On the internet, there is an advertisement where a stay-at-home mom combines two teeth whitening products for that of a professional thousand dollar whitening. The results are convincing, but before i try it, i want to make sure that it is both safe AND effective. any help would be nice.

I used the Colgate brush on stuff, and it worked all right, but not as well as professional whitening. Watch out what you are putting on your teeth. Many whitening agents can harm your enamel.
