Hey folks. Listen, I am considering on getting my teeth whitened. My teeth are pretty straight and healthy, and so I thought it would be awesome to just turn things up a knotch and go and get my teeth bleached. The particular system that my dentist uses is the Zoom whitening system. Can anyone explain the process ? What was the experience like ? Was it painful ? How much ? Was it worth it or pass on it ? I would really appreciate any experiences, tips or advice ! Thanks !

Zoom is an 'in office' procedure, time intensive and somewhat expensive.... Most offices now reccomend the 'take home tray' style whitening...a custom tray is moulded and then you whiten daily over a week or so with the same result as the zoom....BUT, you keep the tray and the re-treatment cost is just the cost of the bleaching vials....MUCH CHEAPER in the LONG run...as you will want to re-treat every 12-18 mos.....and the vials are less that $20 ea. SO, ask about a take-home style...the Zoom is a one-shot deal
