I've started using a 35% Carbamide peroxide whitening gel with a silicone impression tray..but it has only whitened certain angles/parts of my teeth. I filled the tray with an equal amount of gel but it still left me with this result. If i keep on whitening will it whiten the whole area of the teeth? Or is there anyway to fade the really white parts? Please help! Thankyou!

Haha I always have the same problem. The white parts are called fluorosis, if you keep whitening your teeth they WILL eventually match the level of whiteness don't worry!

After using Zoom whitening do your teeth fade a little before they whiten?
I've just had it done and in the dentist's chair they looked really white and now have faded a little. I remember one of the dental nurses saying ages ago the teeth fade for a day and then go white after that?

You can brush ur teeth with colgate total which is a great toothpaste and add a bit of backing powder wich will whiten ur teeth pretty fast once there are white u should stop using the baking powder though cuz it may cuz the lost of tooth enamel if u use it for over 2 months straight. and for the weight u have to stop drinking pops and gatorade those things have crazy amount of sugar in them drink natural apple juice or orange juice (nothing from juice boxes)or water i dont know what u eat but u should only eat 3 meals a day and maybe 1 snack and 1 dessert. keep junk food once a week and i u want too slim fast drink those shaques that fill u up i dont know what there called but u can find them at any pharmacie or food store and remember to excersise and play sports sitting on the couch wont help u !!!!

i brush my teeth twice a day with whitening toothpaste but they are still yellow.?
i have never smoked and dont eat lots of curry ( have heard these things give you yellow teeth) and i am 15 but my teeth are yellow. i have tried all the whitening toothpastes but it still doesnt seem to work. how can i get them whiter with out professional whitening (obviously im not old enough). i used to have braces for a year and they started turning yellow then. any help?

ANYONE HAVE QUICK TEETH WHITENING METHODS?
the only thing i dont like about my teeth is the fact that the two front teeth are yellow! i asked my dentist why they are still yellow even after brushing daily, and she said that it was an effect from taking some type of medication when i was younger, a growth defect. so basically, they are stains -_-! is there any fast and easy way to reduce the look of yellow stains? You know those really sharp intense pains that some people get when they whiten their teeth - why do they get them? Is it because the bleach hit a nerve in the tooth or something?

It is because of the whitening gel. the pain will go away when you stop whitening after a little time. But if you still want your teeth to be whiter use ACT or another fluoride rinse to help build up the enamel and use the whiting gel less often. This should help. I described them tasting like weird chlorine lol* But make sure you do not leave them on for more then the directed amount of time after a few times of use. Gah, I did once, (the Crest ones) for like 2hrs lol, and I had the most seeennnsitiveee teeth EVERRR. I though I was going to cry just eating cereal. lol Also, try to use whitening mouthwash and toothpaste for maximum results. and Trident white gum!!!! Worked for me!

Extreme pain in gums after whitening teeth?
Just finished three nights of Nite White treatment on my teeth, and my gums are hurting LIKE HELL. They're extremely sensitive; the pain is the kind you get when cold hair runs through your teeth, except it's constant. I Took 2 Advil a couple hours ago, nothing changed. 1. Is this normal? 2. How long can I expect this to last? I'm done with the treatment so I won't be adding to it.

should doctor perscribed teeth whitening hurt?
i got a custom fitted tray from my dentist and use the bleach they gave me with it and almost every-time i use it i get a sharp electrifying pain in the roots of my teeth. is it ok to keep whitening? will the pain eventually go away? i leave it on for like an hour or so each time. it says to leave it on for 2 though. All the toothpastes do is remove the everyday stains that occur from drinking coffee, etc. They don't remove older, more permanent staining. I beleive that colgate's range is the best at achieving what they say they do, however non of the pastes on their own will give that bright white smile. They are best for maintaining another whitening system.

Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don't cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective.
