I'm on day 3 of Crest White Strips Pro Effects, and only the tips + corners of my teeth are whitening?

Am I doing something wrong? I've completed 6 upper and 6 lower strips, i still have more to go, but why are only the tips and corners of each tooth getting bleached? I leave them on for full 30 mins
--------------------
The tips and corners of the teeth are notorious for having "hypocalcified" spots. These ares take up the bleach faster and look whiter very quickly. Keep bleaching so that you can bring up the background color. The tips and corners will blend better when you are done. Also, they get very white because of tooth dehydration, which bleaching causes. Once the teeth rehydrate, every thing will look more normal. No Worries!!

What are some Dentist available options for whitening my teeth?

I'm looking for a white smile that is available at the dentist office. Whats the best option(If price is not an issue)? I've heard Zoom isn't very good. Please any advice
--------------------
Hi, Are you requiring an at-home kit or actually done whilst in the dental chair? At-home kits (available from your dentist's office) can be very effective (personal experience). I used the Pola system by the SDI Company. I also know of Quick White which is done in-surgery, which, apparently, is effective. I have not worked in a practice that use Zoom, so I cannot comment. Look on the Internet for options and before & after pictures of several products. The Pola system worked fantastically for me, but had to do it for 10 days at home, on an evening time and for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Keep smiling, IC.

Under $600, efficient, legit, no scams. Philly or its suburbs.

I suggest you to use a legitimate product such as Crest Whitestrips. They work and really worth a try. The price is about $20-$50 only.

I always want to click those adds, but I'm scared I'll get a virus. And, if she did, is it just something like "Brush your teeth 2 or three times a day"? Because that works for me pretty well.

What are the best teeth whitening systems? or Have you tried Invisaline (braces)?

As you read I have two separate questions: What are the best teeth whitening systems? I'm thinking about trying Listerine or Crest Whitening Strips, have you tried either, or something different, and how did it work? Have you tried Invisaline (braces)? Is it expensive? Painful? What was wrong with your teeth? How long did it take to work? I have a small gap, and I'd like to get rid of it. THANKS EVERYONE!
--------------------
the whiting product I cant remember the name of it but you have all these little blue tubes and a plastic mouth guard thing to put that stuff in that works wonders and it works in 2 hours and invisaline I have tried for straightening one tooth out on the bottom and it worked in 1 week it cost me 85 dollars

how can i whiten my teeth without buying whitening strips or gettting it done proffesionally?

i brush my teeth twice a day and they just wont turn white. and im even using a whitening toothpaste! please help me!
--------------------
Crest vivid white toothpaste and whitening alcohol free motuh wash worked great for me. I also used the aquafresh trays, they worked well but sometimes the gel would ooze out and my gums would turn white for 30 mins. You can also stop drinking coffee, soda, tea, etc, stop smoking. Stop using mouthwash that contains alcohol, it ruins tooth enamel.

Teeth whitening for my daughter?

I asked my 15 year old daughter's dentist if it was okay, he said yes. So, what is the best most affordable teeth whitener? Do you have any personal experiences using teeth whiteners? Thank you, she just got her braces off in Dec. and this will make her smile perfect.
--------------------
I love Crest whitestrips. They range in price so you can choose what's best for you. I also use Crest Vivid White toothpaste. I can tell a difference when i dont use it. Over the time of another tube of toothpaste. Not overnight of course. The only drawback would be sensitivity.

well I had braces for about a year and when the were FINALLY taken off you could still see where they were. well that was a little over 8 months ago and I have been brushing my teeth regularly and they ARE wight and healthy, but I can still see the slight discloration from where they were. will the gels and stuff help to get rid of this??
--------------------
I used Crest Night Effects and that worked wonders.....You use this whitening paste before you go to bed and then brush it off in the morning But for 2 weeks.....You start to notice a difference after about 4 days though.

What is the best tooth whitening product?

Can you tell me what product is best for whitening teeth please.
--------------------
Most people would say Crest White Strips but since it's not available in my local area, I've started using a product called Teeth Whiten Tips. It's basically a disposable applicator swab that you can easily apply to your teeth. Been using it for one week so far, and I can tell that there is a major difference. Although I'm a heavy smoker so it may take a while to get rid of the external stains.

