What is the best teeth whitening product in the stores?
Any help would be appreciated, I still have to go to the dentist to get my gums scaled and all that fun stuff lol, but before that I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on what they consider to be the best teeth whiteners out there, that i can pick up from the store and not have to order. Hi! I have used 2 different types of teeth whiteners by Crest and they both worked fantastic! I used the one where you have to wear them for 30 minutes twice a day for 2 weeks and the Crest PRO whitening is twice a day for 30 minutes for 1 week. Both gave amazing immediate results that everyone noticed! Now the CONS for both; horrible HORRIBLE tooth sensitivity! It will last the duration of the time that you are using the strips! The one i used for 2 weeks was painful, even when your not wearing them your teeth cant even stand the cold air against them! The 1 week ones hurt too but obviously didn't hurt for as long since you only use them for a week (takes about a week of not using themf or your teeth to go back to normal) Sometimes they also make your teeth TOO white so stop when you reach the desired color and save the rest for another time (i believe its only once a year!)

Professional or non-professional... I would like to see exteremly good and noticeable results. I have tried many at home products and I am thinking more about a professional technique that is the least harmful to my enamel and will not cause my teeth to be overly sensitive.

Mix baking soda and peroxide in a bowl till you get a paste. Brush your teeth with it once a week. I've done it twice (2 weeks) and I already see improvement. Very cheap; I had the two ingredients lying around the house already. Don't do it more than once a week though cause it can rip the enamel off and cause damage.

i have the same problem with those products. although they do work charmingly, they leave my teeth even more sensitive than before. now i stick to aquafresh multiaction whitening... works the best while preventing cavities. be careful when buying because, aquafresh has 3 lines of whitening toothpastes and the other ones gave me cold sores. i've been using multiaction whitening for 5 years now and people think i whiten my teeth professionally! don't forget to get aquafresh whitening floss too and floss daily!

Other then teeth whitening, what other dental work is considered cosmetic, and cannot be deducted?
Last year, I had over $6,000 in dental work done, and my husband had around $4,000. We had no insurance and all of it was out of pocket. I know I cannot claim the whitening, but is there anything else that I should not claim? Normal services, extractions, fillings, xrays, stitches, partials, and a bridge were completed.
