Do teeth whitening strips go old?

I have like, these Crest White Strips that I found the the back of my bathroom closet, and I wanted to use them. I stopped myself when I saw that they went old in 2004. D: They were my mum's a few years back, and she said I could use them because there were still a bunch of strips in there. I understand that they may not be as 'strong' as they would have been back then, like they might not whiten as vividly or something like that, but would it actually be BAD for you if you used 6 year old whitening strips? Thanks xx

Crest Whitening Strips have an expiration date that is printed on the package. The Crest Whitening Strips website says that expired strips are still safe to use, but will not whiten teeth as effectively as unexpired strips.
