If I smile in the tanning bed, will the UV rays make my teeth whiter? I know the question is kind of stupid, but the lights in the tanning bed look like the ones the dentist use to whiten teeth. No stupid answers, please.

Yes! Twilight Teeth and Hollywood Whites are two products that claim that you can whiten your teeth during your tanning session. Somehow, the Ultra violet heat from the lamps in the bed of the tanning salons activates the Carbamide Peroxide gel, which in turn releases oxygen into the teeth that penetrates the enamel and lifts all types of stains from the teeth's enamel. But just so you know, without the aid such as these two products, the UV rays themselves won't make your teeth whiter.
