 Ways to eliminate sensitive during teeth whitening at home http://www.teethwhiteningbest.com/teeth-

Have you ever tried whitening your teeth? How ? What did it cost? were you happy with the results? any comment
or suggestions - Im a 24year old smoker and want to whiten my teeth

carbamide peroxide is the main ingredient and it is different that plain peroxide. the strength varies among different whiteners. Before whitening your teeth, you should find out if your teeth have thin enamel. This can cause your teeth to have a yellowish or brownish apperance. Whitening will not help in this situation and can make appearance worse and cause sensitivity. Chewing on crunchy foods like carrots, apples and celery, is said to cause friction which helps get debris off your teeth that can stain them. There are many old natural remedies and some new natural and/or herbal products, as well as, some chemical products, all claiming to whiten teeth. The color of teeth comes from genetics originally, and it varies person to person. Teeth will natually discolor over time due to age. The best way to keep teeth as white and you were designed to have, is to avoid foods, liquids, drugs, and products that stain teeth. Avoid things known to stain teeth, like coffee, tea, red wine, berries, tobacco products, food colorings, etc.... Avoid direct exposure to a lot of raw lemons or citrus products like tomatos, limes, oranges, as the citric acid wears the enamel off the teeth, and when dentin is exposed (like with cavities), it can cause discoloration. If you do eat them, rinse your teeth right away. Avoid carbonated drinks that contain phosphoric acid, like coca cola for the same reason. Sports drinks often contain citric acid, phosphoric acid and organic acid (coffee contains organic acids, also). The latter two are known to break down calcium, along with breaking down enamel. Also, If you eat raw papaya or raw pineapple, rinse your mouth after eating them, as they have enzymes that can cause sores in your mouth and gums, because they break down proteins. The antibiotic tetracycline is known to cause teeth to stain and so is fluoride and caffeine. Mercury fillings cause teeth to stain where the tooth comes in contact with the filling; This is because of galvanization. So, one should get all amalgams replaced. Gold seems to be ok as long as it is a good quality gold such as high noble, and white composites or porcelain fillings can be used. Hydrogen peroxide can whiten teeth, but it can penetrate teeth, which are porous, and cause sensitivity. It is used in dental bleaching. It is a special 35% solution, so buying the 2% bottle of it over the counter in hopes to make your teeth white, will not work and could eventually cause sensitivity, irritation, or inflamation of the gums. Myself, I do not recommend teeth whiteners of any kind, for the same reason. If you do decide to use a teeth whitener, either over the counter or from the dentist, if you are not avoiding foods that cause staining, your teeth will stain again, and you will have wasted your money. To whiten your teeth often, will most likely cause sensitivity, enamel breakdown, and can lead to cavities. The long term effects of teeth bleaching on nerves and blood vessels inside the teeth are unknown. Laser bleaching seems to cause more problems with sensitivity than non-laser bleaching. Bleaching does not work on false teeth, crowns, veneers or fillings (even white ones). You may opt to replace those with lighter shades if you don't like the color. Bleaching is not recommended for children whose teeth are still developing or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is important to brush after meals to avoid plaque and tartar build up, which can also cause discoloration. Avoid toothpastes that contain abrasives to fight plaque and tarter, as they can wear away enamel and make the dentin show through (which has a yellowish or brownish tint), which can cause staining, or cavities or cause your teeth to appear brown or yellow. Also, avoid brushing too hard for the same reason. If you do consume products that cause staining, use water to rinse your mouth directly afterward. There is a technique called internal bleaching. The only way it can be done is to have a root canal, and root canals cause devastating health effects and should be avoided altogether. The British Dental Association has expressed concern that the smokers' whitening toothpastes Clinomyn and Pearl Drops are too abrasive. Many whitening toothpastes contain titanium dioxide, a suspected carcinogen and can be absorbed by the skin, and, when the effluent containing it is discharged from manufacturers, it acidifies rivers and seas. Smokers toothpaste, Topol, containing an abrasive form of silica to remove heavy stains from tar and resin deposits can cause damage to cementum and dentin in people with gingival recession, resulting root exposure. Tooth whitening actually requires modifying the intrinsic tooth color, chemically alterating the chromophores within the tooth. Whitening toothpastes using bicarbonate, alumina and polyphosphates cannot whiten teeth; All they can do is contribute to stain removal. Whitening requires bleaching or enzymatic disruption. Acid penetration and dissolution has not been an acceptable method of whitening for nearly a century. Many products claim whitening ability with various peroxides -- hydrogen, calcium or carbamide. For over-the-counter peroxide content is kept low. It has effervescence and maybe some short-lived bleaching because peroxide is rapidly broken down by oral enzymes from bacteria and saliva. Gels stay on longer, but must be used with a tray to work. Only whitening products used by dentists have ADA acceptance. Over-the-counter product manufacturers have never attempted such claims. A product called NatureWhite contains carbamide peroxide is supposed to whiten your teeth dramatically with just one 45 Minute application. It is said to be the same thing that dentists use and that dentists use a 12% solution while NatureWhite uses a 22% solution. Crest white strips, by comparison, have a 3% solution. Before whitening your teeth, you should find out if your teeth have thin enamel. This can cause your teeth to have a yellowish or brownish apperance. Whitening will not help in this situation and can make appearance worse and cause sensitivity. There are herbs that have been used throughout history to whiten teeth. Sage boiled in water to make tea was said to strengthen gums and whiten teeth. During the middle ages, powdered mint leaves were used to whiten teeth. Charcoal was touted as the best powder to use for whitening teeth, removing tartar and preventing decay. Other common ingredients in tooth powders included: cream of tartar, camphor, white castile soap powder, cuttle fish bone, precipitated chalk, powdered borax, powdered gum myrrh, powdered orris root, and talc. The majority of these ingredients cleaned and whitened teeth. Here are some other natural remedies : Take a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tsp of salt. Make a paste. Apply this on the yellowish tint. Use the inner white part of an orange peel to rub teeth for a lovely white shine. Take half teaspoon of bi-carbonate of soda mixed with a little water to form a paste. Rub this on your teeth. Dried & powdered Bay leaves combined with dried orange peel is an excellent whitener. Strawberries, oddly enough are said to have cleansing and bleaching properties that can help remove of tea and coffee stains, especially from dentures. Crush the strawberries gently and rub the pulp onto your teeth. Rinse with water. There are some new tooth pastes and products with Bromaine Complex, a combination of the natural enzymes, Bromelaine from pineapple, and Papain from papaya, said to be clinically proven to whiten teeth. Dentizyme is an herbal remedy; it consists of a unique blend of bio-active plant enzymes, organic botanicals, rainforest botanicals, and essential oils. Dentizyme users report fewer or no gum disease symptoms, they also report that their gums look pinker and healthier along with excellent teeth whitening results and teeth stains are said to disappear entirely with continued use of this herbal extract. ______________ here is some info on zoom: http://www.rebeccablood.net/archive/2007 Price is $500 to $675 How does Zoom teeth whitening work? This method consists of a mixture of gel and special light wave treatments. The patient is seated and the dentist uses a retractor to separate the lips from the teeth so that the gel can be applied. A special gel is then applied on all the exterior faces of the teeth. The dentist is careful, at this point, not to let the gel touch the patient's gums too much, as it may cause irritation or lesions. How long does it last and what effects can I expect? The answers to the questions are different from one person to another. In most cases, a Zoom teeth whitening procedure is done twice a year. An average person who drinks coffee frequently and smokes daily will have improved tooth brightness - around 10 shades brighter. After the procedure is completed, the teeth will gradually start to regain their yellowish color over time, depending on how well you take care of them. On average, people who went through in office tooth whitening procedures noticed that their teeth stay white for months, although the initial brightness does not last more than a few weeks. ----------------------- for toothpaste, i recommend neydent or apagard and for a toothbrush, i recommend an ionic (not sonic) brush. Teeth whitening help needed?
So I am looking to get my teeth whitened and was wondering if I could get some ideas of what to do. I have heard mixed reviews about Zoom so I'm a little iffy on that but if anyone has any experience with teeth whitening, Zoom included, please share your knowledge about effectiveness, time spent and prices if possible. Also I live in Southern California so please no teeth whitening services that aren't available near me.

