What are some ways to whiten your teeth?

My teeth are slightly yellow, which i read is healthy but people tell me i put the sun out of business, yellow teeth, or gritsy teeth. Please Help!
--------------------
it depends on how much you want to spend, you can use whitening strips, whitening tooth paste, whitening mouthwash or you can go for whitening treatments (you'd have to talk to your dentist about the last one) Those are a lil more costly than the ol' fashioned way before you brush your teeth brush with baking soda, it'll taste like crap but it get the job done at a fraction of the cost.

How can I whiten my teeth?

My teeth are not straight or white, and I want to make my smile prettier. What's an inexpensive way I can whiten my teeth? I don't want the color of my teeth to hold me back from smiling.
--------------------
Hi, If you are searching for inexpensive methods, you have three options - natural whitening methods (strawberries, banana peels, parley leaves, wood ash), hydrogen peroxide (possibly combined with baking soda) and home teeth whitening kits. The easiest solution to your problem are home teeth whitening kits, because they are very effective, but they cost some money (prices start at $20, you can get free samples). If you don't want to pay for them, you can mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and brush your teeth with it. Natural whitening methods are good if you aren't in a hurry, because it takes some time before the effect is seen. The choice is up to you - some methods works better for some people, other for other people. If you have any doubts (possible side effect, maybe some teeth problems), you should consult with your dentist. Good luck!

Definitely I am so sure, that everybody will love to see clean, white and bright teeth. 100% guaranteed. So well, I can say that the existence of beautiful white teeth is what everybody wants to be part of their life. Why? Because every human love to be admired. Including you and me...that is why I write this. It is a kind of disturbance to all of us, to see in the mirror, the kind of teeth we have...yet we don't have maybe the clean...white teeth. Mostly, it can affect our self confidence...and even our self esteem, and radically to self hatred. So, I can say that most of us agree that white teeth is important. There are lots of teeth whiten products but the onlyone that i can suggest you is Altra white which i believe is the best.i'm useing it and i'm so satisfied with that i can give you a link and i'm sure 100% that it can help you too http://www.teethwhiten.com/?aid=823489

How can you whiten teeth without seeing a dentist?

Home remedies?
--------------------
Hey Michelle.. I tried tons of stuff from the Whitestrips to brushing with special toothpaste and all that. What ended up working for me was a thing called Celebrity Smile. You can order it online at http://mycelebsmile.com/y/ and I think they are still giving away free trials of it. On the website it says up to 5 shades and I don't really know how many shades I got but my teeth are tons whiter now!

Whitening remedies for a spot with worn away enamel?

I have this little spot on my tooth that is yellowish. I asked my dentist and she said it was a spot where some enamel has worn away. It's not a surprise. I eat lots of acidic foods and drink tons of tea. I'm looking for a home remedy to whiten my teeth because I can't get my teeth bleached that's way to expensive.
--------------------
You cannot bleach where enamel is missing. That is the dentin and it is always darker than enamel. You can create a very sensitive situation if you try and bleach dentin. It would be most uncomfortable, please be careful. Why not just ask your dentist to place a little bonding over it to match your other teeth, Sooooooo much easier and safe, This will also protect it from further erosion. I hope this helped. All the best. Peace

How do you get more white teeth?

Well, my teeth aren't yellow, but they aren't white, I was wondering is there are a fast easy way to get your teeth whitened? without going to the dentist
--------------------
Overall I would say that most of my patient's have had some measure of success with the Crest Whitestrips, some more than others. Our office uses Crest Supreme which are much stronger than what you can buy in a drugstore and don't cost that much more ($60.00 vs $30.00). You can purchase the drugstore version, but do yourself the favor of using them right after you get your teeth cleaned as any staining and buildup (tartar or plaque) will impede their ability to work. Also, don't use fluoride toothpaste before putting the strips on (same reason). The strips are probably your best low price alternative, much less than in office whitening or custom trays (about $500.00). I am also hearing happy reviews with the Aquafresh whitening trays, unlike the strips they don't have the tendency to slip or move). All of the methods (strips, trays, custom trays, in office whitening) have the potential to make your teeth temporarily sensitive, but will not harm the enamel. You might try to drink dark liquids through a straw and don't smoke. Most whitening toothpastes just remove stain on the surfaces of your teeth and therefore are not so effective. Whatever method you use it will not whiten your teeth for life, as you age your teeth will get darker and may need to be whitened again. Good luck! JAMRDH - a dental hygienist

Will adding a little bit of Baking Soda or Peroxide to my toothpaste weaken my teeth?

