Hi, does anyone know a good home remedy for whitening teeth? I have tried baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, but it is just too freaken gross for me!!! Does anyone have any other good ways of doing that! I'd really appreciate it...Thank you!!!

DEPENDS..it can be 14$ for rembrandt whitening.. the white strips are around 30$.. but there is a brand called "Smile" and they have the best whitening.. it goes for about 70$.. but its worth it.. if u are trying to get a good one for cheap.. check the newspaper on sunday mornings.. they always have coupons for 3-5$ off..

ok so i heard baking soda was good to whiten your teeth so ive been using it for the past week twice a day & got amazing reults already but now i heard that using it too much can take the enamel of your teeth & i dont want that so does anyone know if this is true & if so how often should i brush my teeth with it also any other things anyone kno of to whiten teeth that is maybe better? & no whitening toothpastes because from my personal experience them things are just rip offs! please & thanks =)

I suggest using Colgate Total and brushing your teeth four times a day (every six hours) I have been doing this and nothing else and my teeth have whitened so much! Colgate Total has ingredients that attach to your teeth and protect you from stains, bacteria and bad breath for up to 8 hrs. I got my tube on sale at Jewel for $2. My boyfriend uses the whitening kind but I just use the fresh stripe kind. Maybe try it out, it can't hurt and its the cheapest way you'll hear. Oh yeah, and you can also mouthwash with hydrogen peroxide. That costs about a dollar to buy and its natural and gentle. It'll be by the rubbing alcohol and vinegar in the supermarket. Just another small tip: use ACT mouthwash once a day after brushing. It will prevent cavities like crazy, and its cheap and easy to do as well.

It sounds gross but it works. My grandpa has used it for years and he's still got all of his real teeth and they're white. The first part isn't as bad...you just use regular old Arm and Hammer baking soda....it is non abrasive and it cleans your teeth really well....then after rinsing really well....you use apple cider vinegar.. brush your teeth and gums lightly....you'll probably want to follow up with your favorite tooth paste and mouthwash to get the vinegar taste out....it works really well and it's much much cheaper than any of that crap they sell in the stores.

Plus White 5 min speed teeth whitening UK alternative?
Does anyone know a good alternative to this American brand? Plus white is really cheap in States, while here in the UK it is more than twice more expensive, which is absolutely not worth that money.. If you whiten your teeth while wearing braces, You will have yellow spots where the metal stubs used to be after you get them off. I would wait until they are off and do the whitening at one time.

Yes, over time. But do not use it full strength, since it is damaging to the gums. It does, however take a VERY long time, and you may find that whitening strips or the process of lazers at your dentist (zoom) will do the trick faster

go to the dentist and have them do it, its a quick one time deal (maybe coverd by ins. but not always check 1st) also the over the counter stuff can really do long term damage to ur teeth, u also don't run the risk of making them to white so that they're fake lookin :( its safe, fast, effective, and not time consuming! *edit* also the over the counter stuff makes ur teeth REALLY sensitive to everything!

At our office we use ZOOM which is an absolutely great product. It takes about an hour and a half and you also get bleaching trays to maintenance at home. The patients I have bleached did say several hours after getting bleached their teeth were very sensitive, but by the next day the sensitivity was gone and well worth it because they had great results. The prize of ZOOM or any other in office bleaching differs in price depending on the area in which your live. I'm in West Virginia (and yes we do have teeth in WV, lol) and the price is about $400. Also the results are instant.
