what is the best way to whiten my teeth?

My teeth aren't very white at all. I need a good way to whiten them. I need a product that will actually whiten my teeth. Also, what do crest white strips do? Do you just put them over your teeth so your teeth seem whiter but your teeth don't actually get whiter? How much does laser whitening cost and is it painful? Is there any other products that are really good? Sorry for so many questions.
--------------------
There are too many teeth whitening products in the market and they have different qualities and mode of action but it depends on the condition of your teeth to decide that which product is suitable for you. Hope from the following information you would have more knowledge about teeth whitening and about teeth whitening products:- http://teethwhitening.987j.com/

Can I get my teeth whitened right after I get my braces removed?

ive had braces for 3 years. and im getting them off in april!! CANT WAIT but my teeth are going to be a little yellow, so after i get my braces off, can i, that same day, go to a office and have my teeth whitened?? or not?
--------------------
I have seen patients do it all the time. Although everyone is different, you can judge how sensitive your teeth are. Also, depends on what type of bleaching you will be doing. You have take home, zoom, deep bleach all with varying levels of intensity and results. Definitely consult with your general dentist to see what they think

whitening teeth at home...?

so i heard that baking soda was really good at whitening teeth but is it true? if so, what else goes with it...like how much of baking soda to salt would i need/be safe for my teeth? also ive been hearing stuff about hydrogen peroxide...where would i find this in the supermarkets?
--------------------
Do not use baking soda or peroxide. Use crest vivid white toothpaste. Also can try crest whitening strips. I have been using the vivid white toothpaste for 7 to 8 years it works great! If you still have questions or concerns on what to do, consult with your dentist. Also there are mouthwashes that help to whiten teeth.

does blue cross blue shield cover teeth whitening?

i'm just curious whether i should make an appointment with my dentist to whiten my teeth, or just use the stuff they sell in stores. i just dont really like it cause it takes so long for it to work. id rather just sit in a chair for an hour and get it done right away. i dont wanna call blue cross because i think that they like make certain notes of it and wont cover it on purpose because i called and asked, and its a voluntary procedure, not like my teeth are hurting or anything.. if anyone could please let me know, i would greately appreciate it. thanks in advance!
--------------------
They do not cover the Zoom or BriteSmile whitening. I doubt they cover the dentist custom whitening kit either. Some insurances offer discount percentages for some cosmetic procedures and I think mine offers 20% off whitening. Best thing to do is remain anonymous when calling Blue Cross and ask. If they say no when you call asking for info they they would say no if you tried to file a claim. Either way the dentist will probably call your insurance company to see if you have any cosmetic coverage before doing it anyway. You will have to just call and find out! Especially since there are different plans within the same insurance company - you need to find out what yours covers!

teeth whitening with braces?

i have braces and have used a whitening mouth wash. i heard when you get them off that you can get darkened squares where the brace used to be. i know that the mouthwash whiteners evenutally wear off, but will i still get these marks? is there a way to get rid of them ?
--------------------
Upon getting your braces off, your orthodontist will remove all the glue and bonding and clean up your teeth. It is expected that you see your dentist for a cleaning soon thereafter. In many cases since wearing the braces for several years, you will lose shades of whiteness in your teeth. After getting your first cleaning post braces, you can determine if it is worth the cost to have your teeth professionally whitened. Most dentists off tray whitening and some even offer laser whitening. The tray whitening is professional grade and usually accounts for several shades of whiter teeth. The laser is more expensive as is most laser treatment and may need several treatments before your teeth are as white as you had liked. In any case you may want to try over the counter whitening tool such as crest white strips. We have found them to be effective, but some say that the results are temporary and need to be maintained with more product.

sudden pain in teeth while using crest whitening strips?

i got this SUDDEN intense pain in one of my bottom teeth. and then just minutes ago i got another one in one of my upper teeth. what caused this?
--------------------
Whitening products and getting your teeth whitened at the dentist often make your teeth very sensitive. You may want to change to a different toothpaste while you're whitening to help the sensitivity. Try Sensidine. When you whitening your teeth it is dissolving a layer of enamel and that is what is causing the sensitivity. It's normal, but you want to be sure not to overuse whitening products. Good luck!

How do you whiten a porcelain veneer on teeth?

I have a porcelain veneer on one of my teeth, from years ago when I was a kid. I am considering getting my teeth whitened but my dentist doesn' t think the procedure would work on the veneer. It would be obvious if it didn't, since it is one of my two front-teeth, and I'd rather know before I tried. Anybody know how this one can be whitened?
--------------------
Get the veneer replaced with a whiter one.

How can I get whiter teeth without special treatment?

I don't want to spend money on teeth whitening kits or bleach ect. Is there anything I can do, eat, avoid eating ect, that will help to whiten my teeth?
--------------------
Lemon juice, baking soda or baking powder can also be used for teeth whitening. Strawberries are natural teeth whiteners, simply rub them directly on your teeth or mash into a paste and apply. Apple cider vinegar can also be used for teeth whitening. More remedies and information regarding your teeth at http://useinfo-teethwhitening.blogspot.c…

Question about Rembrant whitening and teeth?

