Can I use a whitening tooth paste and whitening strips?

I was thinking about using crest whitening expressions or rembrandt premium whitening mint paste (extra gentle) and crest advanced seal whitening strips, would this cause too much sensitivity?
--------------------
The most commonly side effects to Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide are tooth sensitivity and occasional irritation of the soft tissues in the oral mucosa, particularly the gums. In most cases, sensitivity results from an ill-fitting tray rather than the tooth-bleaching agents. The sensitivity is temporary and stop after teeth whitening treatment. the site give me a lot of help, u can visit it Should I choose teeth whitening tray, strip, gel, paint-on? http://www.teethwhiteningbest.com/teeth-…

Do tanning beds actually whiten teeth?

I heard somewhere that using a tanning bed at a salon will help whiten teeth. Is this true, or is it a myth?
--------------------
There are new teeth whitening products that contain an ingredient called Carbamide Peroxide gel that is activated by the UV light from a tanning bed. Once the gel is activated, it releases oxygen into the teeth, which penetrates the enamel and lifts stains from the teeth. Don't know if they work well--but they're supposed to simulate what the dentist does at the office. You might even be able to buy these whitening products at the tanning salon: Twilight Teeth and Hollywood White.

How to whiten teeth without products?

i've heard of hydrogen peroxide, what is that? what is it used for? any other ways?
--------------------
You can always use baking soda. Just add it onto your toothpaste. Or a mix of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. And even though this is a product... I recommend the whitening tooth pastes. And all of these remedies have worked great for me.

Are home tooth whitening kits actually safe?

The link is below:- http://www.whiteshine.co.uk/ I dont want to ruin my teeth but cant afford to pay thousands. Do you know if this is any good?-thanks
--------------------
I drink way too much coffee and started to get stressed out when they weren't as white anymore. I was going to go the dentist to have him do it but it was ridiculously expensive. So I looked for forever and I finally found a kit that's just like the one the dentist uses with the mold and injection. It works amazing and I'm glad I didn't have the dentist do it. I got it on sale too because they were having a trial where you get to try it for the cost of shipping for like 6 bucks. I don't know if it's still on sale but here's the website. http://mywhiterteeth.info

How do I whiten my teeth?

Hi I just took my braces off and my teeth is very straight. But they are very yellow? How much will it cost if I go to dentist to whiten them?
--------------------
I use arm & hammer tooth whitening booster gel. You put your normal toothpaste on your toothbrush and then apply the gel overtop. I started seeing results after a week & a half. Highly recommend it.

What is the best way to get rid of yellow stain on your teeth?

I have yellow stain on my teeth. I tried using whitening toothpaste but, the stain won't come off. What should I do?
--------------------
Whiting toothpaste doesn't work as it isn't held against your teeth. I think that it is a waste of time. There are different alternatives. Maybe, you could see a hygienist to scale and polish your teeth and remove the staining if it just on the surface. If the staining is in the teeth, then you could either use a home bleaching kit or laser or "zoom" bleaching. A home bleaching lit is about $250 and it takes about 7 to 10 days to complete. Also, if you feel that in 12 months or so, you can purchase a top up syringe cause you already have the trays. Laser or "zoom" bleaching is done in the dentist's chair. it takes about an hour and could cost $1200++. A high concentrate of bleach is painted onto the teeth and a light is used to accelerate the process. This can make your teeth very very sensitive. I mean for days and days. Have talk with your dentist and see what he/she recommends. Good Luck

Whitening my Teeth ?

Ok I'm 16 years old and after I got my braces off I notcied that my teeth were yellow and I want to make my teeth a little whiter. There are many productss out there but there are 3 ways I'm thinking about. Crest Whitestrips, Crest Night Effects, and using Hydrogen Peroxide after your brush. Which one should I do and will work the most. Also I dont want to damage my teeth so which one would be the healthiest ?
--------------------
consulting a dentist is the best way to be able to choose the best, safe and effective teeth whitening system. he may recommend you a good teeth whitener that contains good quality ingredients that will not harm teeth and gums. some teeth whitening kits contain harmful ingredients that can cause gum problems. stained teeth are caused by the foods and drinks that you consume that can possibly discolor teeth like red wine, tea, coffee, colas and chocolates and more. it is best that you refrain from consuming them. if not, then you can use a straw when drinking. proper brushing and flossing will help remove stains after eating. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on how to whiten teeth.

Crest Whitening Strips hurt my teeth!!?

I used crest whitening strips and they made my teeth hurt really bad!!! It felt like my teeth were being shocked or stung or something. I'm assuming it is because the bleach has seeped into my tooth and irritated my nerve, but i'm not sure. I don't understand why it is doing this, because I have lots of friends who use it without any problems. Do you experience the same effects?? Do you know what I should do about it?? I have a product called Nite White ACP that my mother gave me, but I'm very afraid of what might happen if I use it. PLEASE HELP!!!
--------------------
It's tooth sensitivity. Try using a toothpaste called Sensodyne and use a soft-bristled toothbrush. If the pain continues, see your dentist!

