This might sound weird, but banana peels!! You rub the inside of the peel (white part opposite of yellow side) across your teeth for about 5 minutes. Than, you take a tooth brush and brush off the residue. In about a month, you teeth will improve by two shades of white! Good Luck!!! ;D

alright I want a natural way to do this and I want it as soon as possible! brushing my teeth with only the toothpaste will not help very much I want an extremely effective way to whiten my teeth if possible then it would be nice if it was under 2 weeks that is all

Teeth and whitening strips?
So I have very bad enamel and the dentist's have told me this many times. Its very hard for my teeth to be white and clean even though I brush them alot. I have a few white spots on some of my teeth and I was wondering. Is it safe for me to use whitening strips from the store on my teeth?

The white spots are caused from excessive fluoride ingested; it's called fluorosis and described as mottling. I would not recommend the zoom bleaching system especially to you due to the mottling. I'm speaking from the voice of experience since I've tried the zoom and brite smile, but I've used and still use my bleaching trays, for over ten or twelve years now, so what does that tell you? Most patients are extremely happy with the bleaching trays and solutions that your dentist can offer you. This method takes about two weeks to achieve the brightness you want and allows you to touch up months later when you feel like your teeth are getting a little dark. You use the trays for about 30 minutes to an hour, once or twice each day for two weeks, sometimes a little longer depending on the darkness of your teeth. There are various solutions of different strengths that can be used so that sensitivity is minimal. The zoom doesn't offer this, it's only advantage is that it takes an hour giving you the instant brightness that most patients want. Now I can tell you that all of the one hour products say they last a year or even two but I was using my trays within 6 months time after both of them. The one hour systems are about $600 for (what they say) a year vs. approximately $400 for many years. Like I said, I've used my same ones well over ten years that I can remember. Most patients don't wear the trays out; they burn them with hot curling irons or misplace them. So with the fluorosis that you have I would definitely use the dental bleaching trays so that "you" can monitor your whiteness level. I think you will be much happier with this method. Discuss this with your dentist, I'm sure he will give you the same information about the "trays" that I have. I don't think you will get the same information about the one hour system though, if his office is trying to sell it. Hope I've been of some help and good luck with which ever method that you choose. You may have some of the material, usually on the lower anterior that seeps some on the bottom, but the material is pretty thick and will adhere to the teeth, so a little seepage is fine and should be wiped off. As far as saliva going up under the trays, it's not a possibility if the trays fit tight and are placed correctly. You might want to ask your dentist "not" to place the block on the model so the tray fits completely against the teeth. Some cases I've seen with the block placed have a tendency to allow the solution to "pool" leaving a space at the top of the upper near the tissue, and at the lower missing the incical edge of the teeth that doesn't get bleached as well. I'm sure after you discuss this with your dentist he will make the trays without the block if you request it, unless he makes them that way already. remberant whiting toothpaste works best for me...i use crest whitestrips and patients i know who come into my office use them too and i notice a difference in whiter brighter teeth(using shade guide to show them the difference it makes:)) i use remberant to keep them white because i love coffee:) if you want to spend more money:( you could go to a hygenist and the can make you custom whitening trays and give you bleach for them...it costs more money but the toothpaste and crest whitestrips are just as effective try that before you spend the extra money:)

How do i stop my teeth from coming out?

Making it loose. The dentist is the only one that can help you. Also, you do not want to get dentures too early in life. They tend to grind down the bone and by the time you are old, there is no ridge left for them to sit on. The thing about teeth is... You go to the dentist regularly, it costs a little and involves little pain. OR you go infrequently..and it costs big money w/ lots of pain. YOU CANNOT WIN

Whitening teeth with a porcelain crown?? What can I do about discoloration?
I really want to get my teeth whitened, but I have a porcelain crown on one of my front teeth.. I started using Crest Whitestrips, and they worked awesome for me. However, it obviously didn't whiten my crown. I got the crown 8 years ago, and it is beginning to discolor, especially at the top where it meets with the part of my real tooth they attatched it to. I am really self concious about my teeth.. is it possible to get the crown re-painted?? or do I have to get a whole new crown or veneer? Bah. Also, how much will all this cost, I live in Canada. you cant bleach the porcelain crown. unfortunatly, You will need to get it replaced. the dentist is unable to place any 'paint' or composite on top as composite does not stick to the ceramic crown. the crown itself hasnt discoloured, rather, because your natural teeth have lightened, you imagine that it has discoloured. The part where the crown meets your real tooth is called the 'margin', and because it is 8 years old, i am assuming that it is a PFM crown (porcelain fused to metal), therefore the discolouration you can see is the metal showing through because your gums have receeded. if you do decide to get it replaced, ask for an all-ceramic crown. although it costs more, it will look alot better than your current crown as there is no metal which 'blocks' the light and reflections, making it look more natural. The all ceramic crown will also still look natural when your gums recede at the margin as there is no metal which will show (unlike your current crown) hope this helps..

I just bought some and the top one stays put OK, but the bottom strip doesn't, I guess the saliva gets it really wet and just comes off after a minute or so. Also I know if I talk too much with the strip in it definitely gets too wet really fast so I avoid talking too much. It's hard but I really want white teeth :) Hope this helps!

Question for teeth whitening?
Okay, my teeth are very yellow. I brush two times a day and it barley helps. I have heard to mix baking soda and peroxide than rub it on my teeth. Does anyone one know anything else to do and STEPS for the baking soda and peroxide and steps for other suggestions. PLEASE HELP. I AM VERY DESPERATE MY TEETH ARE GETTING VERY YELLOW. (No, I do not smoke, I don't know why this happened) God bless ~Angelina~

Teeth Whitening? Any requirements?
Are there are any restrictions when having you're teeth whitened? Are there any requirements you have to meet in regards to the health of you're teeth/gums?
