How long is it going to take for my teeth to whiten?
So I just started trying to whiten my teeth today. I first floss, then I brush my teeth with a paste made from water and baking soda. I then also brush my teeth with peroxide, then with regular crest white tooth paste. Then I rinse my mouth out with scope. I'm just wondering how long its going to take my teeth to whiten if I do this daily.Thanks in advance.

baking soda is not going to whiten your teeth. I've heard of dilluting hydrogen-peroxide and swishing your mouth with that. I've never done it but heard of people who have. I suggest you read the warning label on the hydrogen-peroxide bottle first. You can find this stuff at any drug store, or chain store.

to the experienced ones does it really work? and you know how it says its best if you dont brush your teeth right before you apply the strips but how about if you brush your teeth AFTER you've applied them and taken them off? but also why wouldnt they work if you apply them right after you brush your teeth..?

Yes, Crest Whitestrips work. They don't work as well as professional whitening done by the dentist, but they still work pretty darn good. I just completed a second course of the Crest Whitestrips Premium, and my teeth are WAY whiter than they used to be. About the brushing thing. You actually CAN brush your teeth before using the strips. The reason they say that you shouldn't, is because there is a greater chance of experiencing tooth and gum sensitivity if you brush your teeth immediately before using the strips. So it is really just for comfort. And yes, you can brush your teeth after you take off the strip. After about 30 minutes, your saliva has more than likely diluted the bleaching agent to the point where it is no longer effective. So it isn't doing any more whitening after 30 minutes, so there is no harm in brushing your teeth after the strips. With these strips, the goal is to wear them for a total of one hour per day. So, you can either wear them for 30 minutes at some point in the day, and then wear them later in the day for an additional 30 minutes. Or, you can wear the strips for 30 minutes, and immediately wear another set for 30 minutes to get it over with. And it doesn't really matter what time of the day you use it, just as long as you get an hour in every day. Hope this helps. Oh btw, if it comes down to you wearing the strips vs. you taking care of your teeth, i.e. brushing them, then I would definitely brush them. White teeth are nice, but they are a luxury. Lately alot of people at my school have been teasing me for my teeth. I brush my teeth every morning, but they are still a horrible yellow colour. It hurts alot when people do this and i've stopped smiling cus i don't want people to see my teeth. I looked on Google for a solution and it came up with something called veneers. ROOT CANAL. CROWN OR TEETH WHITENING FIRST?
I've had root canal treatment on my two front teeth. I want to have white teeth so when I get crowns I'm going to get a whiter shade then my other teeth. I'll probably use teeth whitener to bleach my other teeth so everything becomes the same colour. My question is, should I get the white crowns in first, or should I bleach my other teeth first? Also, I would like to know if use teeth whitener will somehow harm my root canaled teeth because of the chemicals coming in contact..

How can I get extra white teeth?
I recently had my teeth whitened at the dentist's (3 half-hour sessions). This was done using normal office whitening (as opposed to a more expensive laser whitening, which the dentist told me leads to the same result). I am not really satisfied with the result, it seems one or two degrees lighter but where is that super-white color I see in photos or on TV? Anyone can advise if there are good products for whitening teeth? (p.s. I live in Egypt)...

I've used a bunch of them but the ones that were by far the easiest with the best results were the Aquafresh trays. The Crest white strips slide all over the place and are a pain in the butt. They work, though, if you can deal with them sliding all over. I personally don't like them. There is also the Oral-B Rembrandt 2 hour one that will do a week's worth in two hours if you're in a time crunch. Personally I love the trays, they're by far my favorite. Hope that helps. :o)

I'm paying $500 for Zoom whitener for my teeth. They aren't THAT yellow and dingy...but I am getting embarrassed. I've smoked almost 10 years! Question about whitening my teeth?
ok i dont know why but for for some reason my teeth are yellowish......i wash them every day and i have used every tooth paste there is. i want to know if those whitening stripes really work and if they do which brand should i choose.and if they dont what other methods are there to whiten them. thanksfor your help!!

I had moderately yellow teeth and I used Crest Whitestripes. It dramatically whitened my teeth. Every once in awhile I whiten again just to keep the results. Also, drinking lots of tea and soda can make your teeth yellow, sometimes just cutting down on those drinks can make your teeth whiter. Good luck!

Whitening Teeth?
I am getting married in June of 08 and I want to whiten my teeth for the picutres. I did not like the crest white strips. Putting gel on my teeth makes me gag. I am looking for a cheap way to whiten them. Is there toothpaste that will change the color of my teeth. I currently use crest whittening expressions if I brush 3 times a day will that help me teeth at all? Thanks! Please do not tell me to go to the dentist or try strips for my teeth.
