teeth whitening!?

can i use the baking soda method on my teeth if one of my tooth was chipped and i had bonding on it. WIll that tooth whiten? What othe rmethods are there to whiten my teeth then?
--------------------
Bonding does not cover the entire tooth itself. Bonding usually is used in repairing a chip. Bonding will not whiten, but if the bonding is lighter than the tooth, then you may be able to get to tooth back to its normal color to match that bond. Most over the counter whitening products do not work. If you go to your dentist, he can make an impression of your teeth and order a whitening tray to fit your teeth. The dentist will give you some whitening gel and you can wear your tray out and nobody will notice it. I wear mine for about an hour twice a month as maintenance. To begin with your dentist will give you a schedule to wear the tray that is more intensive. After that you will have the tray for future use. The gel is very inexpensive.