I was wanting to whiten my teeth but I don't want to use a whitening kit to do it because of all the other chemicals involved, and I've read the baking soda and peroxide are whitening agents, but I've also read NOT to use them by themselves, so can I add it to my anticavity Crest toothpaste? Will using it like once a week harm my teeth?
--------------------
I have always gotten compliments on how white my teeth. I wet my brush and then put on the toothpaste, (put a little in a container with a lid or keep a special box.) I dip my brush in the toothpaste and brush away! I do it a couple times a week. I tried several different methods that included the peroxide, but it only made my gums sting. Good luck.

whitening of teeth?

I've heard that if you have implants or bridges ( in the front of your mouth ) that it is not good to have the whitening process ( from the dentist or over the counter ) done, due to the implant or bridge will not change in color. Is this correct ?? If not, what do you think would work ?
--------------------
Yes this is correct. Only your natural enamel will change color. Its not bad for you to do this, it will make the bridge, implant or any other prosthetics stand out. That is why a patient should always be give the option to whiten prior to the crown, bridge, implant, restoration being placed. Unfortunately, nothing will work :(

What is a good product that will make your teeth really white!?

I am looking around the internet for some "healthy" whitening products. I want to whiten my teeth since they are yellow. I use crest vivid white toothpaste 2 times a day and it only made my teeth barely whiter. Not even notciable. I found this: http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com/ But I don't think it will work. Does anyone know any good whitening products I can buy that WONT harm my teeth or gums? Thanks!
--------------------
Baking soda and water. Make a paste in a small bowl or in the palm of your hand, cover your toothbrush with it and brush away. Baking soda is a very old method of tooth brushing and is good for teeth and gums. The grains in the baking soda scour off scum without harming your tooth enamel and they dissolve a bit as you scrub. It's perfectly safe. You can opt afterwards for a mouth rinse either containing some hydrogen peroxide or watered down hydrogen peroxide. Do not swallow hydrogen peroxide. This is also good for gum health and for whitening, which is why so many toothpastes have both baking soda and peroxide in them.

Baking soda will brighten your teeth, just rub it on. Lemon juice will just strip the enamel off your teeth and help cause cavities. Chris- Registered Nurse

is it bad to whiten teeth more than once?

well i want to whiten my teeth before braces because they're not perfectly white but i know i'll probably have to whiten them after as well to get rid of the track marks.. plus it'll cost me to whiten them before but it's free after braces.. but i'm really self-conscious and i'd feel pretty if i had whiter teeth and might feel ok going out, (i don't because i'm so self-conscious) but i don't want them to be hypersensitive either.. what's your opinion? thanks.
--------------------
Any form of whitening of the teeth, although so artificial looking, will not harm them in any way, whether its done once or 5 times! Vanity is such a unattractive trait!

hey whitening help for teeth?

so i have had braces for like 8 months im gettin thme off soon thank god lol.. andways i really want white teeth like jessica simpson my teeth arent yellow at all there super clean but there near white but there not i really want them white wat kinda thing will make them white... after i get my braces off thnxx million best answer 10 points!
--------------------
Get a professinal cleaning and follow it up with Zoom or Xoom whitening at your dentist. It will make them moviestar white!! I did this for my wedding and my teeth looked incredible. I drink a lot of coffee so they only stayed super white for a year. They are still nice but the coffee stains in ugly places. If you have sensitive teeth to cold or hot be weary because it will be painful when you do it. They stay sensitive for 48 hours. I mean sensitive. I went to a concert afterwards and the pounding of the subwoofers hurt my teeth. I would suggest taking painkillers and sleeping the night away.

Is toothpaste with baking soda/peroxide better for whitening than regular toothpaste?

