i can handle pain for a couple days but i want to know my teeth will be as white as they can be. i've tried the strips. it hurt too much for too long without working very well.

There isn't really anything at all that would work with one use except proper whitening at the dentist. If you don't want to leave anything on your teeth at all a great product I can recommend is 'teeth whiten tips'. It is really easy to use with just special cotton swabs and a gel that just rubs on and then off and at the moment they are offering a free trial so I have sourced that for you below. If you really don't want to use a whitening system from home all else I can recommend is 'Blanx stain removal' toothpaste, which will remove all stains built up over the years from coffee, cigerettes and soda.