Yes, I'd also recommend using Crest Whitestrips. I tried the free sample of Crest Whitestrips and I can tell you I noticed a difference after 3 or 4 days, but my family noticed a difference within 2 days. I didn't think my teeth were that yellow to begin with :P I have heard of people having sensitive teeth after but I did have that problem. I'd recommend trying them out first in case you are one of those unlucky people who has a sensitivity problem. Just go to the Crest website and look for promotion and it'll lead you through a series of steps or just go to the direct link http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/cre Good luck :)

teeth whitening at tanning shop?
hi guys, I wanted to know if anyone has had their teeth whitened at the tanning shop company. The method they use is smile spa. Their doing a deal right now in their w2 branch where it's £99 Wanted to know if the results were good before i go ahead with the booking? Thanks!

see if they have licensed dentist there that will evaluate you before whitening. If you have decay and you whiten, it's going to hurt! Also if you have gum disease, you may be doing more harm than good. If you have front white fillings, they are not going to change color and you may end up having white teeth with darker fillings showing through to your smile and need to get that all replaced. Also no matter what, if you are teeth have not been professionally cleaned by a hygienist, you are not going to have as good as a result. No amount of whitening gel is going to lighten plaque and tartar buildup! --dentist

teeth whitening and hair dye when pregnant?
i just found out im pregnant and have an teeth whitening appointment that i made before i found out im not sure if it is ok to get my teeth whitened when pregnant or to get my hair colored??
--------------------
Teeth whitening is fine. But if you have a doubt, the best thing is to ask your doctor or the dentist. They would know best. But I don't think you should get your hair coloured. I don't have an explanation, but the thought of a pregnant woman getting her hair coloured (which by the way causes allergy like said by the above answerer, and also harms your scalp because of loads of chemicals) might be relevant to pregnancy, but then again, I'm not 100% sure. Ask a doctor, he's usually more reliable... hope i hlped.