I recently have been only drinking a crystal light type drink (usually about 10 water bottles/day)...for about 2 months or so...I finally noticed my teeth were looking weird...and there's actually brownish/yellowish spots all over and inbetween the teeth! Gross!..I know I need to go to the dentist...but while I'm saving up the money (no insurance)...do you think the whitening systems they have out there could make my teeth look even worse...or is it quite effective...(I'd still go to the dentist asap!)
--------------------
this doesn't really work.. try zoom.. at the dentist.

What is the BEST tooth whitening gel to use at home?

I already have custom trays fitted for my teeth, but I am in search of a really good high-end gel ( not junk like crest whitestrips) I want my teeth to be hollywood white...like so white they are blinding! :) Any suggestions? Thanks!
--------------------
I don't have any suggestions for gels, but crest whitestrips premium are surprisingly effective! I did two rounds of whitening with them (10 days, waited 6 months, and then another ten days) and I am always getting comments and compliments about my teeth. If you want something that will definitely work (ie. "Hollywood" white) without shelling out too much, I would suggest you see your dentist about Zoom whitening. It's a quick, longlasting process that is super effective and costs around $500. There's also goSmile, available at sephora. Here is the info: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh… good luck!

Whitening strips for my teeth?

I got out of braces a few months ago, and my teeth look great! The only thing is I'd like them to be whiter, so I've been considering getting some whitening strips to use. Are there any side effects? What brand do you recommend? Is it appropriate for a 12-year-old to be using them, anyway?
--------------------
whitening stripes are great, but as usual there are side affects it can make your teeth very sensitive, so dont use them longer than recommended and not for more than the recommended time. just follow the instructions on the box. i use whiting toothpaste and mouth wash, it doesnt make my teeth as sensitive as the strips. im a dental assistant and unfortunately there are no safe products for whitening, but you can talk to you dentist about bleaching trays.

Teeth Whitening Product ?

Hi Can anyone tell me in your opinion what the best product for whitening teeth is ? Thanks!
--------------------
Tooth whitening can cost anything from $400 for Laser whitening and upwards for a professional laser whitening treatment, to a do it yourself kit for $29.99 off the Internet. However, the active ingredients that turn the tooth white are almost always the same - a carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide solution. Your dentist will likely use a 22-45% carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide solution which is a relatively strong solution while in the chair, and will give you a 16-22% solution for use at home. However, this can vary greatly according to your sensitivity and the actual whitening agent used. The strips work OK if you have perfectly straight teeth. If you don't you will get ugly lines where the strips don't quite line up. Cheapest is to use a bleaching kit with trays for use at home with a good amount of the active ingredients.

Teeth whitening/bleaching?

I picked up my whitening kit from the dentist. It's a 16% PolaNight. I'm using my Invisalign aligners. The kit has these syringes filled with gel that I put in the aligners. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried the bleaching kit. How effective is it? It says to keep the stuff on at least 2 hours. Can I wear it all night? And are there certain foods/drink that will stain my teeth during this process? I don't drink coffee but do drink soda ever so often. The lady at the dentist said to use it till you're happy with the color. Do most people just use all the syringes?
--------------------
Dazzle White Pro is probably the one that I get the best results from. It truly lives up to it's promises as you can see results in as little as 10 minutes, with no need to wait days or weeks to see any results. It is a little pen applicator which applies the whitening product to your teeth and after only a few minutes . . . you will see results, just as I did. It's truly a new type of whitening product. Best of All: You can try it absolutely free so you can see if their claims add up -- which if you're like me, you'll see results. I put the website in the resource box. Get your free trial today, I don't think it is lasting much longer . . . if you don't then you will only wonder why you didn't take advantage of it, and kick yourself for missing out on this remarkable product.

how much does teeth whitening cost?

im in the UK
--------------------
There are few ways of teeth whitening - In-home; Office, Whitening strips. Since you had braces, I guess strips won't work for you. Office whitening is the most expensive. It goes 6-10 shades immediately and costs $400-$800 here in States - depends on the method, your doc, etc...It's done by putting the bleach on your teeth and using the light to work on it... In-home kits are in my opinion less invasive, less painful and more suitable for your age, if you really need a whitening. The doc will take a print of your teeth, will make a form and you will just put a whitening agent inside and stuck it on your teeth for some amount of time. It takes few days, but the results are same or very close to the office method. I had an office method done last year before getting a crown for my implant. For me it was horrible experience. I have a sensitive teeth and 2 hours after the procedure I was in excrutiating pain. It lasted for few hours and was gone, but I would never do it again. If I ever needed to whiten my teeth, I would opt for an In-home kit. Since you are 13, the whitening is not very good for you, but after the braces removal your teeth may be stained. Your dentist is a specialist and he will determine the best way for you considering your age, your teeth sensitivity, etc. Good luck! :)