How do I whiten my teeth without strips or a trip to the dentist?

Just looking for an easy way to brighten my smile to make my day flow by easier:-)
--------------------
Step 1Make sure that you brush, floss and use mouthwash everyday. Because plaque becomes rock hard in just 12 hours, including between your teeth, without proper dental hygiene, teeth whitening efforts are simply a waste of time. Step 2Use baking soda to brush your teeth instead of your regular toothpaste. Baking soda is one of the best cheep methods to whiten teeth, as it effectively and quickly removes plaque. Using baking soda twice a day for just two weeks will give you noticeable results and the freshest breath around. Step 3Rub olive oil on your gums and teeth after brushing, as it has shown to have whitening power. Not only will olive oil help to whiten teeth, it will also help to kill bacteria which causes gingivitis and bad breath. Step 4Splurge and get yourself some over-the-counter whitening strips of gel. While these products may seem a bit pricey, they are cheep in comparison to profession dental treatment. However, be aware that these products can increase sensitivity to your teeth and can make your teeth more absorbent. If you smoke or drink tea or coffee, it is best to avoid these products. Lemon juice works as a natural bleach and it is sometimes recommended to mix lemon juice with baking soda; however, the citric acid in lemons can permanently damage your tooth enamel.

Does anyone have any home remedies/recipes that I can put together to whiten my teeth?

Please keep in mind that although I would like my teeth a bit whiter, I don't want to do anything that may cause damage...thanks!
--------------------
Actually, this is a funky idea, but it will not damage your teeth, gums or mouth (won't taste too good, but it will work). Put an Alka Seltzer in your mouth then add a 1/3 - 1/2 cup of vinegar. The Alka seltzer will fizz up like crazy and all those lovely bubbles will take stains off your teeth like there was no tomorrow (this also works on the inside of dirty thermoses and hard to scrub toilet spots too). It will feel funky and you should probably rinse your mouth out afterwards (but neither vinegar or Alka Seltzer can ever damage your mouth or teeth!). Do this ince a day for 3 days, you should see some difference.

How much does it cost to whiten your teeth using laser?

and how many visits do you need to get em totally white?
--------------------
It's actually not a "laser", but it is a special light. It takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half with only 1 visit necessary. The length of time the results last depends on your own personal habbits. If you do a lot of things to stain your teeth (smoking, drinking coffee tea cola red wine, eating a lot of red sauces and dark foods) the results will not last as long, but can last several years without touch-ups. The price is anywhere from $400-600 depending on what part of the country you live in.

if im using baking soda to whiten my teeth, how long will it take to see difference?

ILL GIVE YOU 10 POINTS!!!! i also want to know how many times a week should i use baking soda. and if there's any other CHEAP way to brighten my teeth in ONE month.
--------------------
You should brush your teeth everyday with toothpaste and baking soda. That will polish the teeth. After you have done that. Rinse, rinse.. Then put some hydrogen peroxide in your mouth, swirl that around and brush again with some of the peroxide in your mouth. Those "White Strips" are peroxide. That is what brightens the teeth. In ONE month you will notice a difference. Though you have to be consistent. Everyday!

What is the best product to use to whiten my teeth?

That I can get at Walmart or someother convience store?
--------------------
Step 1: Brush and floss regularly to reduce or prevent stains. Step 2: Try whitening toothpastes. Though heavily advertised, these only partially whiten teeth and don't provide a complete remedy. Make sure the toothpaste has the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of approval and has been clinically proved to whiten teeth effectively. Very few whitening toothpastes have undergone any type of clinical trial, and ones that are too abrasive can damage teeth or make them very sensitive. Step 3: Get regular dental cleanings, which remove many food and tobacco stains. No amount of cleaning will remove the severe staining left by tetracycline or systemic disease because these pigments lie inside the tooth; you'll have to take more aggressive measures against these. Step 4: Consider the two options, in-office and at-home treatments, for bleaching your teeth. A dentist performs in-office treatments by coating the teeth with a bleaching agent, then using periodic flashes of light to activate the solution. Treatments last 30 to 60 minutes, and the complete procedure often requires several appointments. In at-home treatments, patients wear a mouth guard fitted with bleaching gel 2 hours a day for two weeks, depending on the severity of staining. Step 5: Think about getting veneers, which are custom-made shells bonded to the teeth with resins. This procedure often requires removing a small amount of tooth structure and is the most invasive, as well as the most expensive, treatment option. OR YOU CAN TRY STRAWBERRIES! ( Natural way) You need: 1 ripe strawberry 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Directions: Crush the strawberry to a pulp, then mix with the baking soda until blended. Use a soft toothbrush to spread the mixture onto your teeth. Leave on for 5 minutes, then brush thoroughly with toothpaste to remove the berry–baking soda mix. Rinse. (A little floss will help get rid of any strawberry seeds.)