I'm just curious. I see/hear people saying a lot that baking soda and/or peroxide can help whiten your teeth. I tried both, and honestly didn't like it, so I bought a toothpaste with both in it. So is it any better for your teeth than a regular anti-cavity toothpaste, or did I spend the extra money for nothing? Thanks!
--------------------
people say it does...but i personally just use regular...but sometimes i use it.

what happens if you whiten teeth ans they already have fluoride staining on them?

what happens to the stains and how can you get them away?
--------------------
Unfortunately, none of the whitening systems will remove fluoride stains. The staining will get whiter but you will still be able to see them. The only way to get a uniformly white tooth would be with tooth bonding or with porcelain veneers.

I want to whiten my teeth without bleaching trays from the dentist, so what do you reccomend?

Well I want one of these, but I don't know about which works better. So which of these: Crest Whitening Strips Premium Aquafresh White Trays Rembrandt Whitening Kits Listerine Dissolving Strips
--------------------
Crest Whitening Strips I'm an x-smoker, coffee and tea lover and let's just say my teeth turn colors other than white. I noticed a difference in the color of my teeth with one use of these. It doesn't take a entire box for one whitening. I've been using one box for the past year or so. I get my teeth cleaned and than use the strips for a few days. I use them once a day as I found my teeth got very sensitive with more usage.

Does anyone know how to whiten EXTREMELY sensitive teeth?

Crest White Strips did the whitening but it also did the stripping! It took a lot of enamel off of my teeth making them very very sensitive, I had to cover my mouth just to inhale (even the warmest air was too "cold"). My dentist told me ZOOM whitening was out of the question because of that but I spent a lot of money on braces/retainers and want to maintain my nice smile. What should I do? I should also mention that I use prescription toothpaste (similar to Sensodyne but stronger) to prevent sensitivity. Help!
--------------------
Crest White Strips cannot remove tooth enamel. You may have congenitally sensitive teeth because of tiny tubules in your teeth. Zoom whitening is a gimmick (as recent studies have shown) and you can do better by using take-home trays. Ask your dentist for a prescription strength fluoride paste (one brand name is Sooth Rx) and use it in the trays before you bleach. It works to seal those tiny tubes so that the sensitivity is greatly reduced. This will work way better than over-the-counter products such as Sensodine.

Need quick remedy for sensitive teeth from whitening?

I used one of the Crest White Strips last night (part of that Radiance system that has three strips to be used once a week for 3 weeks and a toothpaste to help protect enamel to be used daily). Anyway, it was my second week and I've never had a problem with sensitivity before- this morning when I woke up I felt fine, but now that I've been at work it's getting worse and worse. Does anyone know of something that I can do (at work) that will at least ease the pain on the tips of the front 4 teeth? !!!10 points for most useful answer!!! Thank you!
--------------------
You can get something call MI paste at your Dentist or get some Sendodyne toothpaste! I have incredibly sensitive teeth and thse both have worked amazingly for me! Also anbesol works like charm! Good luck, tooth pain is the worse!

What's the best way to whiten your teeth?

What's a good way to whiten your teeth without white strips because they make my teeth hurt. My teeth are very sensative.
--------------------
My girlfriend tried all sorts of different diets and products, most without success. Her friend let her try out a new Acai Berry product she was using and she now swears by it. Shes lost over 13 pounds already, most of the weight went from her tummy, hips, bottom and thighs. Apparently the Acai Berry flushes all the waste out your system and cleanses your body of toxins and bacteria. She got her own supply for free too, only had to pay a few dollars for shipping. Here's their site if you want to check it out: http://tr.im/h5Wp

I heard u can get teeth whiten from tanning salon?

your teeth probably don't whiten, but the tan sets them off and makes them seem whiter (kind of like when you wear darker lipstick your teeth look whiter)

Do strawberries actually whiten teeth?

I've heard people say mashing up starwberries and brushing with them or simply rubbing them on your teeth will whiten them. But is that really true? I mean, wouldn't that stain them red?
--------------------
Nope it wouldn't stain them, but it WILL wear away your enamel. (Which you can't 'grow' back) Don't brush with anything acidic , (lemon juice, strawberrys ect.) Try brushing with baking soda (it removes external stains)
