I have a mac and I want to know if there are any free programs, websites, or ways that I can whiten teeth in my photos. The only photo editing software I have is iphoto. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Yes, over time. But do not use it full strength, since it is damaging to the gums. It does, however take a VERY long time, and you may find that whitening strips or the process of lazers at your dentist (zoom) will do the trick faster

Can you use four whitening strips at once to avoid them only covering some teeth?
I've heard that with crest whitening strips they only cover about six teeth on each row... Can you just use two strips on each row, like two top and two bottom, so that they cover twelve on each row..? Or are they specially designed to fit certain teeth..? Thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone got a mold of their teeth and gels from their dentist to whiten their teeth. I'm curious which gel you used, how well it worked (I'm looking to achieve movie star white teeth), and how long the results lasted. *Please respond only if you used custom-made trays and gel from a dentist, not Zoom or over-the-counter whitening agents, like Crest Whitestrips.*

I was working at a dentist office for 5 years and I have used the tray myself. It really works. We were using a gel called Nite White. You had to wear the tray either overnight or for 8 straight hours. You can see the result within a week. It will last for about a year/year and a half depending on the food you take (coke, coffee, smoke, etc make the tooth yellow faster). You can always get a refill kit. The tray is pretty easy to use. It fits tight on your teeth since they take a mold, so you won't have as much saliva problem as with the strips. It ay take you a day or two before you get used to it. What we recommended to our patients was to use the upper tray for 2 nights first to see the difference. The only thing you need to make sure about before using the gel is you don't have any cavities. The gel causes teeth and gum sensitivity and if you have any cavities, it can get painful. One disadvantage to bleaching teeth (either method) is if you havee white fillings, it will not change the color of the fillings. So, if you hav any fillings specially on the front teeth, you may have to replace them with the whiter shade fillings once you are done with the whitening. Hope it helps

i brush my teeth twice a day with whitening toothpaste but they are still yellow.?
i have never smoked and dont eat lots of curry ( have heard these things give you yellow teeth) and i am 15 but my teeth are yellow. i have tried all the whitening toothpastes but it still doesnt seem to work. how can i get them whiter with out professional whitening (obviously im not old enough). i used to have braces for a year and they started turning yellow then. any help?

ANYONE HAVE QUICK TEETH WHITENING METHODS?
the only thing i dont like about my teeth is the fact that the two front teeth are yellow! i asked my dentist why they are still yellow even after brushing daily, and she said that it was an effect from taking some type of medication when i was younger, a growth defect. so basically, they are stains -_-! is there any fast and easy way to reduce the look of yellow stains? You know those really sharp intense pains that some people get when they whiten their teeth - why do they get them? Is it because the bleach hit a nerve in the tooth or something?

But if you still want your teeth to be whiter use ACT or another fluoride rinse to help build up the enamel and use the whiting gel less often. This should help. The best products are the kits you can get from your dentist, but I have pretty much all the home remedies and I found that the crest extra whitening toothpaste plus scope and the 14-day crest white strips do a great job. I use the toothpaste regularly and the followed one box of crest strips as suggested and now use a set of strips once or twice a week. I was talking with my dentist the other day and he noticed how white my teeth were and we got talking and he asked what I had been doing. He said the crest stuff and all the home kits tend to not work that well unless people stay away from overly dyed foods, like koolaids, dark pop, coffee, tea, etc. So if you really want them to work and last be sure to reduce your intake of these things. I don't ever drink anything dark and am a little OCD about my teeth so they worked amazingly. Hope this helps and good luck.