Question about teeth whitening?
Im getting my braces off in 3 weeks and i want to whiten my teech once i get them off. What are some good teeth whitening products that work fast and are easy to use. Cheers

Teeth whitening is commonly accomplished by applying a bleaching agent to the teeth. The longer the bleaching agent is applied the better it works. Or at least this is how every teeth whitening system is marketed. The problem is that you really need to use a system that mimics what you would get at a Dentists office but in a more affordable at home do it yourself kit. You see whitening toothpastes only contain minimal whitening agents and so for the few minutes alone in brushing your teeth it would take an extremely long time to produce any noticeable change. Whitening "strips" while more effective then toothpaste again only contain mild oxidization activators within the "strip" so here again the results tend to take longer and not as long lasting. You really need to find a system that is similar to the ones that dentists use, but in a more affordable solution. These tend to work much more effectively and doesn't cost you hundreds of dollars like a trip to the dentist would. While there are many great brands out there that follow this "dentists system" but the home teeth whitening system I like is

Teeth whitening tips, anyone?
I've had my braces off for about a month, and they were...not the prettiest color. I've always had calcium deficiencies in my family...but I didn't think they'd affect me that much. I floss and all, and brush my teeth a maximum of 5 times a day, minimum of 3. I use a 'whitening paste,' my orthodontist gave to me, but it's doing nothing. I'm not too eager to go and have my teeth bleached, so I was wondering if someone here had any tips? Thanks!

I have the same issue that you do with teeth whitening and everything that I used doesn't seem to work either. I've tried the Crest Whitestrips Premium, and they worked temporarily, but after I stopped using them, my teeth started to stain again. I gave in to a free-trial that my Mom recommended me to and it really worked. This product got rid of the stains for me instead of just covering them up like the Crest Whitestrips did. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Here's the link she gave me: http://www.teethwhiten.com/splash.php?ai I hope this helps! :)

Products for teeth whitening?
so i just recently realized that my teeth aren't as white as they used to be. i want to get the whiteness back but i don't want to buy whitestrips because they got so expensive. i heard the arm and hammer whitening booster works but i'm not sure if i buy it. have you ever used it? what other products can i use besides whitening strips that will get my teeth more white? like toothpastes, mouthwashes, etc.
--------------------
I use Colgate Total Toothpaste Advanced Whitening Paste and trust me it works! Here is a link to what I am talking about: http://www.amazon.com/Colgate-Total-Toot And just make sure to brush, floss, and mouthwash twice a day and before you know it your teeth will sparkle :)

Best teeth whitening for $25 or under?
Okay so I'm 13 years old and I drink alot of coffee so my teeth aren't very white. I also have enamelhypoplasia which means my enamel is thin and my teeth are sensitive. I need a good teeth whitening system that is $25 or under and won't hurt my teeth very badly. I don't mind abit of pain but I don't want it to be REALLY painful. So, best teeth whitening system?

Maximum Teeth Whitening is fast acting and side-effect free. I find it convenient to use. It only takes you to add another $4.97 since it costs $29.97. But I swear, it really worth it!

there is something for whitening teeth that they are advertising for less then $10.00?
there is something for whitening teeth that they are advertising for less then $10.00, and they are saying it is probably already in your home. Any idea what it is? It keeps popping up in the advertisements here on the internet. I am so curious to know what it is. If you know, let me know. I don't think it is baking soda, but it could be. The over the counter ones make my teeth too sensitive. Thanks for your help
--------------------
Bking soda is probably what they are talking about. I'd recommend a good toothpaste with baking sod (Arm & Hammer makes a great whitenig toothpaste. Here is the key - use Hydrogine Peroxide. That's what's in over the counter stuff. Rinse a few times a day, soak your toothbrush and brush with it - that's what it takes. Good luck!

How do I whiten my teeth naturally?
I'm in a wedding in August and I really want white teeth for the pictures but I don't want to have any medical procedures done. Any i've tried the teeth whitening strips but they don't seem to work very well. Any ideas?

Eat strawberries!strawberries can whiten teeth. What you have to do is cut off the top part of the strawberry, and rub the pink and white on your teeth for about a minute. After you have done that, you brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste. It would whiten a little bit faster if you have baking soda in your toothpaste.

Expiration Date for Teeth Whitening Products
A while ago I got teeth whitening gel from my dentist and didn't finish it all up. I was wondering if anyone knew if that sort of thing expired. And perhaps more importantly, if it ages in the 'now it's just not as powerful' way or the 'now you'll get sick if you use it' way. Thanks in advance!
--------------------
The best place to store it is in your refrigerator. As long it is in a cool dark place it is probably active for about 6 mos from that expiration date. If you have not.....it won't hurt you, most of the active ingredient (hydrogen peroxide derivitive) has probably dissapated and become inactive. It won't hurt you, it just won't help.

Teeth whitening with lemon juice?
Hi,I've been looking for some "home remedy's" for teeth whitening. I've found a lot with lemon juice. My Question is....does lemon juice really work? Please let me know, thanks.
--------------------
No, No, No. Don't use lemon juice. It got strong acids and can damage your teeth by eating away at the protective outer covering.