Whitening Teeth With Braces?

ok, soo my teeth are really yellow, and i have braces. i dont really brush them but i am starting to. so i want to get them whiter. can i use whitening strips? i know that if i whiten them, my teeth will be a different color when i take my braces off, but i am planning to get them whitened (professionally) when i get them off. is that ok?
--------------------
You can whiten them now with your braces. I have braces and the dentist told me I have to get them whitened. So, all they have to do is take off the wire on your braces and that's when they can be whitened there.

Is sodium bicarbonate good for whitening teeth?

If so, how should I apply it.
--------------------
Brushing with sodium bicarbonate will help remove surface stains. However, it will do absolutely nothing to remove internal pigmentation that is present deep in your enamel and dentin. For that, you need to do Carbamide Peroxide bleaching that actually penetrates into your enamel and dentin (in-office procedure, whitening trays or the whitening strips). Some intrinsic stains such as tetracycline antibiotic staining are VERY difficult to remove. (dark bands that resulted when one takes tetracycline antibiotics during early childhood). Hope this helps.

Teeth whitening at home?

I really want my teeth whitened... i cannot afford the professional denist whitening... can anyone recommend or suggest a good teeth whitening kit for at home. I live in the UK... and i was after something that isnt too expensive.
--------------------
Honestly?...don't waste your money on tooth whitening products from the chemist. The results are too subtle to notice and do not last long. The dentist is expensive but you can purchase the same formula online in kit form for a lot cheaper. As long as you apply the formula properly and according to instruction you will get a good result.Do not use a formula stronger that 17% as that is the maximum a dentist will use.If you smoke you are wasting you're time though as you're teeth will not stay white for long and overuse of the whitening gel will damage your teeth.

I used a little bit of baking soda with my toothpaste. It tastes gross but it worked for me.

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND FOR TEETH WHITENING?

i used crest white strips, and then like a month later they went back to going yellow, its really annoying and i think they made my teeth sensitive which ones do you think make them NOT SO SENSITIVE? toothpaste too? thanks a lot, :)
--------------------
Step 1: Brush and floss regularly to reduce or prevent stains. Step 2: Try whitening toothpastes. Though heavily advertised, these only partially whiten teeth and don't provide a complete remedy. Make sure the toothpaste has the American Dental Association (ADA) seal of approval and has been clinically proved to whiten teeth effectively. Very few whitening toothpastes have undergone any type of clinical trial, and ones that are too abrasive can damage teeth or make them very sensitive. Step 3: Get regular dental cleanings, which remove many food and tobacco stains. No amount of cleaning will remove the severe staining left by tetracycline or systemic disease because these pigments lie inside the tooth; you'll have to take more aggressive measures against these. Step 4: Consider the two options, in-office and at-home treatments, for bleaching your teeth. A dentist performs in-office treatments by coating the teeth with a bleaching agent, then using periodic flashes of light to activate the solution. Treatments last 30 to 60 minutes, and the complete procedure often requires several appointments. In at-home treatments, patients wear a mouth guard fitted with bleaching gel 2 hours a day for two weeks, depending on the severity of staining. Step 5: Think about getting veneers, which are custom-made shells bonded to the teeth with resins. This procedure often requires removing a small amount of tooth structure and is the most invasive, as well as the most expensive, treatment option. OR YOU CAN TRY STRAWBERRIES! ( Natural way) You need: 1 ripe strawberry 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Directions: Crush the strawberry to a pulp, then mix with the baking soda until blended. Use a soft toothbrush to spread the mixture onto your teeth. Leave on for 5 minutes, then brush thoroughly with toothpaste to remove the berry–baking soda mix. Rinse. (A little floss will help get rid of any strawberry seeds.)

How much does it cost to have a dentist whiten your teeth?

How much does teeth-whitening cost through a dentist? Will any insurance cover the procedure? Is it safe? What are some easy (fool-proof) alternatives and how much do they cost?
--------------------
I got quoted around 200 dollars but there are different procedures depending on the type of staining, the type of treatment they use, where you live, etc. Insurance will NOT cover it because it is a cosmetic procedure. Safe... ehhh some say it is, some say it isn't, generally yes if you get it done at the dentist, but it can weaken your enamel. Mix baking soda with peroxide.. You can get a small box of baking soda for under a dollar and a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide for the same. Mix it into a paste (or just dip your brush in the peroxide and then in the baking soda ) and brush with it. DONT swallow it, then brush your teeth normally. It won't make your teeth sensitive like some other whiteners, and it's cheap, but don't do it more than once or twice a week (don't do it every day) as it really just removes stains and once they're gone, they're gone, you can't really get much whiter. Remember teeth aren't naturally white, they're off white, so you can't really get them WHITE without damaging them. People you see with super white teeth... They're teeth are actually very unhealthy. Good luck!

