my teeh were really white when i got my braces on, but not they are duller and what not. i know you arent supposed to whiten your teeth with braces on so you wont have squares, but what if i'm trying to get it back to the original color? please help me !

your teeth seem duller now but they really aren't. i always thought that my braces made my teeth seem not as white. trust me don't worry about it. when you get your braces off your teeth will be just as white as they were before braces, that is if you are taking care of your teeth continuing to brush regularly and floss multiple times a week. flossing is sooo important!! if you feel that your teeth are not as white as you would like once you get your braces off then you might consider a whitening treatment of some sort. for now just look forward to the day you get those things off. its well worth it!!!

i had the procedure and i thought that the results were unimpressive. the process was sorta uncomfortable, and it was painful afterwards. i think u can get the same results doing bleaching at home- results are better and less painful.

Tres White! These are usually given to you by the dentist, but you can purchase them on Amazon or other places on line.. They are strong and you don't have to leave them in for long and the results are incredible. Some people have good luck with over the counter strips such as crest, listerine and all those other strips, but I did not. I needed somthing that had a tray that could mold to my mouth. The Tres White whitened my teeth more than any of those other over the counter ones worked. Once i got the white i wanted (which was using less than one package) i maintained my white teeth by using crest whitening toothpaste. and if i felt my teeth were starting to stain (after over a year) then i put in another tray and it got me back to my whitest color again. I just watched a You tube video of a this girl doing it she just used the peroxide and a tooth brush and then listerine and i think even brushed like normal after. Is that safe? Will my teeth be destroyed if i start doing this?

I am looking for suggestions to whiten my teeth. I have tried Crest strips, but they did next to nothing.?
I don't have a lot of money to spend on professionally done whitening, so I am wondering if anyone has found something (i.e., a certain toothpaste or something) that really works. The Crest Premium whitestrips did not work for me, neither has a toothpaste I had. Any suggestions?

Toothpastes only whiten teeth if your stains are surface stains. Most stains aren't on the surface of the enamel which means toothpaste whitening won't work. If Crest Whitestrips didn't work, then toothpastes definitely won't work. Now, the real question is why the Crest Whitestrips didn't work. First, are all of your teeth natural? The strips will only work on natural teeth. Second, how bad are your stains? The strips work best on yellow stains. If your teeth are severely stained or have gray stains, then the strips probably won't work. Lastly, did you follow the directions? Assuming that your teeth are all natural, and you followed the directions, then there is two things I can think of. Either you simply need to treat your teeth longer (I actually had to do this) and just use another box of the strips to start noticing the effect. Or your stains are too tough for an over the counter product and you need to see a dentist about getting a more concentrated bleaching agent. My advice is you be the judge. If your teeth "aren't that bad" and you "should" be a perfect candidate for Crest Whitestrips, I would try another course before consulting a dentist. If your teeth are pretty bad, then I wouldn't even bother with the strips and just go straight to the dentist.

Does anyone else use regular household bleach and baking soda to whiten their teeth?
I know that common 2% peroxide is common and safe but for better results (whiter teeth) is regular bleach unsafe if you're carful not to swallow it and you have no open cuts or sores on your gums?

To whiten your teeth select the color white, or an off white if that looks more realistic. Then use the airbrush tool to "brush" your teeth. You can lessen the opacity if you feel the color you chose comes through too strong. To give yourself a tan, use the eyedropper tool to select the tone of skin on your body that's dark. Then use use the airbrush tool. You may want to play around with the modes for effect. You may also want to use different tones of skin for different parts of your body to look more natural. So adjust as needed. I hope this helps.
