You can use hydrogen peroxide straight as a rinse to whiten your teeth (it's mostly water already). My grandma has done it for years, it's an old fashioned home remedy. In fact, the listerine whitening pre-brushing rinse is mostly hydrogen peroxide! Make sure not to swallow it, though. And be aware that it can be very drying... I don't use the hydrogen peroxide myself, but the listerine rinse made my mouth peel if I used it too much.

How can i naturally whiten my teeth?

I would say Crest White Strips. They are what I use and you get results fast, but they do tend to make your teeth feel sensitive for a couple days. This feeling will go away after the couple days though. I would only use them 2-3 times a year just to make sure you don't ruin your enamel. Also, there is an Arm & Hammer toothpaste called Arm & Hammer Advanced White that I have used that also helps a lot. I hope this helps!

yep..in excess. it will make your gums sore and your teeth really sensitive. I've been using this toothpaste call "Pronamel", it's kinda expensive but it helps build your enamel back up. even my dentist says my teeth are stronger.

The dentist told me that my teeth will be really white in 2 weeks. I did it for 4 days and my teeth got like 3 shades lighter. It was amazing. THe only problem is....your gums get irritated and then hot, cold, air anything pretty much irritates your teeth. But that goes away and the little bit of suffering is ok in the end.

When they say "gently brightens teeth" what do they mean?
That actually sounded really stupid.. but just to comfirm.. Is that the same way as saying that it whitens teeth? I have braces so I obviously don't want to use whitening toothpaste and I picked up a tube of Extreme Clean Empowermint by Aquafresh.. I read the back of the tube and box and it said nothing about whitening teeth.. but when I decided to google this toothpaste I found out that it said it "gently brightens teeth".. I should probably stop using it.. right?

Baking soda will remove stains on your teeth, which isn't the same as whitening them. If your teeth aren't white underneath those surface stains, then they won't be white afterwards either. Just slightly wet your toothbrush and dip it the baking soda, then brush normally.