Is it bad to get your teeth whitened at thirteen?

I've heard that it is, and I've also heard that it isn't. I don't know what to believe. I have braces right now, so after I take them off, I wanted to get a teeth whitening. How does the process work? Or should I just go for those teeth whitening strips thingies...? Thanks in advance!

Whats the best teeth whitening product?

I've used all kinds of things. It's not like my teeth are really gross looking or anything but I want to get them really really white. Also do you think the majority of whitening products out there make them less potent so that you'll have to buy more because some of them don't seem very effective at all. Thank you :]
--------------------
Crest strips are great. I've been using them for 4 years, coffee drinker, ex-smoker and they work great. I use them about every year or so. The key is to go through the entire system as directed to get max results. The Classic or Renewal line works great. The Premium line didn't work so good on me but everyone's different. The Premium line does take shorter time though, you wear them for 7 or 10 days. The Classic 14 days. And Renewal 10 day. I find the Renewal lifts deep stains (claims to remove up to 20 years of stains) but the Classic gave me longer lasting results. Any one of these, you wear for 30 mins a day, twice a day. It may cause some sensitivity. To decrease some of it, don't brush before use, wear the top/bottom separately, skip a day or allow more time in between each set. Like instead of wearing them back to back, wear a set in the morning and at night. There's also Crest Multicare, which gradually whitens your teeth. It takes 5 mins a day. I've also used the Rembrant whitening strips but no results for me. But my friend has used it and it works good. It's on sale on Amazon for under $10 which is a good deal. The strips cost about $30. Some dentists offer Crest Supreme too. I'm on that now. It has higher whitening ingredients and larger strips. While on any strips, avoid coffee, soda, tea, smoking, or dark drinks. Or rinse after. I use a whitening toothpaste like Colgate Total whitening or Rembrant whitening (pricey though) to prolong the results. There are more effective whitening options your dentist offers but since you ask for only otc. =) Good luck!

Too much teeth whitening ouch?

I was sent with a dentists 10% hydrogen peroxide solution for home whitening to do 2 times a day until it runs out, so roughly 20 days. Well I missed a few days and the sheet says do not miss any days! So I made up for it by using the bleach five times instead of two My teeth hurt today, what should I do? They LOOK fine, and paracetamol helps a little. Will this go away? Also, my boyfriend wont brush his teeth and says mouthwash is the same thing, and toothpaste and brushing is bad for teeth. how can I encourage him 2 start brushing?
--------------------
oh my god, first of all, is your boyfriend friggin crazy???? i think thtas just his excuse!! if he really thought that then wouldnt he try and stop you from using it seen as he supposidly loves you?? what is he basing this on??? secondly, why would you use it five times a day??? yeah, it might have said "dont mis any days" but im sure it also said "do noyt use more than 2 times a day" and if itm didnt then it friggin should have! it will go away in a few days, you have just aggrivated your gums and the nerves in them!

What is the best teeth whitening product you have used?

I'm curious
--------------------
Here are many ways that you can whitening your teeth! For home remedies. Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form toothpaste. Brush the teeth regularly with this paste. It will remove all stains in a month. Use bicarbonate of soda 5 minutes before brushing the teeth with normal toothpaste in the morning. This is a good home remedy for teeth whitening. Rubbing the bark of walnut tree on the teeth helps in removing all stains from the teeth. Strawberries are considered natural teeth whiteners. Rubbing the teeth with strawberries daily will remove all the stains. If you would like a suggestion on tooth whitening gel, here's something for you! Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel (about $18.00) allows you to remove stains while you sleep. The tooth whitening system has a fresh, wintergreen flavor. After fourteen days of sleeping with this product on your teeth, you will wake up to a vibrant smile. You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night More on http://www.myinformationz.info/teethwhit…

How do you keep your teeth white without buying whitening strips?

I brush my teeth after every meal and b4 i go to bed. i use Listerine morning and night. is there any other way? BTW i have braces.....
--------------------
What I do to make sure my teeth are white, is every couple of days spend a good 20 mins brushing your teeth and using the in between bracket brush (with toothpaste on it) and brush really well. Take your time, and for me they do become whiter. Brush EVERYWHERE and your teeth feel better, and for me, are whiter.
