If you need an inexpensive method, Arm and Hammer Baking soda works well. Just pour a little in your hand, wet your toothbrush and then dip the toothbrush into the arm and hammer and brush your teeth with it. Afterwards you'll still need to brush your teeth with toothpaste to freshen your breath. It works really well.

After effects of tooth whitening?
I've heard that if you eat or drink certain things after using a teeth whitening product, your teeth will stain again with whatever you are consuming? Like if I drank koolaid after using a whitening product, my teeth will turn red/pink? Is this true? Has this happened to anyone?

Long term use of over the counter tooth whitening products will cause sensitivity, due to the acidic nature of the preservatives they put in there. Whitening in general needs to be monitored, because your teeth can only get so white, then you will start going the other way, you will actually start getting darker. So it is always good to have a hygienist or a dentist to monitor your progress even if you are going to use a otc product such as Crest white strips, so you don't do any permanent damage to your teeth.

How to edit pictures (whiten teeth, tan, etc?) without buying something?
Some of my friends edit their pictures a little but to make them a tad tanner or their teeth look real white. Any ideas on how to do this? I dont like downloading software, especially if it costs

How do I get teeth, skin, and a body high quality?
Right now I'm having an acne break out... bummer. I'm planning on getting the Neutrogena Wave, and Nivea toner and moisturizer. Think that'll help get picture perfect skin? Zoom whitening - what kind of toothpaste should/can I use?
I just got my teeth whitened and I was told not to use anything that might stain my teeth. My dentist also mentioned not to use mouth wash. I was just wondering, will using a blue colored toothpaste cause discoloration in my teeth?

yes it would but lightly. you should use baking soda toothpaste by arm and hammer. it helps to keep white teeth white and shiny. the toothpaste itself is white so you do not need to worry about it staining your teeth. or you can use crest or colgate vanilla flavored toothpaste too because its a creamy white color that does not stain your teeth. those are the two toothpastes that i use. hope this helps.

At the Dental Office I work at we charge $150 per arch for the initial treatment kit ( expected price range would be from $125 to $200) This price does include the fabrication of the custom trays. There are 5 syringes of the bleaching gel per kit and there is generally enough there for at least 10 treatments. Generally "refills" of the bleaching agent would cost $50.00. There are newer and faster types of In-Office bleaching, the Zoom system is by far the most common and should run about $275 - $350. Some patients do require more then one treatment with Zoom so it can get rather costly. We also sell the professional strength Crest White Strips in our office. Price range for these should be somewhere between $45 and $80. We have actually found that for many patients the White Strips are more effective and less likely to cause sensitivity. It's perfectly fine to bleach your teeth. Yes your teeth may be sensitive....but only for a couple days. You can stop bleaching when they get sensitive and then do it again once they feel better. I would recommend Crest White Strips Premium from the store or Crest White Strips Supreme from your dentist.

To save money, try out some of the new toothpastes out there that have whitening agents in them. I prefer Arm & Hammer or Crest Pro-Health. Arm & Hammer has peroxide in it, so if you choose to use that one, watch out for your clothes and towels, because it will leave bleach spots. Pearl Drops is another good brand, and they have a paste that have stuff in it to polish the surface of your teeth. I had left over cement on my teeth from braces, and that stuff helped to smooth out the surfaces of my teeth. Sometimes even good 'ol everyday baking soda does the trick, and I believe Arm & Hammer has baking soda in their toothpastes. Ask your dentist what he/she would recommend for store bought whitening systems, if you are willing to spend the money. Tooth whitening procedures done in the dentist office turn out results much faster than any at-home kit, but they tend to be much too expensive for us everyday working joes. Do some research on your own, ask people you know. The more informed you are, the better off you will be when it comes time to purchase the system you decide to use. Unfortunately, your dentist will not do any kind of whitening procedure for free, even though your discolorations may have happened because of your braces. You can have successful results with a whitening toothpaste, flossing religiously, and using mouthwash as directed. Not only will your teeth be whiter, they will be MUCH healthier, and in the long run, healthy teeth benefit you all around. Tooth decay can lead to heart disease along with other problems. My front tooth broke in half, and my dentist is going to be putting a crown on it... will I still be able to whiten my teeth?
